        Effects of Advertising depending upon Type of Advertising and Form of Advertising Model

        Purpose - This study investigated whether there are differences in advertising effects depending on the type of advertising, divided into public service announcements (PSA) and commercial advertisements, and the form of advertising model. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - By investigating the difference in advertising effects due to the type of advertising and form of advertising model, the study was expected to reveal the optimal advertisements for achieving the desired advertising effects. The subjects were Jangan University students in their first and second year, with 102 copies of the survey questionnaire received for analysis. Results - The findings were different for the celebrities, professionals, and CEOs, except for the PSA; further, they were different among celebrities, professionals and the other types of model, except CEO, in commercial advertising. Simple regression results showed that both the professionals and CEO models had a positive impact on the effect of advertising in the case of the PSA. Conclusion - These results suggested that appropriate selection of the form of advertising model is a very important factor. Conversely, it has been suggested that the celebrity model is the most effective, reflecting the trend for commercial advertisements.

        Mechanism of Infarction Involving Ipsilateral Carotid and Posterior Cerebral Artery Territories

        <P><I>Backgrounds:</I> We investigated the potential mechanism of infarction involving the territories of both the internal carotid artery (ICA) and the ipsilateral posterior cerebral artery (PCA). <I>Methods:</I> Among consecutive patients with an ischemic stroke who had undergone both diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) and cerebral angiography, those who were found to have acute lesions in the ipsilateral ICA and PCA territories on DWI were selected for this study. The mechanism of infarction was sought by investigating angiographic findings and DWI lesion patterns. The frequency of patency between the ICA and PCA in the patient group was compared with that in the normal control group. <I>Results:</I> Infarctions involving ipsilateral ICA and PCA territories were rare (21 of 1,388 patients, 1.5%). Sixteen of those 21 patients (76%) demonstrated steno-occlusive lesions of the relevant ICA. Cardioembolic sources were rarely found. All but 1 patient with fetal-type PCA (fPCA) or the posterior communicating artery demonstrated significant ICA stenosis. The fPCA was more frequently found in the ipsilateral hemisphere of patients with an infarction than in the control group (44.4 vs. 18.5%, p = 0.006). Ischemic lesions in the ICA territory were usually small but multiple, and those in the PCA territory were single and located in the cortex. <I>Conclusions:</I> Large artery atherosclerosis of the carotid artery was very common in patients with infarctions involving the ipsilateral ICA and PCA territories.       • An Analysis on the Value Pursuit Discount Store Customers Using Means-end Chain Theory

        In this study, it was attempted to identify the clues for the value promotion that may be operated as a consumers' motive by shedding new light on the consumer value as well as by reconstructing each of the variables that had been analyzed in the meantime through the means-end chain theory(MEC). In this study, 202 copies of effective questionnaires were used by Yang & Ju(2012)’s data. As a result of the study, there are at least four important managerial or theoretical implications from this study: First, all of the store selection attributes were verified to have positive influence on the relationship quality. Second, even though the store selection attributes had been verified to exert positive(+) influence on the relationship quality, according to the verification result of the mediating effect, the consumer value was verified to be influenced only by the relationship quality rather than by the store selection attributes. Third, as a result of the path analysis on the proposed model after modification, with regard to the relationship quality of the general supermarkets in our country, it was verified that only the product factor had a statistically significant positive(+) influence and also that the social value was completely mediating between the relationship quality and the emotional value. Lastly, it may be pointed out that the concept of the MEC would be applicable to the cause and effect relationship model.

        The Association of Social Support and Quality of Life in Gynecological Cancer Related of Lymphedema in a Hospital: A Pilot Study

        The aim of this study was to investigate the association of social support and quality of life in patients with gynecological cancer related lymphedema. Methods We interviewed to patients with gynecology related lymphedema (n=27) for psychosocial effects, economic affects by questionnaire that we developed. Short form-36 ver. 2 questionnaire was used to assess quality of life of the patients. Beck`s depression index questionnaire was used to assess mood change of the patients. In addition, we identified support need for patients with gynecology cancer related lymphedema. Data were collected from 2009 to 2010. Results Patients with gynecology cancer related lymphedema have limitations to do lives such as activity of daily living, participate to leisure and exercise. Patients perceived symptoms were heaviness, limitation of range of motion, pain, weakness and feeling expansion in lower extremity. There was negative effect for financial status because of increase medical cost and decrease income. However, there was not affect to relationship with family. Half of the patients have some depression symptoms and there was significant decrease in quality of life such as especially, body pain and social functioning, compared to general population. Conclusion Gynecological cancer related lymphedema have negative effect in quality of life, socioeconomic state and patients needed more social support. Therefore, more attention and social support for patients with gynecology cancer related lymhedema are needed.

      • Revisited of Self-Enhancement Bias and Transformational Leadership : Approach of the Extended Theory of Planned Behavior and the Moderating Effect of Transformational Leadership

        The purpose of this study is attempted to identify any influencing relationship between the antecedent variables and the members' innovative work behavior that were expected to influence organizational performance based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the extended theory of planned behavior (ETPB). Specifically, we conducted attitude as intrinsic motivation, perceived behavioral control as self-efficacy, subjective norm as value based on TPB, and other influencing variable as self-enhancement based on ETPB. Also, it was attempted to find out whether or not transformational leadership played the role of a moderator variable between each variable and innovative work behavior. The survey was conducted SMEs in Seoul and metropolitan area. 158 copies of effective questionnaires were used. We analyzed CFA, Cronbach’s α and correlation analysis, regression analysis and multiple regression using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0. It was found that self-efficacy, value, intrinsic motivation and self-enhancing bias have been found out to have a positive relationship respectively with innovative work behavior. And the transformational leadership has moderated to have a statistically significant negative influence between value, intrinsic motivation and innovative work behavior, respectively. These results suggested that leaders will be successful in winning members' trust through conducting their behaviors as fitted to the applicable ethical and moral standards and through their fair, transparent and legitimate management practiced in an attitude of 'taking the initiative and setting an example,' solving such problems is well expected to be made possible.

It may be highlighted that the MEC theory concept would be applicable to the cause-and-effect relationship model.

        A Study on Leadership Trends from the Perspective of Domestic Researcher's Using BERTopic and LDA

        Purpose – This study aims to find clues necessary for the direction of leadership development suitable for the current situation by exploring the direction in which leadership has been studied from the perspective of domestic researchers, along with the arrangement of leadership theories studied in various ways. Research design, data, and methodology – A total of 7,425 papers were obtained due to the search, and 5,810 papers with English abstracts were used for analysis. For analysis, word frequency analysis, word clouding, and co-occurrence were confirmed using Python 3.7. In addition, after classifying topics related to research trends through BERTopic and LDA, trends were identified through dynamic topic modeling and OLS regression analysis. Result – As a result of the BERTopic, 14 topics such as ‘Leadership management and performance’ and ‘Sports leadership’ were derived. As a result of conducting LDA on 1,976 outliers, five topics were derived. As a result of trend analysis on topics by year, it was confirmed that five topics, such as 'military police leadership' received relative attention. Conclusion – Through the results of this study, a study on the reinterpretation of past leadership studies, a study on LMX with an expanded perspective, and a study on integrated leadership sub-factors of modern leadership theory were proposed.

        Gallbladder paraganglioma with hemorrhage: A case report and literature review

        Gallbladder paraganglioma (GP) is a rare tumor, with only 12 cases reported in the literature to date. Due to its rarity, clinical information of GP is insufficient. We present a case of GP in a 48-year-old female along with a literature review of all GP cases described to date. A 48-year-old female presented with intermittent right upper abdominal pain. Preoperative imaging revealed a hematoma in the gallbladder lumen without any definite etiology. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed. Gross examination of the gallbladder revealed multiple small stones and a large hematoma as well as a 1.6-cm-sized polypoid mass at the gallbladder fundus. Microscopic study of the polypoid mass showed a zellballen appearance. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed that the mass was positive for synaptophysin, CD56, and chromogranin, suggesting GP. GP is difficult to diagnose because of non-specific clinical findings. Almost all GP cases are diagnosed based on histologic findings after cholecystectomy. Simple cholecystectomy was performed as a treatment in all reported cases of GP, including our case. There was no postoperative tumor recurrence or metastasis after surgery.

        The Effects of Needle Electrode Electrical Stimulation on Cellular Necrosis Blocking the Forebrain after Induction of Ischemia

        This study was performed to investigate the effects of Needle Electrode Electrical Stimulation(NEES) on ischemia-induced cere˗ brovascular accidents. After obstruction and reperfusion of arteries in white mice, the amounts of necrosis and inflammation related sub˗ stances Bax, IL-6, Caspase-3, and COX-2 were measured in neurons of the fore-brain. The following results were obtained. This study used 21 male specific pathogen free(SPF) SD rats, 8 weeks of age and approximately 300g in weight. Each exposed artery was completely occluded with non-absorbent suture thread and kept in that state for 5 minutes. The sutures were then removed to allow reperfusion of blood. Test group is control group(common carotid artery occlusion models), a GI(underwent common carotid artery occlusion), and NEES(underwent NEES after artery occlusion). The GI and NEES groups were given 12, 24, or 48 hours of reperfusion before NEES. NEES device(PG6, ITO, Japan, 9V, current, 2Hz) was used to stimulate the bilateral acupoint ST36 of the SD rats for 30 minutes while they were sedated with 3% isoflurane. An immuno-his˗ tochemistry test was done on the forebrains of the GI induced rats. Both Bax and Caspase-3 immuno-reactive cells, related to apoptosis, were greater in the GI than the NEES group. Cox-2 and IL-6 immuno-reactive cells, related to inflammation, were greater in the GI and NEES groups than the control group. We can expect that applying NEES after ischemic CVA is effective for preventing brain cells from being destroyed. And we can conclude NEES should be applyed on early stage of ischemic CVA.

        Why Do We Pay for Advertising Models?: Suggestions for Maximizing Advertising Effectiveness

        service advertising (PSA) and commercial advertisements on consumers' social and emotional values. Specifically, we include source credibility on advertising models as a mediating variable to compare the path difference between the social and emotional value of consumers, and to test the appropriateness of advertising expenses. Research design, data, and methodology – A total of 219 copies of effective questionnaires were used and methodologies such as Cronbach’s alpha, paired samples t-test, and structural equation modeling (SEM) were conducted. Results – The results showed that the consumer model was effective at PSA, while celebrities and CEOs were effective at commercial advertising. Further, only credibility (among source credibility) made a significant difference in the test of PSA models of both PSA and commercial advertising that consumers preferred. Conclusions – The advertising model types varied depending on advertising types (for example, PSA and commercial advertising). Therefore, celebrities and CEOs appearing in commercial advertising should have no ethical or moral defect by self-control, and marketers should elect the model considering such a fact.
