      • An Iterative Learning Control Approach for Linear Time-invariant Systems with Randomly Varying Trial Lengths

        Xuefang Li,Jian-Xin Xu,Deqing Huang 제어로봇시스템학회 2013 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2013 No.10

This paper addresses an iterative learning control (ILC) design problem for discrete-time linear systems where the trial lengths could be randomly varying in the iteration domain. An ILC scheme with an iteration-average operator is introduced for tracking tasks with non-uniform trial lengths, which thus mitigates the requirement on classic ILC that all trial lengths must be identical. The learning convergence condition of ILC in mathematical expectation is derived through rigorous analysis. As a result, the proposed ILC scheme is applicable to more practical systems. In the end, an illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the performance and the effectiveness of the averaging ILC scheme.

Isolation of Cellulose from Wheat Straw and Its Utilization for the Preparation of Carboxymethyl Cellulose

        Hailong Li,Hai-Rong Zhang,Lian Xiong,Xuefang Chen,Can Wang,Chao Huang,Xin-De Chen 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.5

Cellulose was isolated from wheat straw by the combined pretreatment including dilute acid hydrolysis, ethanolextraction, and alkaline H2O2 delignification. The effects of varying the parameters on carboxymethylation on isolatedcellulose were investigated. Furthermore, the chemical structure of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) prepared from wheatstraw was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopeanalysis. The isolated cellulose is mainly composed of cellulose without hemicellulose and with minors of lignin and ash. The optimal conditions for carboxymethylation were base concentration, 20 %; reaction temperature, 70 oC; reaction time,2 h; mass ratio of etherifying agent to cellulose, 1.75. Under the optimized conditions, CMC with high degree of substitution(0.88) and low viscosity (18 mPa·s) was synthesized. Chemical structural characterization showed the feasibility of thepreparation of CMC from wheat straw. The constituents of wheat straw would be maximally utilized by the proposed method.

      • Iterative Learning Control of Linear Distributed Parameter Systems.Frequency Domain Design and Analysis

        Deqing Huang,Xuefang Li,Jian-Xin Xu,Chao Xu 제어로봇시스템학회 2013 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2013 No.10

This paper aims at iterative learning control (ILC) design and analysis for a class of linear distributed parameter systems (DPSs) that may be hyperbolic, parabolic, or elliptic, and include many important physical processes such as diffusion, vibration, heat conduction and wave propagation as special cases. Owing to the linear characteristic of systems, the system equations are first cast into a matrix form in the Laplace transform domain. Then, through determination of a fundamental matrix, the system transfer function is precisely evaluated in a closed form. The derived transfer function clearly demonstrates the input-output relationship of system, and thus facilitates the consequent ILC design and convergence analysis in the frequency domain. The proposed control design scheme is able to deal with parametric and non-parametric uncertainties and makes full use of the process repetition, while avoids any simplification or discretization for the 3D dynamics of distributed parameter systems in the time, space, and iteration domains. In the end, an illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed ILC scheme.

Chromatin-remodeling Factor INI1/hSNF5/BAF47 Is Involved in Activation of the Colony Stimulating Factor 1 Promoter

        Xianlu Zeng,Xuefang Pan,Zhaoxia Song,Lei Zhai,Xiaoyun Li 한국분자세포생물학회 2005 Molecules and cells Vol.20 No.2

INI1/hSNF5/BAF47 is a core component of the hSWI/ SNF ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex, and it has been implicated in regulating gene expression, cell division and tumorigenesis. We investigated whether INI1/hSNF5/BAF47 functions in activation of the colony stimulating factor 1 (CSF1) promoter in HeLa cells. Overexpression of INI1/hSNF5/BAF47 promoted CSF1 transcription, and siRNA targeting INI1/hSNF5/ BAF47 (siINI1) strongly inhibited the activity of the CSF1 promoter. We demonstrated that all conserved domains of INI1/hSNF5/BAF47 are needed for CSF1 transcription. ChIP experiment showed that INI1/ hSNF5/BAF47 is recruited to the region of the CSF1 promoter. Taken together, these results indicate that INI1/hSNF5/BAF47 is involved in activation of the CSF1 promoter

Preparation of mesoporous silica from coal slag and its metal ion adsorption behavior

        Xinying Zhang,Yu Wu,Xuefang Li,Xianlong Meng,Huihu Shi,Zhaojun Wu,Jianbin Zhang 한국화학공학회 2019 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.36 No.5

A novel mesoporous silica (MS) with the high specific surface area up to 1,199m2/g was prepared from coal slag by SO3 2 leaching and hydrothermal synthesis. Its application in metal ion removal was explored using Pb2+, Cu2+, Co2+ and Cd2+ as the model ions. The effects of adsorption time, pH, initial metal ion concentration, adsorbent dosage and adsorption temperature on the metal ion adsorption behaviors of the as-prepared MS were systematically, and the maximum adsorption capacities were measured to be 55.76mg·g1, 33.49mg·g1, 24.29mg·g1 and 22.98mg· g1 for Pb2+, Cu2+, Co2+ and Cd2+, respectively. The metal ion adsorption on the as-prepared MS followed pseudo-second- order kinetics, and the adsorption isotherm fitted the Langmuir isotherm model, indicating that the adsorption was spontaneous, endothermic and enthalpy driven.

Current progress on gold recovery from refractory ore and waste electrical and electronic equipment

        Ji Xuran,Shen Zhijie,Xu Wenping,Yao Shimiao,Zhang Hairong,Xiong Lian,Li Hailong,Guo Haijun,Chen Xuefang,Chen Xinde 한국화학공학회 2023 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.40 No.9

The physical and chemical properties of gold promote its application, such as in the high-tech, electronic products, and aerospace industries. The easily leachable ore is gradually depleted. Thus, it becomes necessary to extract gold from other resources such as refractory ore and electrical and electronic equipment. The normal method of leaching for gold is cyanide leaching, but it is very dangerous for both environment and operator. Non-cyanide leaching methods, including thiourea leaching, halide leaching, and sulfate leaching have been developed to substitute cyanide leaching. A variety of methods to enrich gold from leaching solutions are described in this paper, including solvent extraction, electrowinning, activated carbon adsorption, and ion exchange resins. Among those methods, ion exchange resins can adsorb gold with high adsorption efficiency and regenerate easily as well. This paper focuses on the research progress of the recovery of gold from non-cyanide leachates by ion exchange resins, summarizes the existing resin types and elution processes, points out the limitations in the application of current ion exchange resins, and discusses possible solutions.
