      • 표지디자인 시각적 구성 요인 변형이 선호도와 구매 의도에 미치는 영향

        유아에게 지적, 정서적으로 영향을 크게 미치는 유아 그림책 표지디자인의 중요성의 인식과 관심이 낮은 편이다. 중국에 수출되는 한국 그림책의 표지디자인의 시각적 구성요인을 분석을 통해 표지디자인의 이미지 품질개발 등의 시사점을 제언하고자 한다. 본 연구는 그림책 표지디자인의 시각적 구성요소의 선호도 차이와 고려수준을 분석하고, 신뢰도 분석과 상관관계분석을 통해 각 구성요소 간 연관도를 검증하였다. 소비자 행동 검증을 위한 종속변수는 구매의도를 단순회귀분석을 통해 측정하였다. 연구를 위해 중국 내 최대 온라인서점인 당당왕(当当网)에서 판매 순위 10위권의 한국 그림책을 선정하여 검증하였다. 연구결과 그림책을 구입할 때 누적응답률 96.6%가 표지디자인을 고려하는 것으로 나타났으며, 고려수준이 그림책 선호도를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 중국어 번역본의 표지디자인 변형을 분석한 결과, 타이포그래피가 60%로 가장 변경이 많이 되었으나, 설문조사를 통한 분석에서는 사진과 일러스트레이션을 포함한 이미지 요소에 대한 선호도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 그림책 선호도가 높으면 그림책 구매 의도는 통계적으로 .628로 매우 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 표지디자인의 이미지 품질과 색채개발을 통한 선호도 향상이 구매의도의 제고에 영향을 크게 미치고 있음을 검증하였다. Recognition and interest in the importance of early childhood picture book cover design, which greatly affects infants intellectually and emotionally, are low. Through analyzing the visual components of the cover design of Korean picture books exported to China, I would like to suggest implications such as the development of image quality of the cover design. This study analyzes the preference differences and the level of consideration of visual components of picture book cover design. We validate the association between each component through reliability analysis and correlation analysis. The dependent variable for verification of consumer behavior was measured through simple regression of purchase intent. For the research, the largest online bookstore in China, Dangdangwang, selected the top 10 Korean picture books in sales and verified them. When purchasing picture books, 96.6% of the cumulative response rate was found to consider cover design, and the level of consideration was found to increase picture book preference. Analysis of cover design variations in Chinese translations showed that typography was the most changed with 60%, but analysis through surveys showed the highest preference for image elements. Moreover, the high preference for picture books has shown that the intention to purchase picture books is statistically very high at .628. Based on the results of this study, we verify that the improvement of preference through image quality and color development of cover designs has a significant impact on the enhancement of purchase intent.

        Two scale modeling of behaviors of granular structure: size effects and displacement fluctuations of discrete particle assembly

        This study’s primary aim is to check the existence of a representative volume element for granular materials and determine the link between the properties (responses) of macro structures and the size of the discrete particle assembly used to represent a constitutive relation in a two-scale model. In our two-scale method the boundary value problem on the macro level was solved using finite element method, based on the Cosserat continuum; the macro stresses and modulus were obtained using a solution of discrete particle assemblies at certain element integration points. Meanwhile, discrete particle assemblies were solved using discrete element method under boundary conditions provided by the macro deformation. Our investigations focused largely on the size effects of the discrete particle assembly and the radius of the particle on macro properties, such as deformation stiffness, bearing capacity and the residual strength of the granular structure. According to the numerical results, we suggest fitting formulas linking the values of different macro properties (responses) and size of discrete particle assemblies. In addition, this study also concerns the configuration and displacement fluctuation of discrete particle assemblies on the micro level, accompanied with the evolution of bearing capacity and deformation on the macro level.

        Dual-template synthesis of interconnected 3D hollow N-doped carbon network for electrochemical application

        Recently, hollow carbon spheres (HCS) have aroused great interests in the field of energy storage and conversion owing to their unique morphology, structure and other charming properties. Nevertheless, unsatisfactory electrical conductivity and relatively poor volumetric energy density caused by inevitable gaps between discrete carbon spheres greatly impede the practical application of HCS. In this work, for the first time we propose a novel dual-template strategy and successfully fabricate interconnected 3D hollow N-doped carbon network (HNCN) by a facile and scalable pyrolysis process. By systematical characterization and analysis, it can be found that HNCN is assembled by HCS and lots of mesoporous carbon. Compared to the counterparts, the obtained HNCN exhibits unique 3D interconnected architecture, larger specific surface area, hierarchical meso/macropore structure, higher structure defects, higher N doping amount and more optimized N configurations (especially for pyridinic-N and graphitic-N). As a result, these advantageous features endow HNCN with remarkably promoted electrochemical performance for supercapacitor and oxygen reduction reaction. Clearly, our proposed dual-template strategy provides a good guidance on overcoming the intrinsic shortcomings of HCS, which undoubtedly broadens their application in energy storage and conversion.

        Preparation of self‑supporting Co3S4/ S‑rGO film catalyst for efficient oxygen evolution reaction

        Exploring cheap and efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts is extremely vital for the commercial application of advanced energy storage and conversion systems. Herein, a self-supporting Co3S4/ S-doped reduced graphene oxide ( Co3S4/S-rGO) film catalyst is successfully prepared by a blade coating coupled with high-temperature annealing strategy, and its morphology, structure and composition are measured and analyzed. It is substantiated that the as-synthesized Co3S4/ S-rGO film possesses unique self-supporting structure, and is composed of uniformly dispersed Co3S4 nanoparticles and highly conductive S-rGO, which benefit the exposure of catalytic sites and electron transfer. By reason of the synergistic effect of the two individual components, the self-supporting Co3S4/ S-rGO film catalyst displays outstanding catalytic performance towards OER. As a consequence, the Co3S4/ S-rGO film catalyst delivers an overpotential of 341 mV at 10 mA cm-2, and the current attenuation rate is only 2.6% after continuous operation for 4 h, verifying excellent catalytic activity and durability. Clearly, our results offers a good example for the construction of high-performance self-supporting carbon-based composite film catalysts for critical electrocatalytic reactions.

        <P>Hydrazine induced toxicity causes serious harm to the health of humans. The detection of N<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB> in vitro and in vivo has attracted a great deal of attention, especially in the context of fluorescent probes. Although some fluorescent N<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB> probes have been reported, only a few operate in purely aqueous media and, as a result, require the use of organic cosolvents which hinders their use in analysis of real samples. In addition, most of the current N<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB> probes are either “off-on” or “on-off” types, in which it is difficult to eliminate interference from background fluorescence commonly occurring in in vitro and in vivo systems. Furthermore, some probes are unable to differentiate hydrazine from other organic amines. To address the above problems, we developed a novel oligo(ethylene glycol)-functionalized fluorescent probe for the detection of N<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB>. The probe, which has a donor−π-acceptor (D−π-A)-type structure, is water-soluble, and it can be utilized to selectively detect N<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB> in both colorimetric and ratiometric mode. Furthermore, the probe is able to differentiate hydrazine from other organic amines and can be used to detect hydrazine vapor and for imaging A549 cells and zebrafish.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Fundamental effects in nanoscale thermocapillary flow

        When implemented on the nanoscale, material flows driven by gradients in temperature, sometimes known as thermocapillary flows, can be exploited for various purposes, including nanopatterning, device fabrication, and purification of arrays of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). Systematic experimental and theoretical studies on thermocapillary flow in thin polymer films driven by heating in individual metallic SWNT over a range of conditions and molecular weights reveal the underlying physics of this process. The findings suggest that the zero-shear viscosity is a critical parameter that dominates the dependence on substrate temperature and heating power. The experimentally validated analytical models in this study allow assessment of sensitivity to other parameters, such as the temperature coefficient of surface tension, the thermal interface conductance, and the characteristic length scale of the heated zone.
