Performance analysis of information propagation in DTN-like scale-free mobile social network

( Zhifei Wang ),( Su Deng ),( Hongbin Huang ),( Yahui Wu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2014 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.8 No.11

Mobile social network can be seen as a specific application of the DTN (Delay Tolerant Network), in which the information propagation can be impacted by many social behaviors of the nodes. For a specific node, its social behaviors are various. For example, the node may not be interested in the information before receiving it and may also discard the information after getting it. On the other hand, people are more willing to forward the message to his friends. These interactive behaviors between nodes can be seen as social behaviors. It is easy to see that the impact of the social behaviors is related to the social ties, which can be manifested by the structure of the social network. State of the art works often simply assumes that the social networks can be divided into some communities. At present, some works find that the structure of some social networks is scale-free. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a theoretical model to evaluate the impact of above social behaviors in the DTN-like scale-free network. Simulation shows the accuracy of the model. Numerical results show that both social behaviors and scale-free character have significant impact on information propagation. Moreover, the impact of social behaviors is related to the scale-free character of the networks.

Trapidil determines the fate of RHF rats through inhibition of ER stress

        Yilin Wang,Yu Wang,Chengxi Wei,Quan Wan,Zhifei Fan,Liying Xuan,Wanru Geng,Liqun Shao,Jie Long,Junyi Gu,Ming Zhao 대한약학회 2020 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.43 No.4

Pulmonary arterial hypertension is a fatal disease, especially when it causes right heart failure (RHF). However, it is difficult to treat. It has been reported thattrapidil (Tra) can improve the redox balance and cardiacconditions. In this study, we investigated the effect of Tra onRHF induced by monocrotaline (MCT) in rats. Male Wistarrats were treated with MCT or Tra. Treatment lasted 28 days, then rats were euthanized after echocardiography and catheterization. Subsequently, lungs and right ventricular myocardiawere evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin, Masson, and TUNEL staining. Protein expression was detected bywestern blotting. We found remarkably expanded rightventricle end-diastolic volume, decreased partial pressureof oxygen (PaO2), increased partial pressure of carbondioxide (PaCO2), right ventricular systolic pressure, meanpulmonary arterial pressure, lung/body weight, and liver/body weight in the RHF rat group, as well as increases inthe apoptosis rate and the expression of endoplasmic reticulumstress (ERS)-related proteins. However, these changes were significantly inhibited by Tra. Our data suggested thatinhibition of ERS is essential for improving RHF, and thattherapeutic intervention of Tra in RHF rats works by reducingERS.

Unified solutions for piezoelectric bilayer cantilevers and solution modifications

Zhifei Shi,Xianfeng Wang 국제구조공학회 2015 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.16 No.5

Based on the theory of piezoelasticity, the static performance of a piezoelectric bilayer cantilever fully covered with electrodes on the upper and lower surfaces is studied. Three models are considered, i.e., the sensor model, the driving displacement model and the blocking force model. By establishing suitable boundary conditions and proposing an appropriate Airy stress function, the exact solutions for piezoelectric bilayer cantilevers are obtained, and the effect of ambient thermal excitation is taken into account. Since the layer thicknesses and material parameters are distinguished in different layers, this paper gives unified solutions for composite piezoelectric bilayer cantilevers including piezoelectric bimorph and piezoelectric heterogeneous bimorph, etc. For some special cases, the simplifications of the present results are compared with other solutions given by other researches based on one-dimensional constitutive equations, and some amendments have been found. The present investigation shows: (1) for a PZT-4 piezoelectric bimorph, the amendments of tip deflections induced by an end shear force, an end moment or an external voltage are about 19.59%, 23.72% and 7.21%, respectively; (2) for a PZT-4-Al piezoelectric heterogeneous bimorph with constant layer thicknesses, the amendments of tip deflections induced by an end shear force, an end moment or an external voltage are 9.85%, 11.78% and 4.07%, respectively, and the amendments of the electrode charges induced by an end shear force or an end moment are both 1.04%; (3) for a PZT-4-Al piezoelectric heterogeneous bimorph with different layer thicknesses, the maximum amendment of tip deflection approaches 23.72%, and the maximum amendment of electrode charge approaches 31.09%. The present solutions can be used to optimize bilayer devices, and the Airy stress function can be used to study other piezoelectric cantilevers including multi-layered piezoelectric cantilevers under corresponding loads.

Electromechanical analysis of 2-2 cement-based piezoelectric transducers in series electrically

Wang, Jianjun,Shi, Zhifei Techno-Press 2014 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.14 No.3

This paper aims to present the analytical solutions of 2-2 cement based piezoelectric transducers in series electrically based on the theory of piezo-elastic dynamics. The solutions of two different kinds of 2-2 cement based piezoelectric transducers under external harmonic load are obtained by using the displacement method. The effects of electrical connection of piezoelectric layers, loading frequency, thickness and distance of piezoelectric layers on the characteristics of the transducers are discussed. Comparisons with other related experimental investigations are also given, and good agreement is found. The proposed 2-2 cement based piezoelectric transducers have a great potential application in monitoring structural health in civil engineering and capturing mechanical energy or monitoring train-running safety in railway system and traffic safety in road system.

Analysis, Design and Implementation of Flexible Interlaced Converter for Lithium Battery Active Balancing in Electric Vehicles

Dai, Shuailong,Wang, Jiayu,Li, Teng,Shan, Zhifei,Wei, Yewen The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2019 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.19 No.4

With the widespread use of modern clean energy, lithium-ion batteries have become essential as a more reliable energy storage component in the energy Internet. However, due to the difference in monomers, some of the battery over-charge or over-discharge in battery packs restrict their use. Therefore, a novel multiphase interleaved converter for reducing the inconsistencies of the individual cells in a battery pack is proposed in this paper. Based on the multiphase converter branches connected to each lithium battery, this circuit realizes energy transferred from any cell(s) to any other cell(s) complementarily. This flexible interlaced converter is composed of an improved bi-directional Buck-Boost circuit that is presented with its own available control method. A simulation model based on the PNGV model of fundamental equalization is built with four cells in PSIM. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that converter and its control achieve simple and fast equalization. Furthermore, a comparison of traditional methods and the HNFABC equalization is provided to show the performance of the converter and the control of lithium-based battery stacks.

Suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid suppresses axonal damage and neurological dysfunction after subarachnoid hemorrhage via the HDAC1/HSP70/TDP-43 axis

        Luo Kui,Wang Zhifei,Zhuang Kai,Yuan Shishan,Liu Fei,Liu Aihua 생화학분자생물학회 2022 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.54 No.-

Increased focus has been placed on the role of histone deacetylase inhibitors as crucial players in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) progression. Therefore, this study was designed to expand the understanding of SAH by exploring the downstream mechanism of the histone deacetylase inhibitor suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) in SAH. The expression of TDP-43 in patients with SAH and rat models of SAH was measured. Then, western blot analysis, immunofluorescence staining, and transmission electron microscope were used to investigate the in vitro effect of TDP-43 on a neuronal cell model of SAH established by oxyhemoglobin treatment. Immunofluorescence staining and coimmunoprecipitation assays were conducted to explore the relationship among histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1), heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), and TDP-43. Furthermore, the in vivo effect of HDAC1 on SAH was investigated in rat models of SAH established by endovascular perforation. High expression of TDP-43 in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with SAH and brain tissues of rat models of SAH was observed, and TDP-43 accumulation in the cytoplasm and the formation of inclusion bodies were responsible for axonal damage, abnormal nuclear membrane morphology, and apoptosis in neurons. TDP-43 degradation was promoted by the HDAC1 inhibitor SAHA via the acetylation of HSP70, alleviating SAH, and this effect was verified in vivo in rat models. In conclusion, SAHA relieved axonal damage and neurological dysfunction after SAH via the HSP70 acetylation-induced degradation of TDP-43, highlighting a novel therapeutic target for SAH.

      • Image Thresholding by Minimizing Tsallis Divergence Measure

Fangyan Nie,Xiaolin Wang,Shuanghui Yu,Zhifei Liao 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.8

This paper presents a novel image segmentation method that performs histogram thresholding based on the conception of Tsallis generalized divergence. Firstly, to fit the image segmentation task, the original formula of Tsallis divergence was simplified, and then the symmetrical version was constructed. After that, the criterion of divergence sum of the objective and background between original and thresholded image was set up based on the symmetrical version of the Tsallis divergence. The optimal threshold obtained by minimizing the criterion of divergence sum. Finally, the proposed method was tested on different gray level images, and the performance was evaluated using uniformity measure, shape measure, and CPU run time. Experimental results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
