The aim of this research was to clarify how to raise children with a tendency of developmental disabilities without lowering self-affirmation. We conducted an interview research subjecting parents with children with a tendency of developmental disabilities and nursery teachers. The subject of this research was 42 parents who have children with a tendency of developmental disabilities between the age of 4 to 10, and 26 nursery teachers who have children with a tendency of developmental disabilities in their class. Large factors in lowering their self-affirmation were not to praise the child, keep scolding at them, and not having the experience of success where children feel like they accomplished something. It was verified that in order to enhance the children s self-affirmation, it is important to have smaller goals and change the method in the way that the child can do according to the child s developmental level rather than the standardized level of development. In other words, it can be said that it is important for parents to set up the environment where children feel like they can do it, praise the child if they succeed even a little, and the child can visually verify their success.

The purpose of this study was to clarify how guardians place small children on escalators when children and guardians ride on escalators together and how many inappropriate behaviors are done by the guardians. A group of a preschool child and guardian(s) counts as one case, and 13 research at 8 locations (each research time is 1 hour, in total 13 hours), a total of 590 cases using an escalator installed at that location were analyzed. Regarding the way preschool children and guardians use escalators, we classified them into 15 categories. About 20% of guardians have inappropriate manners including “An adult carries a child on his shoulders”, “A child is in a stroller”, “Both an adult and a child walk”, when they get on escalators with children.

The aim of this research was to examine how their awareness of poverty changed through 2 lectures (“lecture on specific matters of absolute poverty” and “lecture to experience the imitation of poverty issues”). Research subjects were 69 responses. Through the 2 lectures, students recognized that “none of the family members have a job” as being in poverty and the reason why poverty does not disappear is that “there is no work even though they want to work”. Furthermore, “receiving public assistance” was recognized as being in poverty but after the lecture, receiving public assistance is a right protected by the society and receiving public assistance itself does not mean that they are in poverty. In addition, through the 2 lectures, their awareness about reason for poverty not disappearing changed to “people are not interested in the poverty issues” and “we need to think about the richness for the people in poverty even if that means to sacrifice your own richness”.

In this study, I would like to write about the change of the barrier-free situation by comparing the results of field research conducted between before and during the Olympic was held. The main places in research are the area around Beijing station, around Tiananmen square, around Wangfujing Street, Beijing international airport. The Olympic changed the situation into the subway station and airport be repaired to a large degree and facilities and the equipment be set up, so we could say the barrier-free was promoted . However, facilities , buildings with the equipment and public transport system that have such a function were just dotted about at the present time and it is hard to say the barrier-free was connected up with the line around the city. In addition to it, obstacles were seen on tactile ground surface indicators, etc. So there is a situation that the idea of barrier-free facilities and the equipment is not widespread among citizens

This study was conducted to verify whether image of characters differ due to cultural differences or not between Japan and South Korea. Survey participants were 256 child-care providers in Japan and 158 child- care providers in South Korea In this study we could verify that child-care providers of Japan as well as South Korea would like to recommend a character that conveys the feeling of "vigor" to children. We can also say that "vigor" and "w따mth" that child- care providers of Japan seek from characters and "emotions not in abundance", "vigor" and "elegance" that child- care providers of South Korea seek from characters are the characteristics and attributes that they would the children to acquire. Moreover, it also came to light that there is tendency to recommend ones favorite character to children.
