Cadmium sulfide thin films with capping agent of EDTA for oxygen gas sensor applications
L.Dhatchinamurthy,P.Thirumoorthy,L. Arun Raja 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2016 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.17 No.11
The Cadmium sulfide/Ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (CdS/EDTA) nanostructure thin film was prepared on a glasssubstrate using spin-coating method and it was used for gas sensor applications. The structure properties of CdS/EDTA werecomparatively characterized. The nanostructured thin film was found both in hexagonal and cubic structure with an averagecrystallite size of 41 nanometer (nm). The stretching and vibration mode of CdS/EDTA was confirmed through Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy. The surface morphology of the nano particles was investigated using scanning electronmicroscope, which showed uniformly distributed crystalline surface. The values of band gap energy for CdS and CdS/EDTAare respectively, 4.20 and 4.17 eV. The Photoluminescence spectra of the CdS/EDTA films were exhibited green and yellowband emissions. Oxygen was suitably tailored to verify the sensor response over a concentration range of 20-100 ppm at roomtemperature. The observed results reveals that the performance, response, and recovery time of sensors were increased bychelating agent of CdS/EDTA thin film.
Exploring the Experiential Aspect of Home-Stay in Kampung Lonek Using Diary Method
Ghazali Musa,Kalsom Kayat,Thinaranjeney Thirumoorthi 세계문화관광학회 2008 Conference Proceedings Vol.9 No.0
Home-stay is one of the Malaysian government efforts to diversify its cultural tourism product. Tourists are adopted by their foster families and experience the traditional life in Malay villages. This study explores the experiential aspects of home-stay holidays in Kampung Lonek using diary method. Nineteen diaries were returned and analyzed using NVIVO. The paper proposes a home-stay experiential model which explains the phases of travel experience including the on-site experience. Among the on-site experience dimensions are 'Environmental Experience', 'Activity, Culture and Knowledge Experience' and 'Human Interaction Experience'. The uniqueness of home-stay experience is discussed along with some management implications.
