DESIGN OF REGENERATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE BASED ON SUPERCAPACITOR WITH FUZZY PID

        Suyanto,Purwadi Agus Darwito,Ruri Agung Wahyuono,Muh. Samsul Arifin,Bambang Sudarmanta 한국자동차공학회 2023 International journal of automotive technology Vol.24 No.1

The Hybrid Electrical Energy Storage System (HESS) with supercapacitors in “GESITS” electric motorcycle offers greater power density and cycle life as well as a wider operating temperature range compared to batteries so as to maximize the existing regenerative braking features. In this study, the Four Switch Buck Boost Converter (FSBB) with Power Transfer is used as a current regulator to connect HESS. Fuzzy PID control is used to regulate the current that passes through the power transfer so that the braking force can be controlled based on the brake pull variable, vehicle speed and SOC supercapacitor. The results of the fuzzy control test with the MATLAB Fuzzy Designer obtained an average error of 1.44 %. While the results of the ITAE PID tuning method obtained a rise time of 3.33 seconds, a settling time of 3.11 seconds, an overshoot of 9.20 % and a steady state error of 2.20 %. From the results of the regenerative mode test, when given an input of 28-4 VDC, the average output voltage is 16.34 VDC with an average current of 8 A. While in the drive mode test with 28 VDC input, the average output voltage is 23.98 VDC and average current is 3.99 A with FSBB efficiency of 90.54 %.

The Impact of Financial Socialization and Financial Literacy on Financial Behaviors: An Empirical Study in Indonesia

Suyanto SUYANTO,Doddy SETIAWAN,Rahmawati RAHMAWATI,Jaka WINARNA 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.7

The research aims to evaluate college students’ financial behavior and provide empirical insight into factors that may influence their financial behavior by investigating whether financial socialization, financial experience, and financial literacy are meaningful for students’ financial behavior. The surveys data was conducted with 595 college students from all over Indonesia then analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results demonstrate that financial socialization positively influences financial literacy and financial behavior. On the other hand, financial experience has a negative influence on financial literacy, yet a positive one on financial behavior. Furthermore, the result also shows financial socialization are the key determinant of financial literacy and financial literacy is vital and plays an essential role for financial behavior and it may derive from financial socialization and financial literacy. It indicates that the influence of social agents can benefit students in improving their financial literacy and behavior. However, experience also can influence their financial behaviors. The lack of experience of college students leads to inadequate financial knowledge and raises their risk of financial decisions. Students with sufficient financial knowledge and exhibiting good financial behavior can make wise decisions in financial planning and management, thus may prevent financial issues in the future.

The Effect of Bad Credit and Liquidity on Bank Performance in Indonesia

SUYANTO, Suyanto Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.3

The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of bad credit and liquidity on bank performance with the mediation of capital adequacy. Data were provided by banking institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from the period of 2011-2019. The analysis technique was PLS-SEM supported by an application named WarpPLS 6.0. The results of the research show that the effect of bad credit and liquidity on bank performance is not significant. A high level of bad credit is associated with a low level of bank performance. Bank earnings decline along with low profitability. This relationship is not significant because banks can still cover some proportions of bad credit through capital availability. Capital adequacy as an intervening variable has mediated partially the effect of bad credit and liquidity on bank performance. Besides, capital adequacy has a strong effect on credit distribution. Agency theory says that the owner of the fund (the savers of saving account, current account, deposit account) is called principal while the bank as the trusted institution to manage the fund is called an agent. If customers fulfill their duty, then bad credit never happens.

The Impact of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction: The Role of Price

Sri Lestari PRASILOWATI,Suyanto SUYANTO,Julia SAFITRI,Mursida Kusuma WARDANI 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.1

This research seeks to find out how to provide satisfaction to consumers. The aim is to analyze and test empirically the effect of price and sales promotion on customer satisfaction that is mediated by service quality. This study uses primary data; questionnaires are distributed to 100 consumers at the Jingga Project boutique. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The data were collected using a questionnaire measured by a Likert scale with analysis tools using Warp PLS 7.0. The results showed that the variables price and sales promotion have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the mediating variable, namely, service quality, is proven to be able to indirectly mediate the effect of price and sales promotion on customer satisfaction. In line with the marketing theory, which states that customer satisfaction is the feeling of pleasure or disappointment of someone who appears after comparing the performance (results) of the product against the expected performance. From the results of this study, it is clear that the variables price and sales promotion significantly affect customer satisfaction, as well as service quality, which is the mediating variable in this study. Service quality indirectly or partially mediate the effect of price on customer satisfaction.

Dodi Setiawan RIATMAJA,Mohammad SUYANTO,Muafi MUAFI,Wisnu PRAJOGO 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.6

This research aims to examine and analyze the positive effects of game dynamics towards intrinsic motivation and enjoyment, the positive effect of intrinsic motivation towards enjoyment and work engagement, the effect of positive enjoyment towards work engagement, as well as the positive effect of game dynamics towards work engagement. This research uses Self Determination Theory and gamification strategy to explain the relationship between variables. The data was collected from 226 permanent employees of Startup companies located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia through questionnaire distribution. The obtained data was analyzed using the AMOS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model. The assessment of this questionnaire uses 5-point Likert scale. The results show that game dynamics has a positive effect towards intrinsic motivation as opposed to enjoyment, intrinsic motivation has a positive effect towards enjoyment as opposed to work engagement, and finally, enjoyment and game dynamics have a positive effect towards work engagement. The theoretical implication is that this research fills the research gaps regarding the antecedents and consequences of Self-Determination Theory. Finally, this research proposes several solutions to relevant problems on how companies and organizations need to implement game dynamics to positively affect employees’ behavior, especially from intrinsic motivation, work engagement, as well as enjoyment.

Insecticidal Activity of Ethyl Acetate Extracts from Culture Filtrates of Mangrove Fungal Endophytes

        Abraham, Silva,Basukriadi, Adi,Pawiroharsono, Suyanto,Sjamsuridzal, Wellyzar The Korean Society of Mycology 2015 Mycobiology Vol.43 No.2

In the search for novel potent fungi-derived bioactive compounds for bioinsecticide applications, crude ethyl acetate culture filtrate extracts from 110 mangrove fungal endophytes were screened for their toxicity. Toxicity tests of all extracts against brine shrimp (Artemia salina) larvae were performed. The extracts with the highest toxicity were further examined for insecticidal activity against Spodoptera litura larvae and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition activity. The results showed that the extracts of five isolates exhibited the highest toxicity to brine shrimp at 50% lethal concentration ($LC_{50}$) values of 7.45 to 10.24 ppm. These five fungal isolates that obtained from Rhizophora mucronata were identified based on sequence data analysis of the internal transcribed spacer region of rDNA as Aspergillus oryzae (strain BPPTCC 6036), Emericella nidulans (strains BPPTCC 6035 and BPPTCC 6038), A. tamarii (strain BPPTCC 6037), and A. versicolor (strain BPPTCC 6039). The mean percentage of S. litura larval mortality following topical application of the five extracts ranged from 16.7% to 43.3%. In the AChE inhibition assay, the inhibition rates of the five extracts ranged from 40.7% to 48.9%, while eserine (positive control) had an inhibition rate of 96.8%, at a concentration of 100 ppm. The extracts used were crude extracts, so their potential as sources of AChE inhibition compounds makes them likely candidates as neurotoxins. The high-performance liquid chromatography profiles of the five extracts differed, indicating variations in their chemical constituents. This study highlights the potential of culture filtrate ethyl acetate extracts of mangrove fungal endophytes as a source of new potential bioactive compounds for bioinsecticide applications.
