Our aim is to study the properties of Fischer-Marsden conjecture and Ricci-Bourguignon solitons within the framework of generalized Sasakian-space-forms with $\beta$-Kenmotsu structure. It is proven that a $(2n+1)$-dimensional generalized Sasakian-space-form with $\beta$-Kenmotsu structure satisfying the Fischer-Marsden equation is a conformal gradient soliton. Also, it is shown that a generalized Sasakian-space-form with $\beta$-Kenmotsu structure admitting a gradient Ricci-Bourguignon soliton is either $\Psi \backslash T^{k} \times M^{2n+1-k}$ or gradient $\eta$-Yamabe soliton.

Chaubey, Sudhakar Kumar,Shaikh, Absos Ali Korean Mathematical Society 2019 대한수학회논문집 Vol.34 No.1
The aim of the present paper is to study the Eisenhart problems of finding the properties of second order parallel tensors (symmetric and skew-symmetric) on a 3-dimensional LCS-manifold. We also investigate the properties of Ricci solitons, Ricci semisymmetric, locally ${\phi}$-symmetric, ${\eta}$-parallel Ricci tensor and a non-null concircular vector field on $(LCS)_3$-manifolds.

ObjectiveaaNon-motor symptoms (NMSs) significantly contribute to increased morbidity and poor quality of life in patients withparkinsonian disorders. This study aims to explore the profile of NMSs in patients with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) usingthe validated Non-Motor Symptom Scale (NMSS). MethodsaaSeventy-six patients with PSP were evaluated in this study. Motor symptoms and NMSs were evaluated using the PSPRating Scale (PSPRS), Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale-III, Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Hamilton Depression (HAMD)and Anxiety Rating Scales, Parkinson’s Disease Sleep Scale (PDSS) and NMSS. NMS severity and prevalence were also comparedbetween patients with PSP-Richardson syndrome (PSP-RS) and those with PSP-parkinsonism. ResultsaaAll subjects in this cohort reported at least 2 NMSs. The most prevalent NMSs in patients with PSP were in the domainsof sleep/fatigue, mood/cognition, and sexual function. The least prevalent NMSs were in the domains of cardiovascular includingfalls, and perceptual problems/hallucinations. Significant correlations were observed between the NMSS scores and HAM-D,PDSS, PSPRS scores and PSPRS sub-scores. The severity of NMSs was unrelated to the duration of illness. Patients with PSP-RSreported a higher severity of drooling, altered smell/taste, depression and altered interest in sex and a higher prevalence of sexualdysfunction. ConclusionaaNMSs are commonly observed in patients with PSP, and the domains of sleep, mood and sexual function aremost commonly affected. These symptoms contribute significantly to disease morbidity, and clinicians should pay adequate attentionto identifying and addressing these symptoms.
CERTAIN RESULTS ON SUBMANIFOLDS OF GENERALIZED SASAKIAN SPACE-FORMS
( Sunil Kumar Yadav ),( Sudhakar K Chaubey ) 호남수학회 2020 호남수학학술지 Vol.42 No.1
The object of the present paper is to study certain geometrical properties of the submanifolds of generalized Sasakian space-forms. We deduce some results related to the invariant and anti-invariant slant submanifolds of the generalized Sasakian space-forms. Finally, we study the properties of the sectional curvature, totally geodesic and umbilical submanifolds of the generalized Sasakian space-forms. To prove the existence of almost semiinvariant and anti-invariant submanifolds, we provide the non-trivial examples.

This paper presents a novel approach based on the loci of instantaneous symmetrical components called “"Wing Shape”" which requires the measurement of three input stator currents and voltages to diagnose interturn insulation faults in three phase induction motors operating under different loading conditions. In this methodology, the effect of unbalanced supply conditions, constructional imbalances and measurement errors are also investigated. The sizes of the wings determine the loading on the motor and the travel of the wings while their areas determine the degree of severity of the faults. This approach is also applied to detect open circuit faults or single phasing conditions in induction motors. In order to validate this method, experimental results are presented for a 5 hp squirrel cage induction motor. The proposed technique helps improve the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the motor system and industrial plant. It also allows maintenance to be performed in a more efficient manner, since the course of action can be determined based on the type and severity of the fault.

Background Polytrauma from road accidents is a common cause of hospital admissions and deaths, frequently leading to acute kidney injury (AKI) and impacting patient outcomes. Methods This retrospective, single-center study included polytrauma victims with an Injury Severity Score (ISS) >25 at a tertiary healthcare center in Dubai. Results The incidence of AKI in polytrauma victims is 30.5%, associated with higher Carlson comorbidity index (P=0.021) and ISS (P=0.001). Logistic regression shows a significant relationship between ISS and AKI (odds ratio [OR], 1.191; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.150–1.233; P<0.05). The main causes of trauma-induced AKI are hemorrhagic shock (P=0.001), need for massive transfusion (P<0.001), rhabdomyolysis (P=0.001), and abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS; P<0.001). On multivariate logistic regression AKI can be predicated by higher ISS (OR, 1.08; 95% CI, 1.00–1.17; P=0.05) and low mixed venous oxygen saturation (OR, 1.13; 95% CI, 1.05–1.22; P<0.001). The development of AKI after polytrauma increases length of stay (LOS)-hospital (P=0.006), LOS-intensive care unit (ICU; P=0.003), need for mechanical ventilation (MV) (P<0.001), ventilator days (P=0.001), and mortality (P<0.001). Conclusions After polytrauma, the occurrence of AKI leads to prolonged hospital and ICU stays, increased need for mechanical ventilation, more ventilator days, and a higher mortality rate. AKI could significantly impact their prognosis.

The effect of reinforcement strategy on graphene nanoparticles distribution in terms of metallurgical and mechanicalproperties of Incoloy 925 alloy friction stir welding was investigated. The friction stir welding was performed at differentwelding speeds (20-100 mm/min) and tool rotational speeds (300-500 rpm) using a tapered pin tool. The defect-free welds wereobtained at a tool rotational speed of 400 rpm, and welding speeds of 20 mm/min, 30 mm/min, and 40 mm/min, respectively. The cross-sectional microstructure of the weld joints was characterized by SEM and EDX and revealed that graphene particleswere evenly distributed inside the nugget zone. Results achieved through Raman spectrometry analysis confirmed the presenceof graphene. Because graphene was distributed consistently across the nugget zone, the microhardness of the material hasgrown to around 320 HV. In comparison to the base metal, the microhardness of the graphene-reinforced Incoloy 925 stir zonewas found to be 51 percent higher. Compared to the base metal, the friction stir weld joints exhibited a high joint efficiency(ranging from 90% to 97.5%).

In this study, the nanostructured parent KTaTeO6(KTTO) and Ag-doped KTaTeO6(ATTO) catalysts with defect pyrochlorestructure were prepared by solid-state and ion-exchange methods, respectively. The synthesized materials were characterizedby various techniques to determine their chemical composition, morphology and microstructural features. The XRD studiesshow that both KTTO and ATTO have cubic structure (space group Fd3m) with high crystallinity. The doping of Ag alteredthe BET surface area of parent KTTO. The nano nature of the samples was studied by TEM images. A considerable redshiftin the absorption edge is observed for ATTO compared to KTTO. Incorporation of Ag+in the KTTO lattice is clearlyidentified from EDX, elemental mapping and XPS results. Degradation of methyl violet and solar water splitting reactionswere used to access the photocatalytic activity of KTTO and ATTO. The results obtained suggest that compared to KTTO,the ATTO showed higher photocatalytic activity in both cases. The favourable properties such as high surface area, moresurface hydroxyl groups, stronger light absorption in visible region and narrower band gap energy were supposed to be thereasons for the high activity observed in ATTO.
