분산중합을 이용한 Poly(MMA-co-2-HEMA)의 고 고분자량의 합성 및 특성 연구

Poly[methyl methacrylate(MMA)-co-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(2-HEMA)] particles were synthesized by dispersion polymerization in a cyclic hydrocarbon medium. The reactions were carried out at 72~80℃ in the presence of SIS block copolymer and t-butyl peroxy-2-ethyl hexanoate, as steric stabilizer and initiator, respectively. The used cyclic hydrocarbon medium were cyclohexane and methyl cyclohexane. The resulting poly(MMA/2-HEMA) latexes were found to be monodisperse particle diameter of 2~3㎛. Dispersion polymerization of poly(MMA/2-HEMA) were carried out to investigate the effect of concentration of initiator. The molecular weight of poly(MMA/2-HEMA) in presence of methyl cyclohexane than cyclohexane was increased.

In a capacitor-discharge impulse magnetizer, a magnet is magnetized by the discharging current of capacitors. The conventional design of the magnetizer has been based on many year's experience. The behaviour of flux in the magnetizer should be calculated in order to produce the desired magnets. The analysis of the flux distribution in quite difficult. This is because both the magnetizing current and the applied voltage to the magnetizer are unknown. This paper describes the development of a computer model for a circuit of capacitor-discharge impulse magnetizer using SPICE. Also, the detailed distribution of the flux density in two applied type magnet magnetized by the impulse magnetizer be analyed.
VCR用 DD캡스턴 모터의 特性 改善을 위한 設計製作 硏究

The DD capstan motor for VCR must be designed fast and adaptively as a small, light and slim type and have the high accuracy of control characteristic because the life cycle of its applying machinery has become shorter and it requires high accuracy of control characteristic. In this study, the design theory of the electric and magnetic parts for DD captan motor for VCR is systematized. Also the design theory and manufacturing method of MR sensor device as a speed detector is presented to enhance the accuracy of speed control, and the flux density of permanent magnet is made uniformly so as to magnetize the super multi-poles and as that result the FG with a high output and high accuracy can be designed and manufactured, which has 0.2% maximum fluctuation of the frequency and -60 dB minimum ratio of S/N. Applying these results to the design of DD capstan motor for VCR, the excellency of this can be proved.

The exact preoperative diagnosis in the cerebellar midline tumor is crucial to design the operative plan such as the extent of tumor resection, preservation of critical structures, and need to be shunt. We experienced a cystic tumor on the middle cerebellum, which were suspected as usual radiologic diagnoses but were revealed as rare entities in the pathology. A 40 year-old woman suffered from lasting headache and ataxia. In the radiologic finding, it was a huge cystic mass with a mural nodule. We took into consideration cerebellar tumor such as dermoid cyst, hemangioblatoma, or cystic astrocytoma. The pathologic diagnosis was the mature teratoma. We report a case of mature teratoma occured in the midline cerebellum and review it with pertinent literatures.

The thoracic spine is rigidly stabilized by the ribs, anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments, and a sagittal orientation of the facet joints that resists axial rotation and horizontal translation. Thus, a significant force is required to cause a fracture and dislocation in the thoracic spine. A 32-year-old man was involved in a motor-vehicle accident and presented with complete paraplegia and spondyloptosis on the 8th thoracic vertebral segment. He also suffered with hypoxia and hypovolemic shock. Posterior reduction and fixation with pedicle screw was achieved with the anatomic alignment and rigid stability. This posterior technique for thoracic spondyloptosis is believed to be sufficient to make good alignment and solid fixation.

Spontaneous intracranial hemorrage is rare in the childhood, which is usually caused by vascular anomalies, blood dyscrasia and trauma. A 15-year-old child presented with sudden headache while he was studying. The fretures of radiologic images suggested the cerebellar hematoma caused by the underlying lesion such as vascular malformation or cavernous hemangioma. The operation finding revealed that the hematoma was caused by a tumor, which adhered to the superior medullary velum of cerebellum. The pathology revealed it to be hemorrhagic pilocytic astrocytoma. The hemorrhagic pilocytic astrocytoma should be considered in the diagnosis of the lesion in cerebellar hematoma.

Optic tweezer is powerful tool to investigate biologic cells. Of eukaryotic cells, it was poorly documented regarding to optic trapping to manipulate yeasts. In preliminary experiment to explore yeast biology, interferometric optical tweezers was exploited to trap and manipulate budding yeasts. Successfully, several budding yeasts are trapped simultaneously. We found that the budding direction of the daughter cell was almost outward and the daughter cell surrounded by other yeasts grows slowly or fail to grow. Thus it was assumed that neighboring cells around budding yeast may be critical in budding and the growth of daughter cells. This is first report pertaining to the pattern of yeast budding under the optical trap when multiple yeasts were trapped.

The authors introduce a autologous bone salvaging technique, that is utilizing bony spur and anterior lower part of upper vertebra as a bone donor site for anterior cervical interbody fusion without exploring the distant donor site. The bone chip taken from the anterior lower part of upper vertebra and bony spur could be filled into hallowed graft material. This simple thchnique is safe and effective to enhances bony fusion rates without distant bone harvesting.
