Improved Maximum Correntropy Unscented Kalman Filter for Spacecraft Attitude Estimation

        Shuai Chu,Huaming Qian,Peng Ding 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.6

In this article, an improved maximum correntropy unscented Kalman filter (IMCUKF) is proposed for the problem of mutation and non-Gaussian noise in the spacecraft attitude estimation system. The IMCUKF proposed in this paper transforms the above problem into a nonlinear regression problem, which is achieved by establishing a robust filter based on the maximum correntropy criterion and adaptively adjusting the prior covariance using an adaptive fading factor. In particular, the IMCUKF uses the Cauchy kernel function instead of the Gaussian kernel function to solve the problem that the maximum correntropy Kalman filter is easy to collapse due to the emergence of singular matrices. In addition, this paper applies the additive quaternion property to derive the Kalman filter gain to satisfy the constraint of quaternion normalization. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm as compared with the existing filtering algorithm with the measurement outliers, state mutations, and non-Gaussian noises.

A dynamic human reliability assessment approach for manned submersibles using PMV-CREAM

        Shuai Zhang,Weiping He,Dengkai Chen,Jianjie Chu,Hao Fan 대한조선학회 2019 International Journal of Naval Architecture and Oc Vol.11 No.2

Safety is always acritical focus of exploration of ocean resources, and it is well recognized that human factor is one of the major causes of accidents and breakdowns. Our research developed a dynamic human reliability assessment approach, Predicted Mean Vote-Cognitive Reliability and Error Analysis Method (PMV-CREAM), that is applicable to monitoring the cognitive reliability of oceanauts during deep-sea missions. Taking into account the difficult and variable operating environment of manned submersibles, this paper analyzed the cognitive actions of oceanauts during the various procedures required by deep-sea missions, and calculated the PMV index using human factors and dynamic environmental data. The Cognitive Failure Probabilities (CFP) were calculated using the extended CREAM approach. Finally, the CFP were corrected using the PMV index. This PMV-CREAM hybrid model can be utilized to avoid human error in deep-sea research, thereby preventing injury and loss of life during undersea work. This paper verified the method with “Jiaolong” manned submersible 7,000m dive test. The“Jiaolong” oceanauts CR(Corrected CFP) is dynamic from 3.0615E-3 to 4.2948E-3, the CR caused by the environment is 1.2333E-3. The result shown the PMV-CREAM method could describe the dynamic human reliability of manned submersible caused by thermal environment.

Struggle refers to the process of overcoming various difficulties for a goal. The spirit of struggle is a positive attitude and reaction reflected in the process of struggle. Cultivating the spirit of struggle of college students is the call of the new era. In essence, the cultivation of the spirit of struggle is a process of learning, which is in line with Bandura's Observation Learning Theory(Bandura, 1977):Attention, Maintenance, Reproduction and Motivation. The cultivation of College Students' spirit of struggle in the new era is also a learning process of enriched experience. It is necessary to cultivate the spirit of struggle into the soul of college students and make it become a habit of students. Moreover, it is crucial to carry out adaptive transformation of Bandura's observation learning theory. By studying the mechanism of the spirit of struggle of college students, taking innovation and entrepreneurship education as a means, and aiming at cultivating the connotation of President Xi's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, this paper constructs the AIST model for cultivating the spirit of struggle of college students in the new era. This model includes online learning acceptance platform(Acceptance), classroom experience stimulation platform(Inspiration), iterative training solidified platform (Solidification), and competition practice transfer platform(Transfer). The purpose of this model is to provide a practical way for universities to fulfill the fundamental task of moral education and cultivate qualified socialist builders and successors. The number of students using the online learning acceptance platform ranked the first among that of the similar courses in China; The classroom experience stimulation platform and the iterative training solidified platform support each other, with an effective rate of 97%; The competition practice transfer platform has realized the continuous growth of the number of awards won in competitions for three years. The direction of future efforts is to establish the external mechanism of the spirit of struggle, to ensure the effectiveness of classroom experience and iterative training, to cultivate teachers with coaching skills, and to accurately measure the transformation point of external and endogenous motivation.
