        Objectives : Lumbar radiculopathy is a common disease in oriental rehabilitation medicine. It can be diagnosed by physical examination, plain X-ray, Myelography, CT, MRI, EMG etc. But those methods are not useful in observing the clinical procedure. Objectvie evaluating the clinical procedure is very important in treatment of lumbar radiculopathy. Mehthods : We studied the clinical efficacy of thermography in lumbar radiculopathy during conservative managements. We studied 36 patients with lumbar radiculopathy convinced by MRI. The had low back pain and radiating pain on one side. Thermography had taken before an after 4 weeks treatments, and compared with clinical procedure Results and conclusions : Thermography is not pertinent as a primary diagnostic method in lumbar radiculopathy, but useful in observing the clinical procedure. And it can be recommended as a objective evaluation for lumbar radiculopathy.

        다구치법에 의한 고 규소 내산주철의 용해주조공정 최적화

        In this study, Taguchi method, one of the design tools of experiments, was applied to optimize casting process parameters of the high silicon corrosion-resistant iron. Three casting process parameters such as melting temperature, rare earth metal (mischmetal) addition, and pouring temperature were chosen. Using SN (signal-to-noise) ratio calculated from ultimate tensile strength of each experimental casting run, the relationship between the casting parameters and mechanical properties was statistically evaluated. The casting condition of a melting temperature of 1,650℃, 0.2% rare earth metal addition, and a pouring temperature of 1,350℃ led to an excellent ultimate tensile strength above 11 kgf/mm², which is beyond the industrial criterion. The effects of the casting parameters on mechanical properties and corrosion resistance were further confirmed by combined analysis of fractography, hydrogen content determination, microscopic test, and acid resistance test.       • 성인 남자의 식습관과 혈중 지질 농도에 관한 연구

        This paper was carried out to study on the food & daily habit score and lipid contents in serum of adult man as basal research for research on the effects of food & daily habits on the lipid contents in serum of adult man. The number of normal, dangerous leval and hypercholesterolemia was each 133(60.5%), 62(28.2%) and 25(11.3%) of adult man. respectively. The mean age. weight. Broca's index(RBW) and Quetelet index(BMI) was 48.4 9.5. 67.7 10.2. 109.1 14.3, 23.6 3.0. respectively. The numbers of good food habits was 5.4 percentage, but those of bad food habits was 35.5 percentage, It was appeared to bad the mode of dietary and hormony of food. The contents of trigryceride and cholesterol in serum was 115.8 and 192.4mg/dℓ, respectively. The numbers of triglyceride contents(90∼120mg/dℓ in serum was 53(24.1%) of the subjects of research, and those of triglyceride contents (150-210mg/dℓ) in serum was 133(60.5%) of the adult man.

      • DOWN 症候群兒童과 一般精神薄弱兒童間의 口腔健康狀態에 관한 비교調査硏究

        The author have surveyed 90 mentally retareded children in order to compare the oral health status of Down syndrom Group and other mentally retarded Group. Through the oral examination, collected the data of caries status, peridontal status, oral hygiene status, malocclusion status and dento-facial abnormalities status and compared each other. The obtained results are as followings: 1. df index and dft rate are comparatively higher in Down Syndrom Group than those of other mentally retarded group. 2. DMF index and DMFT rate are comparatively lower in Down Syndrome Group than those of other mentally retarded group. 3. There is no critical differance about soft deposit and oral hygiene index between Down Syndrome Group and other mentally retarded group. 4. Periodontal index in Down Syndrome Group is simillar to that of other mentally retarded group. 5. Incidencies of Class Ⅰ, Class Ⅲ, or Cross-bite of malocclusion status are high in Down Syndrome Group, but those of Class I malocclusion and open-bite are high in other mentally retarded group. 6. Incidencies of Peg Leteralis and Enamel hypoplasia are comparatively high in Down Syndrome. group. But those of dento-facial abnormalities are comparatively lower in other mentally retarded group than those of in Down Syndrome group. 7. It was recommended that more studies to promote oral health status for the mentally retarded and Down Syndrome children are needed.

        Red Number 104호를 포함한 치면세균막 착색정제의 적정 색소함량 및 저작도포시간에 관한 연구

        The authors have examined the PHP index, in order to choose the optimum concentration, calivary flow volume and chewing time for Red-Plaque tablets, one of the newly developed disclosing agent for dental plaque. 4 kinds of tablets as 0.5㎎ of Red No.104, 1.0㎎, 2.0㎎ and 5.0㎎ were produced and 30 adults volunteers were selected for clinical experiments. PHP index were checked for extracted tooth of lateral incisor with artificial plaque and dyeing with various concentration of Red-Plaque, as well as for volungeerss 'teeth. Obtained date were analysed and compared. 1. Carbohydrate and protein were contained in dental plaque. 2. 2.0㎎/250㎎ to 5.0㎎/250㎎ of Red 104 contained Red-Plaque tablets were recommended to use checking the dental plaque clinically. 3. It needed more than 1 minutes chewing for disclosing the dental plaque enough, with a 250㎎ Red-Plaque tablet. 4. It was recommended that 2㎖ to 5㎖ volume saliva were needed to dissolve a Red-Plaque tablet of 250㎎ for 1 minute's chewing.

      • 쇼트피닝 가공 최적조건 탐색을 위한 실험적 연구

        The shot peening process is most often used to improve fatigue properties of metal parts. In order to achieve optimum, repeatable and reliable fatigue enhancement from the shot peening process, the important shot peening parameters must be controlled. In this paper, the optimum shot peening condition is investigated. Rotary bending fatigue test was accomplished to investigate the effects of shot peening on the fatigue strength. Experimental results show that the fatigue strength was tremendously increased by optimum peening.

      • 弗素塗布한 齒牙에 DBS 法으로 부착한 Bracket의 탈락정도에 관한 實驗的 硏究

        The authers have experimented in order to measure the tensile strength limit of orthodontic bracket attached with DBS to tooth surface with fluoride application. 20 incisal teeth, 20 premolar and 20 molar teeth have been selected for the experiment and the half of the teeth have been applied with 2% NaF solution with electric stimulation and the rest half of the teeth have been natural. Each bracket have been attached to all experimental teeth through DBS method. And then, each experimental brackets have been removed with instron and measured the tensile strenght limit and observed removal portion. The obtained results were as followings; 1. there was no significant difference at relative tensile strength limit between natural group and fluoridated group in anterior teeth. 2. There was no significant difference at relative tensile strength limit between natural group and fluoridated group in premolar teeth. 3. There was no significant difference at relative tensile strength limit between natural group and fluoridated group in molar teeth. 4. The relative tensile strength limit was the most in premolar teeth and the least in molar teeth both in natural and fluoridated groups. 5. The method for attaching DBS bracket well to tooth surface was suggested because the removal portion of DBS brackets from the teeth were mostly at between resin and bracket surface. 6. It was recommended that fluoride application must be done to orthodontic patient with DBS bracket for preventing the dental caries.

      • 저수지 붕괴의 원인 및 피해분석 : 공실지를 중심으로

        재해가 발생하면 신속한 피해복구 대책을 수립하기 위해서는 무엇보다 먼저 재해지역에 대한 신속하고 정확한 조사가 실시되어야 한다. 본 연구는 저수지 붕괴에 따른 원인분석을 체계적으로 실시하여 특히 수해발생시 수행되어야 분석의 기준을 제시하고 자 한다. 경상북도 안동시에 위치한 공실 지는 2000년 8월 26일 호우로 인하여 8월 27일 01:00 (추정시각)에 우안 여수로에서 좌안 부분 상 약 5m, 하부 약 3m, 정도가 유실되어 농경지와 가옥의 침수피해가 발생하였다. 이 붕괴사상을 대상으로 붕괴에 따른 피해 및 원인 분석을 현장조사와 수문해석 및 토양 및 지질분석을 통하여 실시하였다. 수문해석 및 흔적조사에서도 저수지 제방의 월류의 가능성은 적으며, 지속적인 여수로와 저수지 제체 연결부로 침투가 이루어져 저수지 제체가 불안정한 상황 하에 갑작스러운 호우로 인하여 침투량이 증가하여 과잉공극수압의 증가로 인하여 파괴가 발생한 것으로 판단된다. To prepare measures for dealing with disasters, the exact investigation for disaster area have to take effect. In this study, the factors leading to reservoir break are analyzed, and set a standard analysis in carrying out reservoir break. The Kongsil reservoir located in Andong City was breaked in a localized torrential downpour at Aug. 27, 2000. As the result of the Kongsil reservoir break, submerged farm land and house occurred in the downstream area. The damage analysis caused by Kongsil reservoir break was performed through field investigation, hydrologic and geological analysis. The reservoir bank have been unstable by infiltration into joined area of spillway and reservoir embankment. Consequently, The reason of the Kongsil reservoir break is supposed that a sudden increase of infiltration into unstable embankment led to increase of excess pore pressure.

      • Push-Pull Converter에 의한 대체에너지 발전시스템에 관한 연구

        대출력범위의 DC-DC 컨버어터는 가변 저입력과 일정한 고출력 전압의 특성을 가지고 있다. 1KW push-pull 컨버어터 시스템이 실험을 위하여 제작되었다. 이 컨버어터는 25KHz의 내부 주파수를 가진 1KW의 전력을 처리한다. 이 컨버어터는 종래의 전력레벨 컨버어터에 스위칭 레귤레이터의 장점을 살린 것을 의미한다. 고주파 스위칭의 사용으로 DC-DC컨버어터의 크기와 중량을 감소시키게 되었다. 이러한 감소는 주파수가 증가함에 따라 필커값과 변압기의 크기가 감소하기 때문에 일어난다. 그러므로 저자는 고주파 변압기와 출력필터의 설계기준을 언급하였다. 마지막으로 연료전지 및 태양전지 발전시스템이 제시되었다. In this paper, a DC-DC converter for multikilowatt power level is described which has the characteristics of variable low input voltage and constant high output voltage. An 1KW push-pull converter system was constructed for experimentation. This converter processes 1KW power with an internal freqency of 25KHZ, which means to turn the merits of the switching regulator to the conventional power level converters. The use of high-frequency switching allows the DC-DC converter designer to reduce the size and weight of the DC-DC converter significantly. This reduction occurs because of filter component value and transformer size decrease with increasing frequency. Therefore, the authors in this paper the design criterion of the high frequency transformer and output filter was mentioned. Finally, applications for an inverter used in a fuel cell generation and solar cell generation system are presented.
