The Performance Evaluation of New Web Caching with Related Content using Colored Petri Net Simulation

        Sarvar Abdullaev,Franz I.S. 한국전자거래학회 2008 한국전자거래학회지 Vol.13 No.3

Web caching server is one of the important components of any web site, as it makes the access of users to web content much faster while balancing the network and server load. There are many caching approaches proposed in order to solve this problem. Classically, we know several caching algorithms like FIFO, LRU, LRU-min and etc. Most of them have their advantages and disadvantages based on specific context. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the new concept of caching objects along with their related content and test the performance of the proposed caching method using CPN Tools simulator program. It is generally known that the use of Colored Petri Nets (CPNs) for modeling the simulation of new idea is one of the popular methods of system evaluation throughout software development projects. Moreover it could be very handy in describing the overall logic of the system. The CPN Tools is one of the most robust simulator programs which supports all necessary tools and functions to build and run the simulation model for CPN. Therefore in this paper, we will use CPN Tools software in order to build a simulator for our innovative caching approach named as web caching with related content. Then we will analyze the results derived from the simulation of our model and will make corresponding conclusions.

The Effects of Docking on Growth Traits, Carcass Characteristics and Blood Biochemical Parameters of Sanjabi Fat-tailed Lambs

        Nooriyan Sarvar, E.,Moeini, M.M.,Poyanmehr, M.,Mikaeli, E. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2009 Animal Bioscience Vol.22 No.6

The effects of docking on growth traits, fattening performance, carcass characteristics and blood biochemical parameters were investigated using 24 fat-tailed Sanjabi single-born male lambs raised from a large commercial sheep herd. The lambs were randomly divided into two groups. One group (n = 12) were docked at two days of age with rubber-rings using an elastrator. The second group (n = 12) were left intact. After weaning (90 days), all lambs were moved to rustic rangelands for 40 days. Then all the lambs were fed concentrates ad libitum for 60 days during the fattening period. Growth traits, body weight and average daily gain (kg) were recorded at the end of the weaning and fattening periods. Blood biochemical parameters including urea, total protein, glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and high-density lipoproteins (HDL) were measured during the fattening period. Finally, at the end of the fattening period, eight lambs (4 intact and 4 docked lambs) were slaughtered in order to determine carcass characteristics. Fat-tail docking had no effect (p>0.05) on lamb growth from birth to weaning. Body weight and average daily gain of docked lambs were significantly higher (p<0.05) than for intact lambs at the end of the fattening period. There was no difference in carcass measurements between the two groups, except for chest depth and leg weight which were higher (p<0.05) in docked lambs. During the fattening period, cholesterol and LDL of docked lambs were less than in intact lambs (p<0.05). The current results indicated that docking with rubber rings causes an improvement in growth traits during the fattening period and leads to desirable carcass characteristics compared to intact lambs; interestingly, this procedure had a significant effect on the lowering of blood cholesterol and LDL of docked lambs.

      • Tourism Attractions of Cultural Rose and Rose Water Making Method in Kashan

        Rahim Sarvar,Mohsen Ranjbar 세계문화관광학회 2010 Conference Proceedings Vol.11 No.0

There is a territory in central part of Iran, located in the north of Isfahan province called Kashan which to credit the rose (Mohammadi) and rose water making ceremony which is held in spring from about the middle of May up to the twentieth of Jun and has been recorded in the world and has a national and world wide popularity so that during the days of it‘s held, it has about 1.5 million foreign and domestic tourists. Anomaly detection of smart metering system for power management with battery storage system/electric vehicle

        Sangkeum Lee,Sarvar Hussain Nengroo,Hojun Jin,Yoonmee Doh,Chungho Lee,Taewook Heo,Dongsoo Har Electronics and Telecommunications Research Instit 2023 ETRI Journal Vol.45 No.4

A novel smart metering technique capable of anomaly detection was proposed for real-time home power management system. Smart meter data generated in real-time were obtained from 900 households of single apartments. To detect outliers and missing values in smart meter data, a deep learning model, the autoencoder, consisting of a graph convolutional network and bidirectional long short-term memory network, was applied to the smart metering technique. Power management based on the smart metering technique was executed by multi-objective optimization in the presence of a battery storage system and an electric vehicle. The results of the power management employing the proposed smart metering technique indicate a reduction in electricity cost and amount of power supplied by the grid compared to the results of power management without anomaly detection.

      • Rejuvenating Silk Road‘s Route as a Symbol of Civilization and its Role in Sustainable Tourism

        Mohsen Ranjbar,Rahim Sarvar 세계문화관광학회 2010 Conference Proceedings Vol.11 No.0

Silk road which is formed by the complete connection road networks by making its way through Eurasia over the centuries has been seeking regulatory functions and various political, social, cultural, artistic, religious and commercial and…..Silk road route as a historical complex phenomenon has been included in almost all factors to preserve the human race. For thousands of years Silk Road has not only opened a brilliant page in global history, but has a deep effect and an active functional role in expanding relations between counties in the future. This road which has had a long experience and has been linking people, demonstrates that humans have never confined themselves in their racial fences, ethnicity and geographical locations and have endured long hard roads. This road has been the passage way for cultures, different dialects, nationalities, cultures that have had a long history on earth. Countries located in the route of silk- road, create a main cultural intersection that the richest and most extensive heritages are located. These live and historical heritages have created tourism main attractions. Reviewing connecting old patterns in Silk Road and rebuilding its historical fiber, not only guarantees its preservation and maintenance, but ensures the survival of areas traditions and prospers tourism and placed in this path will be as a symbol and enigma. Silk-road in Iran is entered as an eastern-western axis to khorasan and from that route arrive at Toos, Neishabour, sabzavar, shah rood, damghan, semnan to ray and from ray which was a big city go to ghazvin and from there was divided into two branches. From ghazvin one way to the northwest meaning to sarab, Tabriz, marand and then khoy and then departed Iran and from the other to the west meaning to Hegmataneh (Hamadan today) then to Kermanshah and then depart Iran. Today revival and rejuvenation of Silk Road only historical commemoration is left and along this road could be very interesting to tourists. Other important points that we should now is that Iran is the only country that the terrestrial and marine silk road meet at the Persian Gulf. In this article it has been tried to in addition to identifying the strengths of this important historical cultural road, solutions for its revival for the purpose of regenerating the tourism markets have been presented.
