reBalance: A Customizable Data Visualization Approach to Keeping a Balanced Health

Maintaining a good, balanced health is important but difficult. People often do not have a clear sense of what is healthy, and where to improve from. In order to help people who are failing to maintain a balanced life, we present reBalance, a health data visualization system that allows exploration of one’s own data with multiple visualization. In addition, the edit mode in reBalance assists users in defining their own definition of being healthy through choosing one’s own metrics.

어린이집 영아반 안전교육 실천에 대한 교사의 어려움 및 요구 탐색

본 연구는 어린이집에서 이루어지는 영아안전교육에 대해 교사들이 어떤 어려움과 요구를 갖는지 분석함으로써 영아에게 보다 적절하고 실효성 있는 안전교육 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 영아교사 13명에 대한 심층면담을 중심으로 하는 질적 방법으로 자료를 수집, 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 영아안전교육 지도 시 교사의 어려움은 영아기가 지닌 발달적 한계로 인한 안전교육 실천의 어려움, 실생활 안전과의 괴리감, 외부평가 대비로 인한 능동적 교수 수행의 어려움, 영아안전교육 평가 체제 미흡 등으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영아안전교육을 위한 교사 요구는 영아발달에 적합하고 다양한 수준별 프로그램 개발 및 보급, 영아전담 안전 체험시설 확충, 가정에서의 안전교육 병행 강화, 영아교사에게 특화된 교사교육 실시를 들었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 바람직한 영아안전교육의 방향 및 구체적 방안에 대해 논의를 이끌고자 하였다. The purpose of this study is to inquire into more proper, effective safety education plan for an infant by inquiring into the reality of infant safety education, which is conducted in a daycare center, and analyzing teachers-perceived hardships and request. To this end, this study collected and analyzed data through the qualitative approach with focus on in-depth interviews with 13 infant teachers, and the research results are as follows. First, a teacher’s hardships in time of guidance of infant safety education were from the developmental limit of the infancy, difficulty in developing daily safety education for infants, a conflict as a passive teacher, and insufficiency in the evaluation system of infant safety education. Second, teachers’ requests for infant safety education include supply of diverse programs suited for infant development, expansion of dedicated safety experience facility for infants, strengthening of combination with safety education at home, and implementation of specialized teacher education for infant teachers.
