Yongneup wetland protected area, the only high moor in Korea, is a core area to conserve biodiversity. Even though the Yongneup wetland protected area is relatively small, various plant species are distributed in the Yongneup wetland protected area because it includes various habitats showing different environmental gradients. Vascular plants distributed in the Yongneup wetland protected area were identified as a total of 376 taxa that is composed of 73 families, 217 genera, 322 species, 3 subspecies, 44 varieties and 7 forms. For endangered plants designated by the Ministry of Environment, 5 species including Trientalis europaea var. arctica, Lilium dauricum, Halenia corniculata, Lychnis wilfordii and Menyanthes trifoliata were found and 34 taxa were confirmed to be distributed only in the mountainous wetland habitats. Regarding naturalized plants, a total of 11 taxa were distributed, but most of them were distributed in the areas where artificial interference has occurred. And in areas inside the wetlands that are relatively well preserved, 2 species of Bidens frondosa and Erigeron annuus were observed. In this study, the occurrence and distribution of Pseudostellaria baekdusanensis M. Kim, which was recently found in Mt. Baekdu and reported as a new species, were identified in the Yongneup wetland protected area. A wetland is a very vulnerable area to drastic environmental changes and damages to its ecosystem could cause the extinction of rare plant species which are distributed only in the wetlands. Therefore, it is mandatory that current status of the Yongneup wetland protected area is evaluated and actions to prevent rapid environmental changes are taken. Fourteen separate investigations were conducted in 2013 and another four in 2014, to evaluate current status of the Yongneup wetland protected area. These investigations have provided us the basic information for future actions of conservation and restoration.

Metastasis of lung cancer to the skin is uncommon, presenting in 0.22% to 12% of lung cancer patients, and it is extremely rare for skin metastasis to be the first clinical manifestation of lung cancer. In the few cases where skin metastasis has been reported as the first sign of lung cancer, the patients were typically heavy smokers or had preexisting respiratory diseases and symptoms. This prompted clinicians to consider skin metastasis of a pulmonary malignancy. Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) is a rare type of lung cancer that accounts for approximately 3% of lung cancers. LCNEC mainly metastasizes to visceral organs, such as the liver, bone, and brain, and it only shows metastasis to the skin in very rare cases. Herein, we report an unusual case of a metastatic skin lesion as the first sign of primary pulmonary LCNEC, in a 63-year-old woman with no pulmonary symptoms or personal history of smoking or pulmonary disease.

<P>Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia; however, at the present time there is no disease-modifying drug for AD. There is increasing evidence supporting the role of lipid changes in the process of normal cognitive aging and in the etiology of age-related neurodegenerative diseases. AD is characterized by the presence of intraneuronal protein clusters and extracellular aggregates of beta-amyloid (A beta). Disrupted A beta kinetics may activate intracellular signaling pathways, including tau hyperphosphorylation and proinflammatory pathways. We analyzed and visualized the lipid profiles of mouse brains using MALDI-TOF MS. Direct tissue analysis by MALDI-TOF imaging MS (IMS) can determine the relative abundance and spatial distribution of specific lipids in different tissues. We used 5XFAD mice that almost exclusively generate and rapidly accumulate massive cerebral levels of A beta-42 (1). Our data showed changes in lipid distribution in the mouse frontal cortex, hippocampus, and subiculum, where A beta plaques are first generated in AD. Our results suggest that MALDI-IMS is a powerful tool for analyzing the distribution of various phospholipids and that this application might provide novel insight into the prediction of disease.</P>
The Influence of Calling and Subjective Well-Being on Turnover Intention of Air Force Pilots

공군 조종사의 대량 이직은 공군의 전반적인 작전 수행 능력과 사기에 영향을 미치는 국가적 문제라 할 수 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 국가 차원의 여러 대책이 실행되고 있지만, 여전히 많은 숙련급 조종사들이 민간 항공사로 이직하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공군 조종사 개인의 긍정 심리학적 요인에 주목하여, 공군 조종사의 소명의식과 주관적 안녕이 이직의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 공군 조종사 239명의 응답 자료를 분석한 결과, 공군 조종사의 소명의식이 높을수록 주관적 안녕이 증가하고 이직의도는 감소하였다. 이 때 소명의식과 이직의도의 관계에서 주관적 안녕의 부분매개 효과가 확인된 바, 공군 조종사의 소명의식은 이직의도에 직접적인 영향을 미칠뿐만 아니라, 주관적 안녕을 통해 이직의도의 감소에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 공군조종사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 긍정심리학적 개념인 소명의식과 행복을 상정하여 입증했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 한계 및 후속 연구를 제언을 논의하였다. The mass turnover of air force pilots is the national problem that has a negative influence on the operational ability and the morale of air force. Although various policies have been executed in Korea, many skilled pilots tend to move to commercial airlines. Focusing on positive psychological factors, this study examined the influence of calling and subjective well-being on turnover intention of air force pilots using the data collected from 239 pilots. We found that calling among air force pilots was positively associated with their subjective well-being but negatively associated with their turnover intention. The relationship between calling and turnover intention was partially mediated by subjective well-being. This finding suggested that calling had a direct effect on turnover intention but an indirect effect on turnover intention through subjective well-being. Finally, we discussed the implications and limitations of the present study along with suggestions for further research.

In this study, morphology of perithecia, asci, ascospores, etc. of C. sphecocephala were examined for its telemorphic characteristics. Its colony grew up to 32 mm in diameter on potato dextrose agar (PDA) for 30 days under the condition of 24 ± 1°C. PDBLA and PDBAA media were selected as optimal media for C. sphecocephala, on which the growth was 1.5 times as fast as on PDA medium. Moreover, PDBLA medium induced successfully the synnemata of anamorphic state. C. sphecocephala was able to be proliferated in vitro on both larva and adult of honeybee drone as its substrate. After inoculated onto the drone larva, it produced mycelium at 24±1°C, with the maximum yield up to 67 ± 3 mg on the 50th day.
Synnemata Production by Isaria tenuipes using Colored Cocoon Silkworm, Golden Silk

This study was conducted to test the use of colored cocoon silkworm, Golden Silk, as a host for the fruiting body production of Cordyceps mushroom. Golden Silk variety had a shorter larval period than Yangwonjam at $25.3^{\circ}C$ and 78.5% RH: The average larval period of the Golden Silk was 24 days and 7 hr, and that of the Yangwonjam was 24 days and 15 hr. In the infection test of I. tenuipes on silkworm, the larval period of normal silkworms was longer than the silkworms inoculated with I. tenuipes in both Golden Silk and Yangwonjam. The pupae survival percentage of Golden Silk was 94.4%, whereas it was 91.9% in Yangwonjam. Golden Silk had a higher pupation rate than Yangwonjam. The pupation rate of normal silkworms was about 5% higher than that of silkworms inoculated with I. tenuipes. Infection rate of I. tenuipes into larvae of 5th instar newly exuviated silkworm was 93.8% in Golden Silk, and 96.9% in Yangwonjam. Synnemata production of I. tenuipes was better in Yangwonjam with an incidence rate of 99.8% than Golden Silk with 98.6%. The average synnemata weight of Golden Silk was 1.12 g and that of Yangwonjam 1.29 g. Golden Silk had a lower synnemata weight than Yangwonjam. But no significant difference was observed in synnemata weight varieties. The synnemata of I. tenuipes produced on pupae were white or milky-white in color, and similar in shape and color to wild synnemata collected in Korea.

Wegener`s granulomatosis is a distinct form of necrotizing granulomatous vasculitis which usually affects the kidneys and the upper and lower respiratory tracts. Unusual manifestations have also been reported, and these include colitis, urethritis and diab
