LATERAL STABILITY CONTROL OF FULLY ELECTRIC VEHICLES

        M. T. EM RLER,K. KAHRAMAN,M. ENTÜRK,O. U. ACAR,B. AKSUN GÜVENÇ,L. GÜVENÇ,B. EFEND O LU 한국자동차공학회 2015 International journal of automotive technology Vol.16 No.2

The problem of vehicle lateral stability control for fully electric vehicles is addressed in this paper using two different approaches. One of them is a novel integrated lateral stability control (ILSC) system and the second one is a regenerative braking based lateral stability control system (RB-LSC). The proposed ILSC system is based on corrective yaw moment calculation, braking torque distribution and electric motor torque reduction. The proposed second method – RB-LSC - is a simpler method than the ILSC system. In this method, electric motor torque is regulated according to the vehicle side slip error and/or the vehicle yaw rate error. The performances of the proposed methods are evaluated under severe road conditions and extreme maneuvers using the commercially available CarSim vehicle dynamics software. The results show that the proposed control systems improve vehicle lateral stability significantly.

Are Mannan-binding Lectine Serin Protease-2 and Alpha-1-microglobulin and Bukinin Precursor the Potential Biomarkers of Manic Episode? A Study via Urinary Proetomic Analysis

        Cem Cerit,Mehmet Sarıhan,Ö,mer Nart,Murat Kasap,Hilmi Yaş,ar,Gü,rler Akpınar 대한정신약물학회 2021 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.19 No.2

Objective: Investigating the molecular basis of bipolar disorder (BD) is crucial in terms of developing effective treatment strategies as well as objective laboratory-based diagnostic tools for the disease. Methods: We examined the urine samples of BD patients both in manic episode and after remission and compared their urinary protein profiles with the controls. Twelve patients and twelve controls (C group) included to the study. Urinary samples of patients were first collected during manic episode (M group) and then after remission (R group). Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) coupled to MALDI-TOF/TOF massspectrometry approach and Western blot analysis were used. Results: Alpha-1-microglobulin and bukinin precursor (AMBP), Mannan-binding lectine serin protease-2 (MASP-2), and Ig gamma-1-chain displayed significant increases in their abundance in the urine protein pool of M group in comparison to the C and R groups. Alpha-1B glycoprotein and prostaglandin-H2 D-isomerase (PGD2) levels were significantly higher in the urine protein pool of the M and R groups in comparison to the C group. Annexin A1 was downregulated sig-nificantly in the urine protein pool of the M group in comparison to the C group. Conclusion: Intensities of MASP-2 and AMBP proteins discriminated manic episode from remission period and healthy controls indicating that these proteins may be candidate biomarkers for manic episode. The decrease in Annexin A1 and increase in Ig gamma-1 chain levels appeared to be associated with “Manic Episode” while the increase in PGD2 and alpha-1B glycoprotein levels appeared to be associated with “Bipolar Disorder”.

Sealing capability and marginal fit of titanium versus zirconia abutments with different connection designs

Nazmiye Sen,Ibrahim Bülent Sermet,Nezahat Gürler 대한치과보철학회 2019 The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics Vol.11 No.2

PURPOSE. Limited data is available regarding the differences for possible microleakage problems and fitting accuracy of zirconia versus titanium abutments with various connection designs. The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate the effect of connection design and abutment material on the sealing capability and fitting accuracy of abutments. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A total of 42 abutments with different connection designs [internal conical (IC), internal tri-channel (IT), and external hexagonal (EH)] and abutment materials [titanium (Ti) and zirconia (Zr)] were evaluated. The inner parts of implants were inoculated with 0.7 μL of polymicrobial culture (P. gingivalis, T. forsythia, T. denticola and F. nucleatum) and connected with their respective abutments under sterile conditions. The penetration of bacteria into the surrounding media was assessed by the visual evaluation of turbidity at each time point and the number of colony forming units (CFUs) was counted. The marginal gap at the implant- abutment interface (IAI) was measured by scanning electron microscope. The data sets were statistically analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis followed by Mann-Whitney U tests with the Bonferroni-Holm correction (α=.05). RESULTS. Statistically significant difference was found among the groups based on the results of leaked colonies (P<.05). The EH-Ti group characterized by an external hexagonal connection were less resistant to bacterial leakage than the groups EH-Zr, IT-Zr, IT-Ti, IC-Zr, and IC-Ti (P<.05). The marginal misfit (in μm) of the groups were in the range of 2.7-4.0 (IC-Zr), 1.8-5.3 (IC-Ti), 6.5-17.1 (IT-Zr), 5.4-12.0 (IT-Ti), 16.8-22.7 (EH-Zr), and 10.3-15.4 (EH-Ti). CONCLUSION. The sealing capability and marginal fit of abutments were affected by the type of abutment material and connection design.
