The present study is aimed to show the role played by impact parameter on the peak production of intermediate mass fragments (IMFs) in heavy-ion collisions. The study is conducted for both mass symmetric and mass asymmetric colliding nuclei. Here, the reactions are simulated using a Monte-Carlo based computer program developed utilizing the dynamical equations. Our present analysis shows that the impact parameter influences the reaction results on peak IMF production more drastically for mass asymmetric reactions than mass symmetric reactions.
Role of spatial correlations on the onset of nuclear vaporization in {}^{16}O+{}^{80}Br reaction

We study the onset of nuclear vaporiza- tion in the reactions of 16O+80Br within the frame- work of QuantumMolecular Dynamics (QMD) model. The clusterization algorithmMinimum Spanning Tree (MST) is used to identify the fragment structures. The mean charge in each event is correlated and plotted against incident energy of the projectile to find out the energy of the onset of vaporization. We find QMD+MST is able to reproduce the ex- perimental results of the average charge per event qualitatively at all incident energies, whereas quan- titative behavior can be reproduced only above 50 MeV/nucleon energy. We also varied the spatial dis- tance constraint in MST method to see its effect on the onset of vaporization.
