        Finite-time Dynamic Surface Fault-tolerant Control for Hypersonic Vehicle with Mismatched Disturbances

        This paper studies the tracking control problem of hypersonic vehicle in the process of external disturbance, parameters uncertainties and actuator faults. Firstly, a non-triangular velocity and altitude nonlinear subsystem with mismatched disturbances and actuator faults are established based on the feedback linearization model. Secondly, adaptive dynamic surface fault-tolerant controllers are designed for velocity and altitude subsystems by combining nonlinear filter, adaptive control and back-stepping method. Finally, the Lyapunov stability theory and numercial simulation are carried out to verify the availability of the proposed control strategy.

        Control of Electrically Excited Synchronous Motors with a Low Switching Frequency

        The switching frequency of the power electronic devices used in large synchronous motor drives is usually kept low (less than 1 kHz) to reduce the switching losses and to improve the converter power capability. However, this results in a couple of problems, e.g. an increase in the harmonic components of the stator current, and an undesired cross-coupling between the magnetization current component (im) and the torque component (it). In this paper, a novel complex matrix model of electrically excited synchronous motors (EESM) was established with a new control scheme for coping with the low switching frequency issues. First, a hybrid observer was proposed to identify the instantaneous fundamental component of the stator current, which results in an obvious reduction of both the total harmonic distortion (THD) and the low order harmonics. Then, a novel complex current controller was designed to realize the decoupling between im and it. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of this novel control system for EESM drives.

        Rotor Initial Position Estimation Based on sDFT for Electrically Excited Synchronous Motors

        Rotor initial position is an important factor affecting the control performance of electrically excited synchronous motors. This study presents a novel method for estimating rotor initial position based on sliding discrete Fourier transform (sDFT). By injecting an ac excitation into the rotor winding, an induced voltage is generated in stator windings. Through this voltage, the stator flux can be obtained using a pure integral voltage model. Considering the influence from a dc bias and an integral initial value, we adopt the sDFT to extract the fundamental flux component. A quadrant identification model is designed to realize the accurate estimation of the rotor initial position. The sDFT and high-pass filter, DFT, are compared in detail, and the contrast between dc excitation and ac injection is determined. Simulation and experimental results verify that this type of novel method can eliminate the influence of dc bias and other adverse factors, as well as provide a basis for the control of motor drives.

        SMYD3-associated pathway is involved in the anti-tumor effects of sulforaphane on gastric carcinoma cells

        Sulforaphane (SFN), a natural compound derived from cruciferous vegetables, has been proved to possess potent anti-cancer activity. SMYD3 is a histone methyltransferase which is closely related to the proliferation and migration of cancer cells. This study showed that SFN could dose-dependently induce cell cycle arrest, stimulate apoptosis, and inhibit proliferation and migration of gastric carcinoma cells. Accompanied with these anticancer effects, SMYD3 and its downstream genes, myosin regulatory light chain 9, and cysteine-rich angiogenic inducer 61, was downregulated by SFN. Furthermore, overexpression of SMYD3 via transfection could abolish the effects of SFN, suggesting that SMYD3 might be an important mediator of SFN. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report describing the role of SMYD3 in the anti-cancer of SFN. These findings might throw light on the development of novel anti-cancer drugs and functional food using SFN-rich cruciferous vegetables.

        고정희와 최승자 시에 나타난 모성성

        본고는 한국의 80년대 여류시인 고정희와 최승자의 여성주의 시에 나타난 모성성을 고찰하였다. 모성성은 여성을 어머니라는 이름으로 임신과 출산, 수유, 양육에 제한하고자 하는 가부장제의 지배 이데올로기로 작용해 왔기 때문이다. 고정희는 가부장제 아래서 도구적 존재로 전락한 여성의 자궁이 지닌 생명성에 주목하여 어머니가 생명의 근본, 인간 세계의 근본을 품고 있다고 해석함으로써 기존의 모성의 신화를 무너뜨린다. 그리고 ‘어머니의 혼과 정신’을 ‘해방된 인간성의 본’으로 삼고 모신(母神)으로 파악함으로써 치유와 화해의 미래를 지향한다. 고정희가 궁극적으로 지향하는 이상향은 남성 중심세계의 타파가 아니라 성별 초극의 이상향 실현이다. 그리고 그것은 모성으로서의 포용과 사랑의 실천으로 가능하다고 노래한다. 최승자 역시 어머니의 자궁이 만물의 원천이자 우주적 주체로서의 생명임을 표현한다. 또한 자신의 내면 풍경을 상징화하는 도구로서만 바라보던 자신의 몸이 생명의 모태이며 어머니의 자궁이 곧 자신의 정체성을 확인시켜 주는 우주의 근원이라는 각성에 이른다. 출산과 관련한 어머니의 자궁 이미지는 바다의 이미지와 결합되며 해방과 생명 탄생의 이미지로 ‘새’가 제시된다. 상처 받은 ‘새’의 이미지는 여성이 삶의 주체로 서고자 할 때 감내해야 할 고통의 상징이다. 최승자는 시집 『연인들』에 이르러 ‘새’의 이미지를 통해 단절과 유폐가 아니라 소통과 교감을 노래함으로써 성별 초극과 합일의 새 세상을 암시한다. This thesis aims at studying maternal characteristics of poems of Koh Junghee and Choi Seungja who were at work of feminism poems in 1980s. In their poems they suggest that the maternal characteristics have played a role as the instruments of pregnancy, childbirth, feeding and raising children in the ideology of patriarchy. Koh Junghee demolishes existing myth of basic maternal characteristics by focusing on the live characteristics of woman’s womb which have been abused as a mere instrument under the patriarchy. She regards the maternity as a origin of life, the foundation of human world and unlimited humanity. She intends to consider the maternity as Goddess, the resources of healing and reconciliation. Koh Junghee ultimately aims at the realization of Utopia without the gender discrimination in her poems. She does not intend to just demolish the patriarchy. She insists that the realization of Utopia is possible by the maternal generosity and practice of maternal love. Choi Seungja expresses mother’s womb as the universal subject as the origin of all materials. In addition. she realizes that her body, the mother’s womb is not a mere instrument of childbirth but a real resource of life. In the poems of Choi Seungja, the image of mother’s womb related to childbirth is combined with the image of sea and ‘bird’ is a symbol of pain that women suffer from trying to stand as a subject of life. In collection of her poems, 『Lovers』, through using an image of a bird, she implies the new world as the unified world of communication and communion in which the gender discrimination is overcome.

        Three new diphenylpropanes from Celastrus hindsii

        Three new diphenylpropanes, HindsiipropaneA–C (1–3), together with one known arylpropyl quinoneGriffithane D (4), were isolated from Celastrus hindsii. Their structures were established by 1D and 2D nuclearmagnetic resonance spectroscopic analysis, and massspectroscopy. Compound 4 was firstly obtained in thisgenus. All the isolated compounds were evaluated in vitrofor cytotoxicity against four human tumor cell lines (A549,HCT116, MDA-MB-231, BEL7404) by the MTT assay.

      • Knockdown of HMGN5 Expression by RNA Interference Induces Cell Cycle Arrest in Human Lung Cancer Cells

        HMGN5 is a typical member of the HMGN (high mobility group nucleosome-binding protein) family which may function as a nucleosomal binding and transcriptional activating protein. Overexpression of HMGN5 has been observed in several human tumors but its role in tumorigenesis has not been fully clarified. To investigate its significance for human lung cancer progression, we successfully constructed a shRNA expression lentiviral vector in which sense and antisense sequences targeting the human HMGN5 were linked with a 9-nucleotide loop. Inhibitory effects of siRNA on endogenous HMGN5 gene expression and protein synthesis were demonstrated via real-time RT-PCR and western blotting. We found HMGN5 silencing to significantly inhibit A549 and H1299 cell proliferation assessed by MTT, BrdU incorporation and colony formation assays. Furthermore, flow cytometry analysis showed that specific knockdown of HMGN5 slowed down the cell cycle at the G0/G1 phase and decreased the populations of A549 and H1299 cells at the S and G2/M phases. Taken together, these results suggest that HMGN5 is directly involved in regulation cell proliferation in A549 and H1299 cells by influencing signaling pathways involved in cell cycle progression. Thus, our finding suggests that targeting HMGN5 may be an effective strategy for human lung cancer treatment.

      • Golgi Phosphoprotein 2 Down-regulates the Th1 Response in Human Gastric Cancer Cells by Suppressing IL-12A

        Golgi phosphoprotein 2 (GOLPH2) is a very important biomarker in a variety of diseases. Its biological function is not clear, particularly in gastric cancer. To investigate the role of GOLPH2 in human gastric cancer, and determine its effect on the Th1 lymphocyte response, its expression and that of IL-12A were measured by real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry. The relationship between GOLPH2 and IL-12A was analysed statistically. The effect of GOLPH2 on the Th1 lymphocyte response was investigated with an in vitro co-culture system. The results showed that in human gastric cancer, the expression of GOLPH2 was significantly higher and the expression of IL-12A was lower than in normal gastric mucosal tissues, and the expression levels of GOLPH2 and IL-12A were negatively correlated. In addition, obvious down-regulation of the Th1 response was observed when lymphocytes were co-cultured with gastric cancer SGC7901 cells over-expressing GOLPH2. GOLPH2 down-regulated the expression of IL-12A, and inhibited the expression of TNF-${\alpha}$ and IFN-${\gamma}$. The results indicated that GOLPH2 down-regulates the Th1 response via suppression of IL-12A in human gastric cancer, and this might provide a target for the prevention and treatment.
