Job Performance During COVID-19 Pandemic: A Study on Indonesian Startup Companies
MUTTAQIN, Galih Fajar,TAQI, Muhammad,ARIFIN, Bustanul Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.12
This study intends to improve job performance during the Covid-19 pandemic at startup companies in Indonesia. In this study, the variables tested were job satisfaction, job innovation, Indonesian culture control, and job performance. Increasing job performance is deemed necessary in facing the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Job innovation, job satisfaction, and culture control are deemed necessary in improving job performance. The population of this study are managers of start-up companies in Jakarta, Banten, and West Java. This research data obtained by distributing questionnaires to startup managers. This is a quantitative study with primary data. The sample technique used was purposive sampling. Structural Equation Model using Partial Least Square statistical software was used to analyze data. The results of this study indicate a change in the pattern of work performed by startup companies in running their business. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, employees worked in offices for seven hours, but after this pandemic, they change work patterns, moving them to work from home. Working from home requires companies to exercise better control and leadership patterns so that employees can work comfortably.
A Sequential Optimization Model of Cut-off Grade and Project/Location Selection in Open Pit Mining
Benazir Imam Arif Muttaqin,Cucuk Nur Rosyidi,Eko Pujiyanto 대한산업공학회 2019 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.18 No.3
To maximize benefits and gain competitive advantages, open pit mining companies must make right decisions concerning the optimal cut-off grade and the selection of mining projects/locations. The maximum profit for each mining project/location can be achieved through the cut-off grade optimization. The aim of this research is to develop a sequential optimization model to determine the optimal cut-off grade and mining project/location selection. The cut-off grade optimization model is developed using an analytical approach by considering several revenues and costs, including valuable waste materials revenue and reclamation cost. Two economic indicators, namely Net Present Value (NPV) and Return on Investment (ROI), and some constraints are used in the mining project/location selection model. A numerical example is given to illustrate the proposed model application. Through this research, it is expected that the proposed model can help mining companies to determine the optimal cut-off grade and which mining project/location should be selected.
Warning Labels on Cigarette Packages:A Special Stimulus for Moslem Smokers to Quit Smoking
Rizal Edy Halim,Sumiyarto,Faisal Muttaqin 한국유통과학회 2015 Asian Journal of Business Environment (AJBE) Vol.5 No.1
Purpose - This study aims to explore the influence of combining "non-halal" labels with visual and textual warning labels on cigarette packages to induce the intention to quit smoking and boost the stop-smoking campaign. Research design, data, and methodology - This study examines" non-halal" labeling on cigarette packages using an experimental method. A total of 120 smokers, aged 18-23, were chosen from among Universitas Indonesia students. Data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and T-Test. Results - The use of a "non-halal" label as a warning on cigarette packages is more effective to influence Muslim smokers to quit smoking. The results also suggest that "non-halal" labels more effectively increase intentions to quit smoking when use din combination with textual-visual labels. Conclusions - The study found that the addition of "non-halal" labels in textual or textual-visual warning labels on cigarette packages would significantly increase the intention of Moslems smokers to quit smoking. These results support previous research findings, that if cigarettes are labeled as "non-halal" (haram) products for Moslem teenagers, it will induce them to quit smoking.
Effective UML models by using database system
Halim Faisal,Muttaqin Rizal 한국인공지능학회 2013 인공지능연구 (KJAI) Vol.1 No.1
This study suggested ways to control UML diagram and to make design of database and to retrieve diagram information by giving questions. The study classified elements of the diagram. For instance, class diagram was made of classes, and class was done of class name and attribute operator. The elements were transformed to be database table having basic key and foreign key information. The ways suggested had advantages of users' sharing of model information and reuse of the model. This study investigated cost saving, time saving and UML model construction by database. We had designed integrated and relation database that could save and manage UML diagram, and suggested retrieval. For instance, we classified class diagram into elements to make tables and kept relation of each element by using not only basic key of relation database but also foreign key information. We made database of modeling depending upon methods to give users convenience.
J48 and ADTree for forecast of leaving of hospitals
Halim, Faisal,Muttaqin, Rizal Korea Artificial Intelligence Association 2016 Korean Journal of Artificial Intelligence Vol.4 No.1
These days, medical technology has been developed rapidly to meet desire of living healthy life. Average lifespan was extended to let people see a doctor because of many reasons. This study has shown rate of leaving of hospitals to investigate the rate of not only department of surgery but also department of internal medicine. Linear model, tree, classification rule, association and algorithm of data mining were used. This study investigated by using J48 and AD tree of decision-making tree In this study, J48 and AD tree of decision-making tree of data mining were used to investigate based on result of both data. Both algorithms were found to have similar performance. Both algorithms were not equivalent to require detailed experiment. Collect more experimental data in the future to apply from various points of view. Development of medical technology gives dream, hope and pleasure. The ones who suffer from incurable diseases need developed medical technology. Environment being similar to the reality shall be made to experiment exactly to investigate data carefully and to let the ones of various ages visit hospital and to increase survival rate.
The Effect of Warning Labels on Cigarette Packages: Textual vs. Textual-Visual and Self-Efficacy

The small number of fusion research that addresses fear-appeal and self-efficacy in the effectiveness of warning labels cause the label is not clear, then the purpose of the study is the first to examine the effect of the combination of the message. With the experimental method, a total of 240 participants were smokers consist of Indonesian university students in the age range 18-23 years. Data obtained then processed with ANOVA statistical methods and Test T. The results are consistent with previous studies that the visual warning labels more effective than the textual warning labels alone. Results also suggest that a warning label should be both visual and textual messages combined with self-efficacy. Limitations, this study does not differentiate among smokers and non-smokers, in addition to the images are used only one type of disease, so that the research needs to be done to distinguish these factors.

Building materials contribute significantly to the indoor radon and thoron levels. Therefore, parameters that influence the exhalation rates of radon and thoron from building material need to be analyzed closely. As a preliminary study, the effects of humidity on exhalation rates were measured using a system with an accumulation chamber and RAD7 detector for Korean brick, Korean soil, and Indonesian brick. Resulting doses to a person who resides in a room constructed from the building materials were assessed by UNSCEAR method for different air exchange rates. The measurements have revealed that Korean brick exhaled the highest radon and thoron while Indonesian brick exhaled the lowest thoron. Results showed that for a typical low dense material, radon and thoron exhalation rate will increase until reached its maximum at a certain value of humidity and will remain saturated above it. Analysis on concentration and effective dose showed that radon is strongly affected by air exchange rate (ACH). This is showed by about 66 times decrease of radon dose from 0.00 h-1 to those of 0.50 h-1 ACH and decrease by a factor of 2 from 0.50 h-1 to those of 0.80 h-1. In case of thoron, the ACH doesn't have significant effects on effective dose.
