CHARACTERIZATION OF WEAKLY COFINITE LOCAL COHOMOLOGY MODULES
Moharram Aghapournahr,Marziye Hatamkhani Korean Mathematical Society 2023 대한수학회보 Vol.60 No.3
Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring, 𝔞 an ideal of R, M an arbitrary R-module and X a finite R-module. We prove a characterization for Hi𝔞(M) and Hi𝔞(X, M) to be 𝔞-weakly cofinite for all i, whenever one of the following cases holds: (a) ara(𝔞) ≤ 1, (b) dim R/𝔞 ≤ 1 or (c) dim R ≤ 2. We also prove that, if M is a weakly Laskerian R-module, then Hi𝔞(X, M) is 𝔞-weakly cofinite for all i, whenever dim X ≤ 2 or dim M ≤ 2 (resp. (R, m) a local ring and dim X ≤ 3 or dim M ≤ 3). Let d = dim M < ∞, we prove an equivalent condition for top local cohomology module Hd𝔞(M) to be weakly Artinian.

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) play an important role in hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) maintenance, proliferation, and apoptosis. DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) is consid-ered an essential factor in the maintenance of HSCs in mammalian cells. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the mRNA expression level of DNMT1 during cord blood (CB)-HSC ex vivo expansion with MSCs. Methods: Ex vivo cultures of CB-HSCs were performed in three culture conditions for 7 days: cyto-kines, cytokines with MSCs, and only MSCs. Total and viable cell numbers were counted after 5 and 7 days using trypan blue stain, and the stem cell percentage was then evaluated by flow cytometry. Moreover, in vitro colony-forming unit assay was carried out to detect clonogenic potential of HSCs at days 0 and 7 using MethoCult H4434. Finally, DNMT1 mRNA expression level was evaluated by real-time polymerase chain reaction. Results: Maximum CB-CD34+ cell expansion was observed on day 7 in all the three cultures. After 7 days, ex vivo expansion of CB-CD34+ cells indicated a significant decrease in DNMT1 expression in the cytokine cultures, whereas in the two co-culture conditions DNMT1 ex-pression was increased. A significant difference between the number of CD34+ and CD34−cells in the cytokine co-culture system was observed. Conclusion: These data indicated that an elevated expression of DNMT1 is associated with increased expansion and proliferation of HSCs co-cultured with human MSCs. Hence, DNMT1 may be a potential factor in the maintenance of expanded HSCs co-cultured with human MSCs.
Commutativity of Rings with some Power Constraints
Moharram A. Khan(Jeddah) KYUNGPOOK UNIVERSITY 2001 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.41 No.2
Throughout, R will be an associative ring ( may be without unity 1), Z(R) will represent the center of R, C(R) the commutator ideal of R, N'(R) the set of all nilpotent elements of R and N'(R) the set of all zero divisors in R. The symbol [x, y] stands for the commutator xy - yx of two elements x and y in R. As usual, Z[X, Y ] represents the ring of polynomials in two commuting indeterminates and Z < X, Y > denotes the ring of polynomials in two noncommuting indeterminates over the ring Z of integers. For a ring R and a positive integer m we say that R has the property Q(m); that is if m[x, y] = 0 implies that [x, y] = 0 for all x, y in R. Obviously , any m-torsion-free ring R has the property Q(m) and if R has the property Q(m); then R has the property Q(n) for any factor n of m. For fixed integers m > 1 and r ≥ 0, consider the following ring properties:
Synthesis and Structure of Purine Derivatives as Antitumor Effects
Moharram, H.H.,El-Bayouki, Khairy A.M.,Haggag, B.,Basyouni, W.M.,Osman, A.M. The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea 1989 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.12 No.2
The nucleophilic substitution reaction of 6-chloro purines (I) with malononitrile and ethyl cyanoacetate is carried out in DMSO and in the presence of an alkali. The possible tautomeric-ylidene form for the products is considered and discussed in view of IR, UV, NMR and mass spectral determinations. The derivatives were tested for their antitumor activities.

Cofiniteness of general local cohomology modules for small dimensions
Moharram Aghapournahr,Kamal Bahmanpour 대한수학회 2016 대한수학회보 Vol.53 No.5
Let $R$ be a commutative Noetherian ring, $\Phi$ a system of ideals of $R$ and $I\in \Phi$. In this paper among other things we prove that if $M$ is finitely generated and $t\in \mathbb{N}$ such that the $R$-module $\lc^{i}_\Phi(M)$ is ${\rm FD_{\leq 1}}$ (or weakly Laskerian) for all $i<t$, then $\lc^{i}_\Phi(M)$ is $\Phi$-cofinite for all $i<t$ and for any ${\rm FD_{\leq 0}}$ (or minimax) submodule $N$ of $\lc^t_\Phi(M)$, the $R$-modules $\Hom_R(R/I,\lc^t_\Phi(M)/N)$ and $\Ext^1_R(R/I,\lc^t_\Phi(M)/N)$ are finitely generated. Also it is shown that if $\cd I = 1$ or $\dim M/IM \leq 1$ {\rm(}e.g., $\dim R/I \leq 1${\rm)} for all $I \in \Phi$, then the local cohomology module $\lc^{i}_\Phi(M)$ is $\Phi$-cofinite for all $i\geq 0$. These generalize the main results of Aghapournahr and Bahmanpour \cite{AB}, Bahmanpour and Naghipour \cite{BN2, BN}. Also we study cominimaxness and weakly cofiniteness of local cohomology modules with respect to a system of ideals.

6-Arylamino-3,7-dihydro-3,7-dimethy-2-oxo-1H-purine and 2-arylimino-6-arylamino-3,7-dihydro-3,7-dimethyl-1H-purine were obtained in a one-pot reaction when 3,7-dihydro-3,7-dimethyl-1H-purine-3,6-dione, phosphorus pentaoxide, triethylamine hydrochloride and appropriate amine amino are heated at $170^{\circ}$. Some derivatives were tested for their antitumor activity.

Applying the available neutron flux for medical and industrial purposes is the most important application of research reactors. The neutron radiography system is used for non-destructive testing (NDT) of materials so that it is one of the main applications of nuclear research reactors. One of these research reactors is the 5 MW pool-type light water research reactor of Tehran (TRR). This work aims to investigate on materials and location of the beam tube (BT) of the TRR radiography system to improve the index parameters of BT. Our results showed that a through-type BT with 20 cm thick carbon neutron filter, 1.2 cm and 9.4 cm of the diameter of inlet (D1) and output (D2) BT, respectively gives thermal neutron flux almost 25.7, 5.6 and 1.1 times greater than the former design of the TRR (with D1 = 1.8 cm and D1 = 9.4 cm), previous design of the TRR with D1 = 3 cm and D1 = 9.4 cm, and another design with D1 = 5 cm and D1 = 9.4 cm, respectively. Therefore, the design proposed in this paper could be a better alternative to the current BT of the TRR.
