There are almost as many definitions of relative clauses as there are writers on the subject. For this paper, I am taking the definition by de Rijk (1972), which combines both syntactic and semantic features. He defines a relative clause to be a "sentence modifying a noun phrase, such that the deep structure of the sentence contains a noun phrase identical to the noun phrase it modifies" (p. 115). This definition tells us that, to be considered as a relative clause, a sentence must modify a noun phrase(NP), (this head noun can either precede or follow its modifying sentence depending on the language) and it must contain an NP coreferential to the head NP in the deep structure.

The profile of enzymes relevant to solvent production during direct fermentation of sago starch by Clostridium saccharobutylicum P262 in a 2 L stirred tank fermenter was determined utilizing different pH control strategies. During fermentation without pH control (initial pH of 6), the specific activity of crotonase, thiolase, and β-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase increased proportionally with solvent production. The highest crotonase (3,450.7 kat) and phosphotransbutyrylase activity (1,475.6 kat) was observed in fermentation where pH was maintained at 5 during the acidogenic phase and corresponded to a fairly high acid accumulation but low solvent production. During fermentation with a controlled pH of 5.25 during the solventogenic phase, the highest thiolase specific activity (255.7 kat) was obtained and corresponded to the highest production of acetone. On the other hand, the highest specific activities of crotonase, β-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase, and phosphotransbutyrylase were observed at pH 5.5 and corresponded to the highest production of ethanol and butanol. Butyryl-CoA dehydrogenase had no significance role in solvent fermentation. These results suggested that pH control strategies were important for improvement of solvent production during direct fermentation of sago starch by C. saccharobutylicum.

Nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewaters are a burning environmental issue of the present world. This review covers the studies conducted on the removal and recovery of phosphorus and nitrogen from wastewaters through struvite crystallization. Wastewater which contains a high amount of phosphorus and nitrogen would be a good source of struvite. Struvite is a phosphate fertilizer, although it contains a significant amount of nitrogen and magnesium, and it is an effective alternative source of rock phosphate to maintain the agricultural production system. The present review deals with the principles and concept of struvite nucleation, crystal growth and the factors that affect on the struvite quality. Struvite precipitation occurs in an equimolecular concentration of Mg<SUP>2+</SUP>, NH<SUB>4</SUB><SUP>+</SUP> and PO<SUB>4</SUB><SUP>3-</SUP> at slightly alkaline conditions. Addition of a source of Mg is essential to maintain the favorable condition of PO<SUB>4</SUB> and Mg. Different factors such as Mg:PO<SUB>4</SUB> molar ratio, pH, aeration rate, reactor types, as well as P and N removal efficiencies were also discussed throughout this review. The slower nutrient leaching loss and its fertilizer quality make struvite an eco-friendly fertilizer. It is possible to overcome the acute shortage of rock phosphate if all the municipal and livestock wastewaters are connected with the wastewater treatment plants.

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which internal brand communication (IBC) impacts on brand commitment (BC). Research design, data, and methodology – A structured questionnaire has been built and distributed on a total sample of 650 banking staff working in five public banks in Pakistan. Results – The findings of PLS-SEM revealed that besides the indirect effect of internal brand communication (IBC) on brand commitment via brand knowledge, the study also exposes a direct positive effect of IBC on brand commitment. This study also reveals that brand commitment is affected by brand knowledge and internal brand communication practices. The result of mediation reveals that brand knowledge partially mediated the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Practical implications- This study empirically validates that internal brand communication and brand knowledge are prerequisites for brand commitment. Therefore, managers, particularly in-service enterprises, should provide sufficient IBC practices and appropriate brand knowledge to enhance employees’ brand commitment. Conclusions – The comprehensive analysis of the impact of brand knowledge on the proposed relationship. It further adds up to the branding literature, which is mostly qualitative and lacks empirical validation.

Conventional extraction of oil and azadirachtin, a botanical insecticide, from Azadirachta indica involves defatting the seeds and leaves using hexane followed by azadirachtin extraction with a polar solvent. In order to simplify the process while maintaining the yield we explored a binary extraction approach using Soxhlet extraction device and hexane and ethanol as non-polar and polar solvents at various ratios and extraction times. The highest oil and azadirachtin yields were obtained at 6 h extraction time using a 50:50 solvent mixture for both neem leaves (44.7 wt%, 720 mgAza/kgleaves) and seeds (53.5 wt%, 1045 mgAza/kgseeds), respectively.
