      • Tracking a Cellular Phone in a Stolen Phenomena

        Cellular phone is a method for communication. As innovation is quickly redesigning, it gives variety of work extension. Additionally it is likewise considered now days, stockpiling of huge information. In spite of the fact that loss of a phone because of robbery is a sudden event, it can be recouped by method for our executed android application. It gives location upgrade in at regular intervals through email. In the event that the mobile is turn on or restart then the application will run. A password will empower to turn off the application. This application is tested frequently in arbitrary cases and the precision level is attractive.

      • An Opportunistic Two Transceiver Based MAC Protocol for Cognitive Radio Networks

        Enormous growth of wireless applications makes the spectrum scarcity problem worse day by day. Moreover, traditional fixed spectrum assignment policy causes serious spectrum underutilization problem. However, Cognitive Radio that enables opportunity based spectrum access for unlicensed users has recently been recognized as a heartening solution for spectrum scarcity and underutilization problem. Medium access control protocol is the key enabler or coordinator for this opportunity based channel access. However, recent studies show that in distributed cognitive radio networks MAC protocol suffers from severe performance degradation due to common control channel selection (CCC) problem, the multichannel hidden terminal problem (MHTP). In this paper, we propose a MAC protocol that eliminates CCC selection problem. Here, unlicensed users use dedicated band owned by them as a common control channel. Every unlicensed user equipped with two transceivers. One is control radio that helps SU’s to get updated control information and other is data radio. This clearly cuts down the number of collisions with other secondary and primary users in data transmission phase. To obtain the accurate sensing result, we propose cooperative sensing for idle channel detection. In this paper, we develop an analytical model to analyze important performance metrics. Simulation results show the effectiveness of our system.

      • Cognitive Radio MAC Protocols

        In cognitive radio networks, methods to allow the efficient sharing of the radio spectrum without causing any harmful interference to the primary users and to solve the spectrum scarcity problem are necessary. Identifying the available spectrum resources through spectrum sensing, coordinating with other users for spectrum access, improving channel utility, reducing collision rates, and improving sensing overhead are the major factors in cognitive radio medium access control protocols. Efficient use of radio spectrum largely depends on accurate spectrum sensing, spectrum sharing, spectrum mobility, and spectrum decisions. Hence, cognitive radio technology can significantly solve the spectrum scarcity problem by exploiting radio spectrum unused by licensed users. However, many technical problems still need to be solved for the proper functioning of cognitive radio networks. The medium access control protocols for cognitive radio networks should provide a comprehensive description of common control channels, spectrum sensing, harmful interference to primary users, variation of the spectrum availability, infrastructure support, the need for time synchronization, and the number of radio transceivers. In this paper, we present an overview of current medium access control protocols. Moreover, the classifications of medium access control protocols with their relative advantages and disadvantages are thoroughly investigated. We also highlight and explore some important research issues and challenges that could drive future research in this area.

      • Location-based Post Natural Disaster Warning and Evacuation System

        The frequency and intensity of disasters like tsunamis, seismic tremors, floods, volcanic eruptions, avalanches, storms, and so on in the last decade has grown alarmingly. Bangladesh is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world, and it has failed to offer a productive disaster administration framework that can help victimized people in times of need, particularly during the salvage and alleviation stages. Thus, there is a need for a framework that may help in the productive procurement of supplies to disaster zones. The always-diminishing cost of mobile phones and wide system scope of cellular innovation has empowered cellular telephones to work even in remote areas. The Android operating system also expands its ubiquity among youngsters for its minimal effort and high effectiveness. Since the utilization of cell telephones in Bangladesh is broad, the outline of a disaster administration framework as a portable application is paramount. The usage of such a framework would be a helpful instrument for post-disaster administration. The application environment for the proposed framework is Google"s Android operating system in light of the fact that it is the most prevalent portable working framework today. We outline both server side and client side interfaces for better disaster recovery operations. The proposed framework is useful for both disaster victims and the rescuers. The GPS of advanced mobile phones is utilized for discovering the area of the client, and is fit for sending their area directions to the server. The server corresponds with a legitimate database of the organization, and the organization distinguishes the current position of a disaster victim. Organizations included in post-disaster administration utilize Google Maps, which shows the position of disaster victims with an asked-for disaster severity number and his versatile number. The volunteers of the salvage group to pass on the message for making essential move. The server site classes the alleviation choice which originates from the victim and store into the database for further utilization. The proposed framework in this project may serve as a good starting point for a post disaster management system in Bangladesh.

        Development of an Intelligent Traffic Management System Based on Modified Round-Robin Algorithm

        Now a days, each and everything in our life demands the characteristic of being real time. Traffic control is a challenging issue in our daily life and it always requires to be modified to cope with real time demand. Ongoing systems have limitation because these have fixed time interval for providing signal as well as non-systematic way of signal time manipulation which does not provide the flexibility to readjust the system according to the changing situation. More over choice of an appropriate algorithm is not suitable always to control the system with variety of time. Considering these facts we have proposed a traffic management system with a modified process scheduling algorithm. For the betterment of traffic management, we actually proposed a modified round-robin algorithm in this paper. To verify it’s appropriateness virtually, a simulation environment is developed in JAVA. We considered variety of input and calculated average waiting time, variance and standard deviation of waiting time as performance metric for selecting the most suitable scheduling algorithm. The performance of existing process scheduling algorithms and modified round-robin are evaluated and compared. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed modified round-robin algorithm is better adaptable to design an intelligent traffic control system.

      • Indoor Location System with Wi-Fi and Alternative Cellular Network Signal

        Wi-Fi positioning system is widely being studied in many fields of smartphones. In an open air environment a GPS receiver is able to determine its position with a high level accuracy. But in inside a building, where the GPS signal is bad or unavailable or unappreciated. The position estimation from the GPS receiver is very erroneous and has no practical use. Wi-Fi triangulation system is applied in indoor location but faced signal coverage error. Therefore, we propose a method of indoor positioning that determines the user's current position with the nearby Wi-Fi routers and cellular network signal strength RSSI values. This Signal strength RSSI estimates the location fingerprints based on at least two wireless Access Points and an alternative Cellular network or three access points. The cellular network is an alternative backup of unreached Wi-Fi Access point where this Access point’s coverage is unknown or sparse. Predefined points are used to measure distance from a user could also generate advance level accuracy. Referring to the floor map, our method adjusts the real-time user's current location. Gravity sensor works on the back end to control Wi-Fi scanning enable or disable considering user movement for energy efficiency. We have implemented the proposed method on Android smart phones and our test results are discussed in this paper.
