      • TPHC방법에 의한 152Sm핵 준위의 수명측정

        Measurements of the electromagnetic lifetime of 2g+ staate in Sm-152 have been made by the TPHC method. Single gamma spectrum of Eu-152 taken with a Ge(Li) detector is analyzed by using DEC PDP-11/23 computer. From the results the energies and relative intensities were obtained. The partial lifetimes of the principal transitions were computed from the previous results. The expressed their results in terms of the reduced transition probabilities (B (E2) and B(M1) of the principal electromagnetic transitions. The present results are compared with calculatins based on the Interacting Boson Approzimation (I.B.A.) model. The values yidlded results in good agreement with I.B.A. model.

        The radioactive decay of 66.7 hour ^(99)Mo has been studied by measuring single gamma-ray spectra, gamma-gamma coincidences. Through single gamma-ray spectra using Ge(Li) detector, energies and relative intensities of twenty one gamma-rays were obtained. Gamma-gamma coincidences with Ge(Li) and NaI(T1) detectors, and sum-relations were used in determination of its fourteen energy levels. The resulting decay scheme consists of levels at 140.5, 142.9, 181.1, 509, 534.3, 671.5, 761, 920.5, 1,1003.9, 1,105, 1,129.3, 1,142.1, 1,169.3, and 1,199.8 kev.

      • 154Gd의 감마-감마 각 상관관계 측정

        ?Gd의 몇몇 감마전이에 대한 혼합비 δ를 구하기 위하여 감마-감마 각 상관관계 실험을 하였다. 두개의 Single Channel Analyzer 와 세개의 Counter, 그리고 하나의 Univeral Coincidence 를 사용한 동시회로가 본 실험에 사용되었다. 각 상관계수 Akk를 구하기 위하여, 각도 90?, 120?, 150?180?에서 동시계열(1596-123 keV, 1274-123keV,1005-123keV,873-123keV,248-123keV,723-873keV)을 조사하였다. δ(1596)=-0.091?, δ(1274)=-0.0009? δ(1005)= 6.3?, δ(873) =-5.9?, δ(248)= 0.295?를 구하였다. Gama-gamma angular correlation measurements were perormed to determine the mixing ratio δof some γ-transistions in ?Gd. The coincidence circuit with two single channel analyzer, three counters and a universal coincidence were used to this experiment. To get the angular correlation coefficient Akk, the angular correlation function W(Θ) was fitted to the coincidence sequences at the angular positions Θ=90?, 120?150?and 180?. Results for themixing ratios are: δ(1596)=-0.091+0.049-0.052, δ(1274)=-0.009+0.016-0.034, δ(1005)=6.3+4.5-1.8, δ(873)=-5.9+2.5-1.8, δ(248)=0.295+0.070-1.134

      • ^152Sm에서의 다중극 혼합비에 관한 연구

        동일한 선원에 대한 감마-감마, 감마-내부전환전자 각상관관계 실험을 통하여 변형핵인 ^152Sm의 혼합비(δ)와 121.8keV전이의 내부 전환전자 입자매개변수(b_2)를 결정하였다. 감마선을 검출하는데는 두대의 Ge(Li)검출기를 내부전환전자를 검출하는 데는 표면장벽형검출기를 사용하였다. 실험을 통하여 다음과 같은 결과를 구하였다. 244.7 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =-0.012±0.007 688.6 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =17.4±3.01 964.0 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =9.51±1.93 1112.0 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =12.30±2.05 1408.0 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =0.16±0.07 964.0 keVγ-121.8 keVe_K ; b_2=1.66±0.26 1408.0 keVγ-121.8 keVe_K ; b_2=1.63±0.10 1408.0 keVγ-121.8 keVe_L ; b_2=0.99±0.13 혼합비는 PPQ(Pairing-Plus-Quadrupole)모델과 IBA(Interacting-Boson-Approximation)모델로부터 얻은 이론값과 비교하여 보았고 또한 입자매개변수값이 이론값과 큰 차이가 있는 것으로 보아 변형핵의 저에너지 E_2 전이에서 ‘anomaly’가 있는 것으로 추정된다. The mixing ratios (δ) and the internal conversion electron particle parameters (b_2) of the 121.8keV transition in deformed ^152Sm nuclei were determined by comparing the γ-γ and γ-e angular correlation measurements made with the same source. The experimental apparatus was constructed with a surface barrier detecter for electrons and two Ge(Li) detectors for gamma rays. The following results were obtained. 244.7 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =-0.012±0.007 688.6 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =17.4±3.01 964.0 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =9.51±1.93 1112.0 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =12.30±2.05 1408.0 keV-121.8 keV ; δ =0.16±0.07 964.0 keVγ-121.8 keVe_K ; b_2=1.66±0.26 1408.0 keVγ-121.8 keVe_K ; b_2=1.63±0.10 1408.0 keVγ-121.8 keVe_L ; b_2=0.99±0.13 The results are compared with the theoretical values derived from the Pairing-Plus-Quadrupole model and from the Interacting-Boson-Approximation model, and an 'anomaly' was found in the low-lying E_2 transition for deformed ^152Sm nuclei.

      • Ge(Li) Spectrometer에 의한 검출 효율 및 Eu¹5²→Sm¹5²의 방사능 측정

        Activity determination for Eu-152 has been carried out by means of photopeak analysis using the computerized gamma-ray spectrometry system which consists of 8192 channel pulse height analyzer, 76� Ge(Li)detector, and LSI-� computer. For the prior determinations of photopeak efficency of the detector as a function of incident photon energy, an Eu-152 was used. The activity of Eu-152 was determined through the computation of the photopeak area and the successive operation of previously determined photopeak efficency and relevent correction factors to the peak area. The result shows that determined activity of Eu-152 agree with the given standardized value within 2%. Through this study it is concluded that the activity of gamma emitting nuclides with relatively simple decay schemes like Eu-152 can be determined with an uncerntainity better than 2% by means of gamma-ray spectrometry using our system.

      • ^86Rb의 핵분광학적 연구

        A nuclear spectroscopic study of ^86Rb was made on the decay of ^86Rb→^86Sr, using a double-focusing beta ray spectrometer and a Ge(Li) detector which have high resolving power. The Fermi-Kurie plot obtained from the beta-ray momentum distributions shows that the beta-ray end point energies of ^86Rb are 693.8keV (log ft=7.8) and 1772.5 keV (log ft=8.5). a Ge(Li) detector was also used with 4096 multichannel analyzer to detect gamma ray, the results show 1076.33 keV gamma ray for ^86Sr.

      • 양전자 소멸 분광학에 대한 플라스틱 섬광검출기의 시간 분해능 측정

        We have measured the time resolution of the system for Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy(PAS). Time resolution means a measure to response to time intervals between start and stop signals. We used ^(22)Na positron source to obtain start and stop signals, that is, 1.27 MeV γ-ray is as a start signal, and 511 keV γ-ray as a stop signals resulted from annihilation with electron in material. The system composed of two plastic scintillation detertors with a size of diameter 2". After calibrating TAC, We obtained that the time resolution of PAS system has about 300 ps for ^(60)Co window. In addition to that, we recognized that the resolution was dependent of the length of delay line on the CFD panel, except of the size of scintillators and the geometry of Photo Multiplier Tube. 본 연구에서는 양전사 소멸 분광학(PSA)의 시스템의 시간 분해능을 측정하였다. 시간 분해능은 시작과 정지신호 사이의 시간 차이의 반응 정도를 측정하는 것이다. ^(22)Na 양전자 동위원소를 사용하여 금속안에서 전자의 소멸로 인한 1.27 MeV의 감마선 시작 신호와, 511 keV의 정지신호를 얻을 수 있었다. 측정장비는 지름이 2인치인 두 개의 플라스틱 섬광검출기로 구성하였다. TAC를 보정한 후에 ^(60)Co 창에서 PAS 시스템의 시간 분해능은 300ps임을 얻을 수 있었다. 이번 연구에서 분해능은 CFD 패널의 시간 지연선의 길이에 의존적임을 알 수가 있었으며, 섬광체의 크기와 광전자증배판(PM Tube)의 구조와는 연관이 없음을 알 수 있다.

      • Development and Characteristics of A Miniature Gamma Camera Using MaI(Tl)-PSPMT for Medical Imaging

        We have develop0ed a small gamma camera dedicated for breast imaging. The small gamma camera system consists of a Nal(TI) crystal (60 mm ×60 mm) coupled to a Hamamatsu R3941 position sensitive photomultiplier tube (PSPMT), a resister chain circuit, preamplifiers, nuclear instrument modules, an analog to digital converter and a PC employed for control and display. The intrinsic energy resolution of the system was 18% FWHM at 140 keV. The spatial resolution was obtained using a line-slit mask and Tc-99m point source and was 2.2∼2.3 mm FWHM. The intrinsic sensitivity of the system was approximately 8000 counts/sec/μCi. High quality flood and hole mask images were obtained. Breast phantom containing 2∼7 mm diameter spheres was successfullyimaged with parallel hole collimator. The obtained image displayed accurate size and activity distribution over the imaging field of view. The small gamma camera developed in this study could be used to perform scintimammography and might improve the diagnostic accuracy by optimally imaging the breast.
