본 논문은 Distance 합성알고리즘과 Runlength-Distance 합성알고리즘을 이용하여 효율적으로 문서화상을 합성하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 데이터 또는 문서의 화소정보를 비밀리에 화상에 혼합하는 합성 알고리즘에는 임 Runlength 합성알고리즘(RM), Distance 합성알고리즘(DM), Runlength-Distance 합성알고리즘(RDM)등이 제안되었다. 그러나 이러한 합성알고리즘들을 적용한 기존의 방법은 암호화 시간이 길어지고 신뢰도가 떨어지는 문제점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 DM과 RDM 알고리즘을 보다 효율적으로 적용하여 암호화 시간을 단축시켰다. 또한, 기존 합성알고리즘에서의 합성방법을 변형한 형태로서 모듈별로 디지털 서명을 합성하는 방법을 제안한다. 이렇게 모듈별로 디지털 서명을 가함으로써 보안 전송에 있어서 가장 중요한 요소인 신뢰도를 증가시키도록 하였다. Runlength Mixing(RM), Distance Mixing(DM) and Runlength-Distance Mixing(RDM) algorithms have been proposed for mixing of bits of document-images security. However the existing mixing algorithms have some problems that increase cryptographic time and reduce confidence. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for mixing document images efficiently by using DM and RDM. When we mix digital signatures and secure documents, by using DM the proposed algorithm reduces the encryption time of document images. In addition the proposed algorithm mixes digital signatures by each module in order to increase confidence. It is shown through the experiments that our algorithm outperforms the existing mixing algorithms in terms of encryption time and confidence.

A simple and highly sensitive method for the determination of unsaturated fatty acids (C_16:1, C_20:4, C_20:5) is described. I-Bromoacetylpyrene was used as the pre-column fluorescent labelling reagent for HPLC. Fatty acids were derivatized quantitatively into fluorescent compounds by treating with 1-bromoacetylpyrene in the presence of 18-crown- 6 in acetonitrile. The optimum conditions for the derivatization such as, concentrations of KOH, 18-crown-6, and 1-bromoacetylpyrene, reaction temperature and reaction time, were investigated. The derivatives were separated on a reversed phase column (LiChrosorb RP-8, 5 ㎛) using the tertiary mixture of acetonitrile, methanol, and water as the mobile phase. The effluent was monitored by fluorometer (excitation wavelength; 366 nm, emission wavelength; 454 nm). Linearities of calibration curve were obtained between 5.0 p mol and 40.0 p mol. The detection limit of fatty acids was 1 p mol in a 20μl of injection volume.

In this paper, we investigate GARCH and ARCH models to examine the relationship between nominal exchange rate volatility and trade balances. We find that the ARCH(GARCH) conditional variance has a statistically significant impact on the trade balance. This study also provides an empirical overview of the trade account and Korean won-dollar exchange rate using integer and fractional cointegration approach. The analysis of fractional cointegration which integrates the notions of cointegration and of fractional differencing allows the equilibrium error to follow a fractionally integrated process and avoids the stringent Ⅰ(1) and Ⅰ(0) distinction maintained in previous empirical work. This paper shows that all the fractional estimates of d not only lie between 0 and 1, but are greater than 0, suggesting a mean-reverting bahaviors.
Experimental Study on the Radiant Tube Burner with Self - Biased Fuel Nozzle

Full scale combustion tests for a conventional fuel nozzle and a self-biased one were carried out using a two-stage radiant tube burner as the basis. Compared with the conventional nozzle, more than 40% reduction in NO_x, emission was achieved with the self-biased nozzle. Under the same furnace temperature, the peak temperature was lowered and the temperature uniformity on the radiant tube was enhanced with the self-biased nozzle. The optimal design criteria for the self-biased nozzle were derived.
Fluid Flow through 180° Curved Pipe of Radiant Tube

The present study was carried out to investigate the flow characteristics through the curved section of a radiant tube which is used in the steel industry. The velocity profiles in the curved section were measured at a 1/2 scale water model apparatus by using 2D-LDV. The flow was also simulated numerically and a comparison was made with the experimental results. The flow characteristics in the curved section for various flow conditions of the burner was investigated. The secondary flow in the curved section and the flow stagnation phenomena at the end of the curved section were confirmed. 1t was found that the swirl velocity component imparted by the burner degrades the uniformity of flow and enlarges the stagnant region in the curved section. This flow pattern is supposed to cause non-uniform heat transfer and the local failure at the end of the curved section.

A comparison of the coefficient of performance (COP), the specific cooling power (SCP) and the reactor volume per output power was carried out with numerous metallic salt-ammonia couples for single effect solidgas chemical heat pumps. Optimal reaction couples could be selected in terms of COP, SCP and reactor volume at each application domain of deep freezing (-15∼-20℃), ice making (-10∼-5℃) and air conditioning (0-10 ℃).

<P><I>Context</I>: Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), an active component of honeybee propolis, is known to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and other beneficial medicinal properties. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying its anti-allergic effects in mast cells are unknown.</P><P><I>Objective</I>: The purpose of the present study was to examine whether CAPE modulates the immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated local allergic reaction in animals, as well as to elucidate the effects of CAPE on mast cells <I>in vitro</I>.</P><P><I>Materials and methods</I>: To investigate the bioactive potential of CAPE (10 or 20 µM), HMC-1 cells were stimulated with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate plus calcium ionophore A23187 (PMACI) for 24 h in the presence or absence of CAPE. To study the pharmacological effects of CAPE, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs), RT-PCR, Western blot analysis, electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSAs), and fluorescence assays were used.</P><P><I>Results</I>: CAPE (10 mg/kg) inhibited local IgE-mediated allergic reactions (0.164 versus 0.065 O.D.) in a mouse model. Additionally, CAPE (20 µM) attenuated PMACI-stimulated histamine release (3146.42 versus 2564.83 pg/ml) and the production of inflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin (IL)-1β (4.775 versus 0.713 pg/ml, IC<SUB>50</SUB> = 6.67 µM), IL-6 (4771.5 versus 449.1 pg/ml, IC<SUB>50</SUB> = 5.25 µM), and IL-8 (5991.7 versus 2213.1 pg/ml, IC<SUB>50</SUB> = 9.95 µM) in HMC-1 cells. In activated HMC-1 cells, pretreatment with CAPE decreased the phosphorylation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase. In addition, CAPE inhibited PMACI-induced nuclear factor (NF)-κB activation by suppressing IκBα phosphorylation and its degradation.</P><P><I>Discussion and conclusion</I>: Our results indicated that CAPE can modulate mast cell-mediated allergic disease.</P>
