Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate economic feasibility of operating Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Centers using cost-benefit analysis. Methods: The current study assessed cost and benefit data collected from nine hospitals which were designated as Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Centers between 2008 and 2010. Results: The operation of Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Centers reduced mortality rate and length of stay due to acute myocardial infarction and stroke and also decreased disability occurred after stroke. The total calculated cost of operating nine Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Centers was 19.85-22.30 billion won and the minimum benefit calculated was 23.98 billion won. Applying the maximum cost and the minimum benefit, the net benefit was 1.68 billion won, which is estimated to 190 million won per Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Center. Conclusions: The present study revealed that the operation of Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Centers was economically beneficial. The benefit would be larger if intangible benefit such as the long-term effects to community hospitals and enhancement of quality of life of patients and their families are considered.

항암화학요법제의 기본약제로 널리 사용되고 있는 5 -fluorouracil의 투여에 따른 생쥐 신장의 lactate dehydrogenase와 glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase 활성변화를 관찰한 결과 투여시간 경과에 따라 현저한 효소환성의 저하를 나타내었다. This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of 6-fluorouracil on lactate dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in mice kidney. The experimental animals were administrated with 5-fluorouracil by intraperitoneal injection and oral administration with single dose of 0.5 mg per individual during four dayg. The activities of lactate dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase were observed by Chayen's method and Abe's method for histochemical study. The following results were obtained: 1.The lactate dehydrogenase activities began to be decreased from the second day and appeared lower activities at the third and fourth day after the intraperitoneal injection of 5-fluorouracil. In the oral administration, the lactate dehydrogenase activities began to be decreased the third day and appeared lower activities at the fourth day. 2.The activities of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase began to be decreased from the second day and these activities maintained at the third and fourth day after the intraperitoneal injection of 5-fluorouracil. In the oraloadministration, the activities were decreased at the third and fourth day. 3.The decrease of the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and lactate dehydrogenase activities was marked at the proximal and distal convoluted tubule and the outer zone of medulla.

Anthracycline계 항암항생제인 adriamycin투여에 따른 랫트 신장 독성을 투여 시간 경과에 따라, alkaline phosphatase, adenosine triphosphatase와 acid phosphatase의 활성 변화로 관찰하였다. This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of adriamycin on renal alkaline phosphatase, adenosin triphosphatase and acid phosphatase in rat. The experimental animals were administered with single dose of adriamycin, Img/kg, by the intravenous injection. The following result were obtained 1.The alkaline phosphatase activity appeared to be moderately decreased in the proximal convoluted tubules at the 8 hours. This decrease maintained by the second day and recovered to the normal state at the fourth day. 2.The adenosine triphosphatase activity appeared to be moderately increased in the proximal convoluted tubules at the 12 hours This increase maintained by the eighth day. 3.The acid phosphatase activity is moderately increased in the proximal convoluted tubules at the 4 hours. This in crease maintained by the 18 hours and recovered to the normal state at the first day.

Mitomycin C의 투여로 생쥐 신장의 lactate dehydrogenase와 glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase 활성은 투여 시간의 경과에 따라 현저히 저하하였다. This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of mitomycin C on lactate dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in mice kidney. The experimental animals were administered with mitomycin 2mg/kg per individual by intraperitoneal injection during five days. The activities of lactate dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase were observed by Chayen's method and Abe's method for histochemical study. The following results were obtained: 1.The lactate dehydrogenase activities began to be decreased from the second day. This decrease maintaianed by th fifth and was marked at the proximal and distal tubule, and the outer zone of the medulla. 2.The glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activities began to be decreased from the second day and appeared lower activities at the fourth and fifth day. This decrease was marked at the proximal and distal tubules.
발생기 랫트의 췌장 내분비세포 소기관의 미세구조적 관찰

발생기 랫트 췌장의 내분비세포 중 B세포의 Golgi apparatus는 태생 18일(분비과립생성 시기)을 전후하여 그 미세구조가 변화하였는데, "rigid lamellae"는 태생 16일과 18일에 뚜렷하게 발달되어 있었으며 태생 16일에는 RER과 Golgi stacks의 tracts cisternae가 매우 근접하여 존재하였으나, 그 이후에는 그러한 관계가 나타나는 빈도가 매우 감소하였다. The Golgi apparatus of pancreatic B cell of rat embryo was studied during development from day 14 through day 20 of gestation. The morphological patters varied characteristically, first early, and second late in the production of secretory granules. 1.Day 16 of gestation was characterized by the pronounced system of the transmost "rigid lamellae" which were detached from the trans face of the Golgi stacks ; by contrast, in the terminal period of gestation, the "rigid lamellae" were sparse. 2.Day 16 of gestation was characterzied by the tight association of the rough endoplasmic reticulum and the trans face of Golgi stacks ; the close spatial relationship of two compartments was lessened after day 18 of gestation. Our results showed that the morphological patterns of the Golgi stacks of the developing pancreatic B cells varied in the course of embryonic cell differentiation. The variable morphological patterns of the Golgi stacks might be related to differences of the main functional tasks of the Golgi apparatus in different developmental stages.
반묘추출물이 생쥐 신장조직의 alkaline phosphatase 활성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

The effect of cantharides extracts on the alkaline phosphatase activity was examined in mice kidney. The experimental animals were injected with cantharides extracts by intraperitoneal injection with single dose of 0.04 mg. per Gm. bo4y weight. Alkaline phosphatase activity with histochemical stain by modified Gomori method were examined from 1 hr. to 32 days after injection. The following results were obtained; 1. Alkaline phosphatase activity seemed to have the tendency to be decreased from Mr. after injection and presented the lowest activity at 24 hrs. after injection. 2. The renal alkaline phosphatase activity has recovered from 48 hrs. and observed the same as control group at 8 days after injection. 3. The concentration of renal alkaline phosphatase was marked at the proximal convoluted tubules, especially brush border.

This experimental studies were carried out to determine the' quantitative content of hepatic glycogen granules with acute -carbon monoxide poisoning: in rats. The experimental animals were .poisoned with 0.1%, 0.25% . and 0.5% of - carbon monoxide for 5 .minutes to 24 hours. The following results were-observed; 1. The-hepatic glycogen granules -were decreased moderately for 60 minutes to 8 hours, and decreased severely at 12 hours and 24 hours; in 0.1% CO-poisoning. 2. The moderately decreased glycogen granules were revealed for 30 minutes to 2 hours in 0.25% CO poisoning. The glycogen granules were severely decreased in 4 hours. 3. In 0.5% CO-poisoning, the glycogen granules were decreased moderately for 30 minutes to 60 minutes. 4 The decreasing time of hepatic glycogen granules was gradually shortened by high concentration of carbon monoxide.
