        <백민>/<자유문학>의 매체이념과 김송의 단편소설

김준현 ( Kim Junhyun ) 민족어문학회 2017 어문논집 Vol.- No.80

This study is focused on the relation of the media-ideologies of < Baek-min >/< Jayu-munhak > and the short stories of Song Kim. The media-ideology tend to be refracted and changed in the texts in the literary magazines. Song Kim took a major role in publishing these two magazines in 1945~1960, and at the same time he inserted his short stories in the magazines as a writer. This fact make him and his works good examples of the relation between media ideology and inserted (literary) text in magazines. This study proved 3 theories: 1) The short stories of Song Kim and his publishing act were related to each other; He tried to use his stories as practices of the media-ideologies of his magazines. 2) The shared memories of these magazines were distorted by remembrance of Song Kim himself and literary people at the period, which was revealed by comparison of the media- ideologies and his stories of the magazines. 3) Song Kim had an aspect of activist, and because of that his writing and philosophy of literature were influenced by literal discourse of other ideologues of the magazines.

Variation of Floating Potential in the Topside Ionosphere Observed by STSAT-1

        Junhyun Lee,Ensang Lee,Jaejin Lee,Khan-Hyuk Kim,Jongho Seon,Dong-Hun Lee,Ho Jin,Eung-Hyun Kim,Hyun-Jin Jeon,Seong-Bin Lim,Taeyoun Kim,Jaewoong Jang,Kyung-Duk Jang,Kwangsun Ryu 한국우주과학회 2014 Journal of Astronomy and Space Sciences Vol.31 No.4

In this study, we investigated the effect of space plasmas on the floating potential variation of a low-altitude, polar-orbiting satellite using the Langmuir Probe (LP) measurement onboard the STSAT-1 spacecraft. We focused on small potential drops, for which the estimation of plasma density and temperature from LP is available. The floating potential varied according to the variations of plasma density and temperature, similar to the previously reported observations. Most of the potential drops occurred around the nightside auroral region. However, unlike the previous studies where large potential drops were observed with the precipitation of auroral electrons, the potential drops occurred before or after the precipitation of auroral electrons. Statistical analysis shows that the potential drops have good correlation with the temperature increase of cold electrons, which suggests the small potential drops be mainly controlled by the cold ionospheric plasmas.

Safety of Laparoscopic Radical Gastrectomy in Gastric Cancer Patients with End-Stage Renal Disease

        Lee, Hayemin,Park, Cho Hyun,Park, Seung Man,Kim, Wook,Chin, Hyung Min,Kim, Jin Jo,Song, Kyo Young,Kim, Sung Geun,Jun, Kyong Hwa,Kim, Jeong Goo,Lee, Han Hong,Lee, Junhyun,Kim, Dong Jin The Korean Gastric Cancer Association 2018 Journal of gastric cancer Vol.18 No.3

Purpose: The surgical outcomes of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer were inferior compared with those of non-ESRD patients. This study aimed to evaluate the short- and long-term surgical outcomes of ESRD patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrectomy (LG) and open gastrectomy (OG) for gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: Between 2004 and 2014, 38 patients (OG: 21 patients, LG: 17 patients) with ESRD underwent gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Comparisons were made based on the clinicopathological characteristics, surgical outcomes, and long-term survival rates. Results: No significant differences were noted in the clinicopathological characteristics of either group. LG patients had lower estimated blood loss volumes than OG patients (LG vs. OG: 94 vs. 275 mL, P=0.005). The operation time and postoperative hospital stay were similar in both the groups. The postoperative morbidity for LG and OG patients was 41.1% and 33.3%, respectively (P=0.873). No significant difference was observed in the long-term overall survival rates between the 2 groups (5-year overall survival, LG vs. OG: 82.4% vs. 64.7%, P=0.947). Conclusions: In ESRD patients, LG yielded non-inferior short- and long-term surgical outcomes compared to OG. Laparoscopic procedures might be safely adopted for ESRD patients who can benefit from the advantages of minimally invasive surgery.

Association of HLA-DPA1 gene polymorphism with prolonged mechanical ventilation in patients undergoing liver transplantation

        Kim Eun Jung,Kim Min-soo,Kim Myoung Soo,Nam Junhyun,Choi Seung Ho 대한마취통증의학회 2022 Korean Journal of Anesthesiology Vol.75 No.5

Background: Prolonged mechanical ventilation (PMV) is a common complication after liver transplantation surgery. However, owing to the clinical and economic benefits of early extubation, many efforts have been used to assess the clinical predictors for PMV. The aim of our study was to explore the impact of perioperative risk factors, including candidate gene polymorphisms, for PMV in patients undergoing liver transplantation. Methods: One hundred forty patients who underwent liver transplantation surgery were enrolled. The duration of mechanical ventilation after surgery was examined, along with the length of intensive care unit and hospital stay, and 30-day mortality. Patient-related clinical factors and single nucleotide polymorphisms of candidate genes were assessed with regard to PMV, which was defined as mechanical ventilation for > 48 h. Results: Twenty-six (19%) patients continued to receive mechanical ventilation at 48 h after surgery. Intraoperative continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and an elevated serum lactate level during the postoperative period were significantly associated with the PMV group, compared to the non-PMV group (odds ratio [OR] = 24.731 [1.077, 567.915] versus OR = 3.008 [1.497, 6.045]). A significant association existed between the HLA-DPA1 rs8486 polymorphism and the risk of PMV under the allele model (OR = 8.060 [1.451, 44.765]). Conclusions: The rs8486 polymorphism in HLA-DPA1 can independently affect the risk of PMV in liver transplantation recipients, along with intraoperative CRRT application, and elevated lactate level during the postoperative period.

Feasibility of bench-scale selective bioflotation of copper oxide minerals using <i>Rhodococcus opacus</i>

        Kim, Gahee,Choi, Junhyun,Silva, Rene A.,Song, Youngsoo,Kim, Hyunjung Elsevier 2017 Hydrometallurgy Vol.168 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Bench-scale selective bioflotation tests were carried out in a 1L Denver cell using <I>Rhodococcus opacus</I> (<I>R. opacus</I>) cells as a collector in malachite–silica binary mixture and copper (Cu) oxide ore systems. Through the first set of tests carried out on the binary mixture, cell concentration and malachite fraction in the feed were optimized, and further the role of shear force by varying impeller speed (800, 1000, and 1200rpm) and adhesive force by varying pH (7 and 11) and ionic strength (1, 100, and 300mM) were examined. Overall, high malachite selectivity was observed under optimized conditions (both recovery and grade>90%). In addition, the recovery and grade of malachite were very sensitive to pH changes, with greater values being obtained at pH7, whereas the impeller speed and the ionic strength did not seem to play a big role over the range tested. The trend was in qualitative agreement with classical Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) interaction energy profiles, which show the relative magnitudes of the adhesive forces between the mineral and the attached cell under equal hydrodynamic conditions. The second set of tests was conducted using Cu oxide ores with two different particle sizes (74–150μm and −74μm) under the optimized conditions determined from the first set of tests. The recovery and grade of malachite were found to be much greater for finer ores (recovery=29.15% and grade=5.17%) than those for coarser ones (recovery=1.34% and grade=3.06%), which is likely due to differences in malachite liberation. Further comparison of the finer ore result with that obtained from the conventional process (i.e., sulfidization followed by xanthate adsorption) indicated that the malachite selectivity of bioflotation is much higher than that of the conventional process (grade=1.43%).</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Feasibility study of bench-scale selective bioflotation was conducted using <I>R. opacus</I> cells </LI> <LI> The recovery and grade of malachite is sensitive to pH in a malachite–silica mixture system </LI> <LI> Selective bioflotation was effective over wide ranges of impeller speed and ionic strength </LI> <LI> Selective bioflotation of Cu oxide ore was more effective for finer particles </LI> <LI> Higher malachite selectivity was observed using bioflotation than using the conventional process </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Comparison of laparoscopy-assisted and totally laparoscopic Billroth-Ⅱ distal gastrectomy for gastric cancer

        Junhyun Lee,Dongjin Kim,Wook Kim 대한외과학회 2012 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.82 No.3

Purpose: In laparoscopic distal gastrectomy for gastric cancer, most surgeons prefer extra-corporeal anastomosis because of technical challenges and unfamiliarity with intra-corporeal anastomosis. Herein, we report the feasibility and safety of intra-corporeal Billroth-Ⅱ anastomosis in gastric cancer. Methods: From April 2004 to March 2011, 130 underwent totally laparoscopic distal gastrectomy with intra-corporeal Billroth-Ⅱ reconstruction, and 269 patients underwent laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy with extra-corporeal Billroth-Ⅱ reconstruction. Surgical efficacies and outcomes between two groups were compared. Results: There were no differences in demographics and clinicopathological characteristics. The mean operation and reconstruction times of totally laparoscopic distal gastrectomy were statistically shorter than laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy (P = 0.019; P < 0.001). Anastomosis-related complications were observed in 11 (8.5%) totally laparoscopic distal gastrectomy and 21 (7.8%) laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy patients, and the incidence of these events was not significantly different. Post-operative hospital stays for totally laparoscopic distal gastrectomy were shorter than laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy patients (8.3 ± 3.2 days vs. 9.9 ± 5.3 days, respectively; P = 0.016), and the number of times parenteral analgesic administration was required in laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy patients was more frequent after surgery. Conclusion: Intra-corporeal Billroth-Ⅱ anastomosis is a feasible procedure and can be safely performed with the proper experience for laparoscopic distal gastrectomy. This method may be less time consuming and may produce a more cosmetic result.

      • A novel way to estimate the nanoindentation hardness of only-irradiated layer and its application to ion irradiated Fe-12Cr alloy

        Kim, Hoon-Seop,Lee, Dong-Hyun,Seok, Moo-Young,Zhao, Yakai,Kim, Woo-Jin,Kwon, Dongil,Jin, Hyung-Ha,Kwon, Junhyun,Jang, Jae-il Elsevier 2017 Journal of nuclear materials Vol.487 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>While nanoindentation is a very useful tool to examine the mechanical properties of ion irradiated materials, there are some issues that should be considered in evaluating the properties of irradiated layer. In this study, in order to properly extract the hardness of only-irradiated layer from nanoindentation data, a new procedure is suggested in consideration of the geometry of indentation-induced plastic zone. By applying the procedure to an ion irradiated Fe-12Cr alloy, the reasonable results were obtained, validating its usefulness in the investigation of practical effect of irradiation on the mechanical behavior of future nuclear materials.</P>
