        The importance of computer vision is rapidly increased. The interest of this field is concentrated on robot vision because of factory, material handling, inspection automation, flexible manufacturing system. This paper presents a comparative study and survey of object recognition algorithms for a robot vision system. The goals of these algorithms are to recognize the identity, position and orientation of randomly oriented industrial parts from jumbled objects. These are commonly referred to as the "bin picking" problem, in which the parts to be recognized are presented in a jumbled bin. Three central issues common to bin picking, are examined in detail. The major model based algorithms are introduced. The most of automatic part recognition algorithms belong these three model representations. This paper contributes the assembly automation, press automation, material handling automation, and levels up general vision skill since this paper provide a basic idea for robot vision system.

      • 영역기반 해상교통 검지기 시스템에 대한 연구

        Recently, the computer vision has been applied to many automation fields such as factory automation, traffic control, and material handling automation since CCD camera can get area information. In this paper, the advanced informations based on obtained area information using CCD camera are calculated such as ship speed, queueing length, queueing time, size, and kind. To get ship navigation speed, the two detection lines are set on the predetermined screen position. The speed is obtained using the passing time and the predetermined distance between the first and second detection line on the screen. Also, queueing length and time are obtained using screen position of ship. Furthermore, the size and the kind of ship are calculated using the prestored ship data and camera calibration data. This developed system contributes to reduce the traffic accidents on the coast. Futhermore, the more information can be extracted using obtained area information.

        Many sensors such as a structured grid pattern generator, a laser, and CCD camera to information have been used, but most of algorithms for a calibration are inefficient memory and experiment data are required. In this paper, the calibration algorithm of a structured grid pattern based on triang is introduced to calculate 3D information in the real world. The beams generated from str pattern generator established horizontally with the CCD camera are projected on the calibr CCD camera observes the intersection plane of a light and an object plane. The 3D infor calculated using observed and calibration data. This proposed method in this paper has advantages such as a memory saving and an e experimental data since the 3D information are obtained simply triangulation method.

        The data communication of the remote control and remote sensing operation that is used modem connect with two-wire, telephone line, cable, wireless and M/W. Therefore, in the remote control and remote sensing system is adapted to controlsensing interface and program beside the computer communication. Also in the case of continuous great capacity data that have acquired by the special unit. Actually, in the simplex data acquisition that is used the various method to apply the PC communication. In this paper, the control and sensing acquisition algorithm is design ed very simplex method with the FSK and serial communication function of micro-processor. Specially, the subject have designed the system for control and monitoring of operating condition of remote control transceiver.

        In this paper, a new management information system(MIS) is developed for a small-sized rope manufacturing company. The system consists of two fields such as complex production control, and general control field. The complex production control field is divided into three modules of inventory, production and marketing control. The general control field is divided into two modules of payment and finance control, respectively. This system is developed for the small and medium-scale enterprise which mainly manufactures the rope, as an example, and is furthermore applicable to the computer integrated manufacturing(CIM) in the future. Also, this system is expected to contribute to increasing profits, efficiency of company management and is applicable to various kinds of small and medium-scale manufacturing enterprises by adjusting and costomizing the developed system.

        So far, the common elasticity data of textile fabrics has not been present because the method depends on the knowledge of measurement operators. In this paper, the new measurement equipment using road cell is presented to measure the coefficient of textile fabrics in real time. The measurement method is based on the volt: among textile fabrics. The textiles with strong elasticity are high voltage produced from others are low. The presented method can be applied to visualize the textile, sew the cloth, contrc textile fabrics. Also, these measurement datum are used to B2B electronic trading system.

        An Automatic Weight Measurement of Rope Using Computer Vision

        Recently, the computer vision such as part measurement, and product inspection is very popular to achieve the factory automation since the labor cost is dramatically increasing. In this paper, the diameter and the length of rope are measured by CCD camera which is orthogonally mounted on the ceiling. Two parameters which are the diameter and the length of rope are used to measure the weight of rope. If the weight of rope is reached to predetermined weight, the information is transmitted to PLC(programmable logic control) to cut the rope on the wheel. The cutting machine cuts the rope according to the information obtained from the CCD camera. To measure the diameter and length of rope on real time, the searching space for image segmentation is restricted the predetermined area according to the camera calibration position. Finally, to estimate the weight of rope, the knowledge base system which depends on the diameter, the length of rope, and weight relation between these information are constructed according to diameters of rope. This method contributes to achieve the factory automation, and reduce the production cost since the operators are unnecessary to measure the weight of rope by try-and-error method.

        3원 변량분석을 이용한 구분적으로 일정한 모델의 에너지 함수 최소화를 위한 매개변수들 추정

        영상분할 결과는 알고리즘에 관련된 매개변수들에 따라 다르기 때문에 최적 분할을 위하여 시행 착오법이 많이 이용된다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 변량 분석법을 이용하여 영역기반 active contour 방법에 관련된 최적 매개변수들을 결정하는 방법을 제안한다. 3원 변량 분석법에 의해서 추출된 결과와 사용자가 영상에서 직접 그린결과가 상호 비교된다. 마지막으로 각 매개변수들의 주요 효과와 상호작용 효과를 측정하고 최적 값을 추출하기 위하여 점 추정 및 구간 추정 값을 계산한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 구간 상수 모델을 대상으로 영상분할시 최적 매개변수들을 추출하는데 큰 도움을 줄 것이다. The result of imaging segmentation becomes different with the parameters involved in the segmentation algorithms; therefore, the parameters for the optimal segmentation have been found through a try and error. In this paper, we propose the method to find the best values of parameters involved in the area-based active contour method using three-way ANOVA. The segmentation result applied by three-way ANOVA is compared with the optimal segmentation which is drawn by user. We use the global consistency rate for comparing two segmentations. Finally, we estimate the main effects and interactions between each parameter using three-way ANOVA, and then calculate the point and interval estimate to find the best values of three parameters. The proposed method will be a great help to find the optimal parameters before working the motion segmentation using piecewise constant model.

        Image Restoration Using Partial Differential Equation

        본 논문은 총 변화량 최소화와 같은 편 미분방정식을 기본으로 한 영상 복원에 제기된 이슈에 관련된다. 총 변화량 최소화방법과 같은 평활화 연산자의 과도한 분산과 계단화와 같은 문제점들에 대하여 특별히 연구한다. 계단화와 과도한 분산을 방지하기 위하여 대수시스템에서의 축척과 비 오목형 최소화 기법이 각각 고려된다. 더군다나 에지를 좀더 잘 보존하기 위한 다양한 제약 매개변수가 소개된다. 제안된 알고리즘이 소음제거에 있어서 효율적이고 합리적임이 수학적으로 증명되며 다양한 실험 결과가 보여진다. This paper is concerned with simulation issues arising in the PDE-based image restoration such as the total variation minimization(TVM) and its generalizations. In particular, we study the issues of staircasing and excessive dissipation of TVM-like smoothing operators. A strategy of scaling the algebraic system and a non-convex minimization are considered respectively for anti-staircasing and anti-diffusion. Furthermore, we introduce a variable constraint parameter to better preserve image edges. The resulting algorithm has been numerically verified to be efficient and reliable in denoising. Various numerical results are shown to confirm the claim.
