A Forward-Secure Certificate-Based Signature Scheme with Enhanced Security in the Standard Model
( Yang Lu ),( Jiguo Li ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.3
Leakage of secret keys may be the most devastating problem in public key cryptosystems because it means that all security guarantees are missing. The forward security mechanism allows users to update secret keys frequently without updating public keys. Meanwhile, it ensures that an attacker is unable to derive a user’s secret keys for any past time, even if it compromises the user’s current secret key. Therefore, it offers an effective cryptographic approach to address the private key leakage problem. As an extension of the forward security mechanism in certificate-based public key cryptography, forward-secure certificate-based signature (FS-CBS) has many appealing merits, such as no key escrow, no secure channel and implicit authentication. Until now, there is only one FS-CBS scheme that does not employ the random oracles. Unfortunately, our cryptanalysis indicates that the scheme is subject to the security vulnerability due to the existential forgery attack from the malicious CA. Our attack demonstrates that a CA can destroy its existential unforgeability by implanting trapdoors in system parameters without knowing the target user’s secret key. Therefore, it is fair to say that to design a FS-CBS scheme secure against malicious CAs without lying random oracles is still an unsolved issue. To address this problem, we put forward an enhanced FS-CBS scheme without random oracles. Our FS-CBS scheme not only fixes the security weakness in the original scheme, but also significantly optimizes the scheme effici
New Construction of Short Certificate-Based Signature against Existential Forgery Attacks
( Yang Lu ),( Gang Wang ),( Jiguo Li ),( Jian Shen ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.7
Certificate-based cryptography is a useful public key cryptographic primitive that combines the merits of traditional public key cryptography and identity-based cryptography. It not only solves the key escrow problem inherent in identity-based cryptography, but also simplifies the cumbersome certificate management problem in traditional public key cryptography. So far, four short certificate-based signature schemes have been proposed. However, three of them fail in achieving the existential unforgeability under adaptive chosen-message attacks and the remaining one was not constructed in the normal framework of certificate-based signature. In this paper, we put forward a new short certificate-based signature scheme. The proposed scheme is devised in the normal framework of certificate-based signature and overcomes the security weaknesses in the previous short certificate-based signature schemes. In the random oracle model, we formally prove that it achieves the existential unforgeability against adaptive chosen-message attacks. Performance comparison shows that it is efficient and practical.
Provably Secure Certificate-Based Signcryption Scheme without Pairings
( Yang Lu ),( Jiguo Li ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2014 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.8 No.7
Certificate-based cryptography is a new cryptographic paradigm that provides an interesting balance between identity-based cryptography and traditional public key cryptography. It not only simplifies the complicated certificate management problem in traditional public key cryptography, but also eliminates the key escrow problem in identity-based cryptography. As an extension of the signcryption in certificate-based cryptography, certificate-based signcryption provides the functionalities of certificate-based encryption and certificate-based signature simultaneously. However, to the best of our knowledge, all constructions of certificate-based signcryption in the literature so far have to be based on the costly bilinear pairings. In this paper, we propose a certificate-based signcryption scheme that does not depend on the bilinear pairings. The proposed scheme is provably secure in the random oracle model. Due to avoiding the computationally-heavy paring operations, the proposed scheme significantly reduces the cost of computation and outperforms the previous certificate-based signcryption schemes.
Antifungal Effect of Triglycerol Monolaurate Synthesized by Lipozyme 435-Mediated Esterification
Song Zhang,Jian Xiong,Wen-Yong Lou,Zhengxiang Ning,Denghui Zhang,Jiguo Yang 한국미생물·생명공학회 2020 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.30 No.4
This study was designed to synthesize triglycerol monolaurate (TGML) with Lipozyme 435 as the catalyst, and explore its effects on the growth of Aspergillus parasiticus (A. parasiticus) and Aspergillus flavus (A. flavus) and the secretion of aflatoxin b1. The highest content of TGML (49.76%) was obtained at a molar ratio of triglycerol to lauric acid of 1.08, a reaction temperature of 84.93°C, a reaction time of 6 h and an enzyme dosage of 1.32%. After purification by molecular distillation combined with the washes with ethyl acetate and water, the purity of TGML reached 98.3%. Through characterization by electrospray-ionization mass spectrometry, infrared spectrum and nuclear magnetic resonance, the structure of TGML was identified as a linear triglycerol combined with lauroyl at the end. Finally, the inhibitory effects of TGML on the growths of A. parasiticus and A. flavus and the secretion of aflatoxin b1 were evaluated by measuring the colony diameter, the inhibition rate of mycelial growth and the content of mycotoxin in the media. The results indicated that TGML had a stronger inhibitory effects on colony growth and mycelial development of both toxic molds compared to sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, and the secretions of toxins from A. parasiticus and A. flavus were completely suppressed when adding TGML at 10 and 5 mM, respectively. Based on the above results, TGML may be used as a substitute for traditional antifungal agents in the food industry.
