An investigation of the MeOH soluble fractions of a marine sponge Psammocinia sp. (Order:Dictyoceratida) led to the isolation of a new epidioxy sterol (1) and four known sterols (2-5). Their planarstructures were defined by analyses of the spectroscopic data. The 27-nor-24-methylcholestan type side chain withan epidioxy nucleus (1) was unprecedented. Compounds 1-5 were isolated from a sponge Psammocinia sp. for the first time.
온라인 환경에서 신뢰와 위험 관계에 대한 문헌적 고찰 및 메타분석

Recently, in the research on online environment such as e-commerce, and internet banking, the conceptual discussion about trust and risk in an effort to explain a user's behavior is briskly underway. Most of the research on trust and risk are setting up causal relationship without clearly establishing the relationship between trust and risk. Accordingly this study conducted a meta-analysis in order to consider the relationship between trust and risk and to take a look at the difference in causal relationship. This study includes a total of 18 research papers which are setting up the causal relationship between trust and risk in online environment among the research papers published in domestic academic journals since 2000. Result of the meta-analysis, showed that the effect size was -0.367 in the path from trust to risk; -0.131 in the path from risk to trust; -0.276 in the bidirectional path between trust and risk. In addition, this study was able to confirm through literature review that there appeared a high effect of path in case where trust and risk were measured by an uni-dimensional concept than by a multi-dimensional concept.

최근 전자상거래, 인터넷뱅킹 등 온라인 환경에 대한 연구에서 사용자 행동을 설명하기 위해 신뢰와 위험에 대한 개념적 논의가 활발히 이루지고 있다. 대부분의 신뢰와 위험에 관한 연구에서는 신뢰와 위험 간의 관계에 대하여 명확하게 정립하지 못하고 인과관계를 설정하고 있다고 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 선행 연구를 통해 신뢰와 위험의 관계를 고찰하고 인과관계에 대한 상이점을 살펴보기 위해 메타분석을 실시하였다.

<P>The fruit of <I>Lycium chinense</I> Miller (Solanaceae) is used as a functional food and a medicinal herb for treating many specific health concerns. Weight gain induced by estrogen deficiency is a problem for post-menopausal women around the globe. The present study investigates the effects of aqueous extract of <I>L. chinense</I> (LC) on post-menopausal obesity. Female C57BL/6 mice were ovariectomized and fed on high-fat diet (HFD) for 12 weeks to induce post-menopausal obesity. LC extract (1<TEX>$ \,$</TEX>mg/kg and 10<TEX>$ \,$</TEX>mg/kg) was orally administrated for 6 weeks with continuous HFD feeding. Ovarian adipose tissues and uterus were weighed. Serum triglyceride, cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and fasting glucose levels were analyzed. The expressions of adipocyte-specific factors and estrogen receptors (ERs) were investigated. Additionally, lipid accumulation was confirmed in differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Increased body weight due to post-menopausal obesity was ameliorated about 14.7% and 17.76% by treatment of 1<TEX>$ \,$</TEX>mg/kg and 10<TEX>$ \,$</TEX>mg/kg LC, respectively. LC treatment reduced both of serum lipid and fasting blood glucose levels. Adipocyte hypertrophy and fatty liver were ameliorated in LC-treated groups. In LC-treated adipocyte cells, lipid accumulation was significantly inhibited. The expression of perilipin in adipose tissues was decreased by LC. In addition, expression of PPAR-<TEX>$ \gamma $</TEX> protein was down-regulated in adipose tissues and differentiated adipocytes, while GLUT4 expression was increased in adipose tissues by LC treatment. Moreover, LC treatment up-regulated the expressions of ER-<TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX>/<TEX>$ \beta $</TEX> accompanied with increased uterine weight. These results showed the ameliorative effects of LC on overweight after menopause. Post-menopausal obesity may be improved by LC treatment.</P>

<P>We report a compact all-fiber Bessel beam generator using hollow optical fiber (HOF) and coreless silica fiber based on a self-assembled polymer lens. A nearly diffraction-free Bessel beam pattern was observed with its focused beam diameter of 20 microm maintained over a propagation distance of 550 microm. The generated Bessel beams were experimentally tested under various structural parameters such as the diameters of the HOF and operating wavelengths. A beam propagation method was applied to simulate the proposed device, which shows good agreement with the experimental observations.</P>

<P>We propose a simple and efficient light launch scheme for a helical-core fiber (HCF) by using an adiabatically tapered splice technique, through which we overcome its inherent difficulty with light launch owing to the large lateral offset and angular tilt of its core. We experimentally demonstrate single-mode excitation in the HCF in this configuration, which yields the coupling efficiency of around -5.9 dB (26%) for a ~1.1-μm light input when the splice joint is tapered down to 30 μm in diameter. To our knowledge, this is the first proof-of-principle report on the fusion-splice coupling between an HCF and a conventional single-mode fiber.</P>
