<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The aim of this work is to prepare and evaluate a novel lipid-polymer hybrid liposomal nanoplatform (hyaluronic acid-magnetic nanoparticle-liposomes, HA-MNP-LPs) as a vehicle for targeted delivery and triggered release of an anticancer drug (docetaxel, DTX) in human breast cancer cells. We first synthesize an amphiphilic hyaluronic acid hexadecylamine polymer (HA-C16) to enhance the targeting ability of the hybrid liposome. Next, HA-MNP-LPs are constructed to achieve an average size of 189.93±2.74nm in diameter. In addition, citric acid-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are prepared and embedded in the aqueous cores while DTX is encapsulated in the hydrophobic bilayers of the liposomes. Experiments with coumarin 6 loaded hybrid liposomes (C6/HA-MNP-LPs) show that the hybrid liposomes have superior cellular uptake in comparison with the conventional non-targeting liposomes (C6/MNP-LPs), and the result is further confirmed by Prussian blue staining. Under near-infrared laser irradiation (NIR, 808nm), the HA-MNP-LPs aqueous solution can reach 46.7°C in 10min, and the hybrid liposomes released over 20% more drug than the non-irradiated liposomes. Using a combination of photothermal irradiation and chemotherapy, the DTX-loaded hybrid liposomes (DTX/HA-MNP-LPs) significantly enhance therapeutic efficacy, with the IC50 value of 0.69±0.10μg/mL, which is much lower than the values for DTX monotherapy. Consequently, the prepared hybrid nanoplatform may offer a promising drug delivery vehicle with selective targeting and enhanced drug release in treating CD44-overexpressing cancers.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Novel polymer-lipid nanohybrid liposomes for active tumor targeting are synthesized. </LI> <LI> Magnetic nanoparticles and drug are encapsulated for photothermal-chemotherapy. </LI> <LI> Nanohybrid liposomes significantly enhance cellular uptake to breast cancer cells. </LI> <LI> Near-infrared light can trigger drug release from the nanohybrid liposomes. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Purpose: During and after Covid-19 pandemic, technology has emerged as a key factor in supporting the recovery of the economy and the rise of living standards. This study examines seven factors affecting the intention of food delivery apps usage, which include Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit, and how much influence they have on the customers' behavioral continuance of food delivery apps after Covid-19 Pandemic. Research methodology: This research is a quantitative descriptive research with 473 qualified respondents from 550 respondents collected. Besides using the UTAUT2 model (Venkatesh et al., 2012), Information Quality was added to give a better explanation for the consumers’ intention towards continuance behavior using food delivery apps. The collected data is then processed using SPSS 22.0. Results: Habit factors and Information Quality factors have significant positive effects on promoting food delivery apps usage intention, which in turn influences continuance behavior. In addition, Habit factors and Information Quality factors together have an effect of 48.57% on Behavioral Intention. Conclusion: The result proves that positive habits and food information quality can increase the usage intention towards the behavioral continuance of consumers. Higher usage frequency can be improved by increasing these two factors.
How sWOM Contribution Motivations Vary by Cosmetics and Restaurants in Vietnam
LE, Thi Thanh Ha,VO, Thanh Thu Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.10
The purpose of this study is to shed light on the driving motivations of contributing social word of mouth on social networking sites (sWOM) toward both tangible and intangible products. In order to develop a research model, this study adopts the motivation theory and TAM model. Data was collected from 904 members of the cosmetic and restaurant communities by using the snowball method. After assessing the validity of all constructs, the structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to test the proposed hypotheses. Results show that personal motivations (satisfaction, opinion leadership, self-enhancement, and economic incentives) and characteristics of sWOM (Perceived Usefulness and Ease of Use) have positive effect on exposure and engagement behaviors. Here are our specific findings, (1) customer satisfaction positively affects online interactions on SNSs such as Like or Sharing a content; (2) sWOM contribution behavior exists in two structures (Exposure and Engagement) and affects each other; (3) This study combines two groups of personal motivation and TAM to conceptualize a research model; and (4) The motivations of contributing sWOM between a specified service and product are rather similar. These findings help digital managers to understand consumers' behavioral contributions on SNSs and also provide interesting insights for marketers.
Right lumbar lymph trunk injury after right laparoscopic donor nephrectomy: a case report
Le Thanh Dung,Le Nguyen Vu,Than Van Sy,Tran Ha Phuong,Ninh Viet Khai,Dao Xuan Hai,Nguyen Quang Nghia 대한이식학회 2023 Korean Journal of Transplantation Vol.37 No.2
Laparoscopic donor nephrectomy (LDN) is increasingly popular because of its advantages over open surgery. Chyle leak after donor nephrectomy is a rare but potentially lethal complication if not treated appropriately. We describe a case of a 43-year-old female patient with no remarkable history who presented a chyle leak on day 2 after right transperitoneal LDN. Since conservative treatment failed, the patient underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and intranodal lipiodol lymphangiography, which confirmed the chyle leak from the right lumbar lymph trunk into the right renal fossa. The chyle leak was percutaneously embolized twice, on postoperative day (POD) 5 and POD 10, by a mixture of N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate and lipiodol. The drainage fluid decreased significantly after the second embolization. The subhepatic drainage tube was withdrawn on POD 14, and the patient was discharged on POD 17. MRI lymphangiography and intranodal lipiodol lymphangiography effectively identified the chyle leak point. Percutaneous embolization seems to be a safe, effective method for treating high-output chyle leaks.
Shape memory alloy–based biopsy device for active locomotive intestinal capsule endoscope
Le, Viet Ha,Hernando, Leon-Rodriguez,Lee, Cheong,Choi, Hyunchul,Jin, Zhen,Nguyen, Kim Tien,Go, Gwangjun,Ko, Seong-Young,Park, Jong-Oh,Park, Sukho SAGE Publications 2015 Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engin Vol.229 No.3
<P>Recently, capsule endoscopes have been used for diagnosis in digestive organs. However, because a capsule endoscope does not have a locomotive function, its use has been limited to small tubular digestive organs, such as small intestine and esophagus. To address this problem, researchers have begun studying an active locomotive intestine capsule endoscope as a medical instrument for the whole gastrointestinal tract. We have developed a capsule endoscope with a small permanent magnet that is actuated by an electromagnetic actuation system, allowing active and flexible movement in the patient's gut environment. In addition, researchers have noted the need for a biopsy function in capsule endoscope for the definitive diagnosis of digestive diseases. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel robotic biopsy device for active locomotive intestine capsule endoscope. The proposed biopsy device has a sharp blade connected with a shape memory alloy actuator. The biopsy device measuring 12mm in diameter and 3mm in length was integrated into our capsule endoscope prototype, where the device's sharp blade was activated and exposed by the shape memory alloy actuator. Then the electromagnetic actuation system generated a specific motion of the capsule endoscope to extract the tissue sample from the intestines. The final biopsy sample tissue had a volume of about 6mm(3), which is a sufficient amount for a histological analysis. Consequently, we proposed the working principle of the biopsy device and conducted an in-vitro biopsy test to verify the feasibility of the biopsy device integrated into the capsule endoscope prototype using the electro-magnetic actuation system.</P>
An IF Bandpass Filter Based on a Low Distortion Transconductor
Ha Le-Thai,Huy-Hieu Nguyen,Hoai-Nam Nguyen,Hong-Soon Cho,Jeong-Seon Lee,Sang-Gug Lee IEEE 2010 IEEE journal of solid-state circuits Vol.45 No.11
<P>In this paper, a linearity improvement technique is proposed for a low-distortion Gm-C bandpass filter operating in high IF ranges. The proposed transconductor eliminates Gm' value at the output by superposing the opposite non-linear behaviors of two differential structures in parallel. For the bandpass filter, instead of conventional biquad structure, a resonant-coupling structure is adopted for a flat frequency response which is insensitive to process and temperature variations. Fabricated in 65 nm CMOS process, the implemented 80 MHz bandpass filter shows a flat bandpass characteristic with 0.1 dB ripple, third-order harmonic rejection of 27 dB, IIP3 of -2 dBm, and NF of 21.5 dB, while consuming 11 mA from 1.2-V supply. The filter occupies the chip size of 0.5 × 0.5 mm2.</P>
A new depth image quality metric using a pair of color and depth images
Le, Thanh-Ha,Jung, Seung-Won,Won, Chee Sun Springer-Verlag 2017 MULTIMEDIA TOOLS AND APPLICATIONS Vol.76 No.9
<P>Typical depth quality metrics require the ground truth depth image or stereoscopic color image pair, which are not always available in many practical applications. In this paper, we propose a new depth image quality metric which demands only a single pair of color and depth images. Our observations reveal that the depth distortion is strongly related to the local image characteristics, which in turn leads us to formulate a new distortion assessment method for the edge and non-edge pixels in the depth image. The local depth distortion is adaptively weighted using the Gabor filtered color image and added up to the global depth image quality metric. The experimental results show that the proposed metric closely approximates the depth quality metrics that use the ground truth depth or stereo color image pair.</P>
A Study on High Performance Fine-Grained Concrete Containing Rice Husk Ash
Ha Thanh Le,Sang Thanh Nguyen,Horst-Michael Ludwig 한국콘크리트학회 2014 International Journal of Concrete Structures and M Vol.8 No.4
Rice husk ash (RHA) is classified as a highly reactive pozzolan. It has a very high silica content similar to that of silica fume (SF). Using less-expensive and locally available RHA as a mineral admixture in concrete brings ample benefits to the costs, the technical properties of concrete as well as to the environment. An experimental study of the effect of RHA blending on workability, strength and durability of high performance fine-grained concrete (HPFGC) is presented. The results show that the addition of RHA to HPFGC improved significantly compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and chloride penetration resistance. Interestingly, the ratio of compressive strength to splitting tensile strength of HPFGC was lower than that of ordinary concrete, especially for the concrete made with 20 % RHA. Compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of HPFGC containing RHA was similar and slightly higher, respectively, than for HPFGC containing SF. Chloride penetration resistance of HPFGC containing 10?15 % RHA was comparable with that of HPFGC containing 10 % SF.
