This paper is mainly concerned with the state-of-the art practical development of a constant HF phase-shifted PWM bridge type resonant DC-DC suitable converter for X-ray high-power generator with a DSP-based controller.<br/> This converter effectively makes the best of the inherent lumped parasitic resonant LC circuit components incorporated into the high-voltage HF transformer and input-side equivalent parasitic capacitance of the high-voltage feeding cable in place of DC output smoothing filter. This parallel resonant converter with X-ray tube load is analyzed through the computer-aided simulation. Its voltage regulation characteristics in steady-state and the dynamic performances are illustrated with a generic method and discussed along with the operating characteristics of series and parallel resonant-tank converter topology.<br/> The trially-produced set-up using new power semiconductor devices/modules for X-ray power generator is investigated including new DSP-based voltage control technology which introduce the modern control theory from an experimental and a practical point of view.

This paper is mainly concerned with a resonant capacitor voltage-clamped type half-bridge topology of new instantaneous resonant current vector-regulated high-frequency inverter with VWF control functions, which efficiently operates at zero-current soft-switched quasi-resonant and load re sonant tank circuit sub-resonant hybrid soft-switching schemes. This proposed multi-resonant inverter version using Stat ic Induction ( SI) device is more suitable for modern induct!on-heating and -melting power<br/> supply in industrial production plants. Its new conceptional operating principle is basically presented including control strategy and its remarkable features are discussed as compared with other resonant inverter topologies. Its analytical results and performance evaluations are described through computer-aided simulating methods . A feasible breadboard of trially-produced inverter treated here is originally demonstrated for the state-of the art induction heating power supply and is examined in experiment from a practical point of view.<br/>
