      • Optimal Power Control and Time Allocation for Wireless-powered Relay Networks

Lin Xiao,Fahui Wu,Dingcheng Yang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.7

In this letter, optimal power control and time resource allocation schemes are considered in wireless relay network, which two users communicate with each other assisted by an energy harvesting relay that gathers energy from the received signal by applying a time switching scheme and forwards the received signal by using the harvesting energy. It is focused on the optimal power control and time resource allocation for the system to cooperate the power transfer and information transmission among three nodes in Decode-and-Forward (DF) mode. Specifically, time ratios for three transmission phases are firstly investigated. Then, we proposed to formulate the power optimization problem with energy constraint. Since the transmission duration of the transmitter is not fixed, the energy constraint instead of power constraint is more reasonable to evaluate the system performance. Through some variables substitution, we demonstrate that it is a convex problem. It can be solved efficiently by convex optimization technology. Simulation results are demonstrated that the performance of the proposed algorithm outperform than the fixed and semi-fixed traditional methods.

      • Mobility Load Balancing Scheme Based on Cell Priority in Heterogeneous Cellular Networks

Lin Xiao,Fahui Wu,Xiaolan Zhang,Tiankui Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.7

Mobility load balancing (MLB) is a significant technology in Long Term Evolution Advanced heterogeneous cellular networks (HCN). To solve high handover performance loss issue and the potential Ping-Pong problem, a novel MLB scheme based on cell priority is proposed. Considering the impact of different user mobile speeds and cell coverage radius of HCN, we define a handover tolerance as the priority of load balancing to reduce the system performance loss caused by user handover. Furthermore, we use the load balancing index to evaluate the load balancing of HCN, then the load allocation mechanism of overlapping cells is deployed to overcome potential Ping-Pong problem. Simulation results show that the proposed MLB scheme has better performance than the original MLB scheme in terms of the system throughput and the number of unsatisfied users. Meanwhile, the handover times are also improved.

A developed component mode synthesis for parametric response analysis of large-scale asymmetric rotor

Zhaoli Zheng,Fahui Zhu,Di Zhang,Yonghui Xie 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.3

A generalized and efficient method is proposed in this paper for parametric response analysis of large-scale asymmetric rotor. If the bearings are anisotropic in asymmetric rotor, the motion of the rotor-bearing system will be governed by ordinary differential equations with periodically time-variant coefficients in both fixed and rotating frame. Response analysis of such parametric system can be attempted by assuming solution based on Hill’s method. If the number of degree of freedoms (DOFs) of the original model is N and the number of terms considered in the truncated assumed solution is m, for response analysis one has to solve a set of equations with (2m+1)N unknowns. Calculating this kind of equations requires a lot of computational costs, and the application of 3D finite element model will lead to greater computational costs. To avoid this costly approach, the fixed-interface component mode synthesis (CMS) is employed to form a reduced-order model (ROM). Although conventional CMS is adequate enough to make response analysis of largescale structures, an optimized scheme still needs to be developed for the response analysis of large-scale asymmetric rotor to achieve high efficiency and accuracy. The optimized scheme concerning a single substructure and multiple substructures are established respectively. Finally, the developed approach is validated through a simple model and a large-scale realistic two-pole generator rotor. And factors that influence the parametric response are investigated.

      • Traffic and QoS-Aware Base Station Sleeping Scheme in Heterogeneous Cellular Networks

        Lin Xiao,Fahui Wu,Dingcheng Yang,Yutao Zhu,Jietong Liu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.9

With the rapid development of cellular networks, wireless communication industry has brought huge energy consumption and becomes the major consumer of environmental degradation inevitably. Thus, it is undoubtedly that realizing the sustainable development of green wireless communication has become the primary goal of global information and communications technology industry. Particularly, in cellular networks, sleep mode applied to base station (BS) is an efficient way. According to the cell traffic intensity, BS switching off/on strategy can reduce power consumption of BS effectively with a pre-condition that the quality of service (QoS) of users must be ensured. In the heterogeneous cellular networks, we proposed a BS sleeping scheme based on the traffic load varying in each cell, which is able to optimize both energy efficiency and power consumption by a multi-objective optimization problem. Then a sub-optimal solution is obtained according to a heuristic algorithm. The simulation results verified that the proposed scheme can improve the network performance.

Legal Issues for Implementing the Clean Development Mechanism in China

Xiaoyi Jiang,Fahui Hao (사) 이준국제법연구원 2011 Journal of East Asia and International Law Vol.4 No.1

The Clean Development Mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol was implemented inChina several years ago. In spite of the significant benefits the CDM has brought toChina, legal research on the CDM is relatively weak and there are many legalproblems with the implementation of CDM projects in Chian. This article clarifiesthe legal problems of implementing the CDM in China by exploring and analyzinghow to implement CDM projects, the legal relationships involved, CDM-relatedcontracts and various key legal issues. The conclusions drawn from the abovediscussions could have implications for the future carbon reduction activities inChina beyond 2012.
