Problem Orientated Learning in Technical and Vocational Education

진보일로에 있는 기술적 경제적 변화에 따라 작업현장에서 적응능력을 기르는 것이 직업교육의 중요한 목표 중 하나이다. 이 목표에서 도달은 問題中心學習을 통해 가능할 것으로 여겨진다. 이를 위해서 기술분야 직업에서 대두될 수 있는 문제해결방법의 원칙을 서술하였다. 다음으로 問題解決思考의 促進을 위한 수업 방법을 나타내는 도표(Table 1)를 제시하였다. 이 도표는 문제해결의 단계(5단계)적인 방법과 문제해결을 위해 敎師가 학생들에게 줄 수 있는 네 가지 종류의 助言(hints)으로 구성되어 있다.

Attempts for strengthening the relationship between general schooling and the world of work in Geramy can be traced back to the 18th century. Nowadays, vocational orientation ("Arbeitslehre") is a compulsory subject in the Short-course Secondary School: the Intermediate School (Realschule) offers courses oriented to general occupational fields and at Highschool the students can study some closer workrelated subjects by choice. In-company practices for students and teachers have been introduced. The closest linkage between learning and working is given in the dual system of vocational training, which combines vocational schooling and in-company training. As the whole, the concrete concepts applied vary between the 10 federal states because these are responsible for educational affairs and policies on their own.

과학 기술 대학에서 실시하고 있는 전문 교사 양성 과정은 산업 세계에 도전할 수 있는 보다 나은 자질을 학생들에게 구비해 주기 위하여 Project work 방법을 교과 과정의 기초로 삼고있다. 이 논문은 대학 수준의 교육에서 이러한 방법의 필요성을 위한 확실한 교육적·전문적 근거를 처음으로 넓은 범위에서 다루었다. 또한 단계적 접근 방법을 간단히 기술했는데 이 방법은 복잡한 Project work 업무를 수행하는 데 있어 필요한 사전 지식의 순차적 적용 방법도 학생들에게 제공하고 있다. 끝으로 본 교사 양성 과정에서 수업한 두 가지 예를 들었는데 두 가지 모두 공장 자동화에 관한 논제들이다. The instructor course at Korea Institute of Technology(KIT) considers project work as a cornerstone of its curriculum in order to prepare the students better for the challenges of the world of work. The presentation deals first and on a broader basis with the sound educational and professional reasons for this method in higher education. It then describes in brief a step-by-step approach which provides the students in a sequence of exercises with the necessary prerequisites for tackling the complex tasks of project work. Finally, two examples for working with projects in the instructor course are given, both related to topics of factory automation(Programmable Control Systems, Pneumatics) as acute cases of instruction.
