S.I. 엔진에서 S/B Ratio의 연비 효과에 대한 열역학적 분석

Stroke-to-Bore Ratio effect on fuel economy (thermal efficiency) of gasoline engine was thermodynamically analyzed in detail. 1D cycle simulation was used to investigate S/B Ratio effects in broad range. Combustion, in-cylinder flow and heat transfer characters of engines which S/B Ratio of 1.0 and 1.5 were compared. Displacement volume and compression ratio were kept same. Varying S/B Ratio, factors affecting thermal efficiency and its mechanisms were also investigated and listed. For S/B Ratio 0.8~1.6, BSFC change was studied in three different conditions – normal/high compression ratios and high dilution.
