The output characteristics on various rectification methods of X-ray equipments for the purpose of medical use are investigated by means of X-ray multimeter. in comparison the measured values with setting values, the accuracy of X-ray tube voltage and illumination time was varied in the range of +70% in case of three phase type including inverter type. The inverter type also showed a good reproducibility. As the experimental results, it is desirable that the inverter type X-ray equipment will be widely used in the near future.

In this study. a CAE techinique is developed in order to identify and optimize the characteristics of a heavy truck exhaust system. Under the given three loading conditions. the strength is investigated through static stress analysis along with parameter optimization. The dynamic performance is also evaluated by modal analysis. For the simplification and idealization of bellows in F. E. model. three ways of modeling techique are attempted and the results are compared.<br/>

<P>The present study investigated the antiobesity effect of <I>Achyranthes bidentata</I> Blume root water extract in a 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation model and rats fed with a high-fat diet. To investigate the effect of <I>Achyranthes bidentata</I> Blume on adipogenesis <I>in vitro</I>, differentiating 3T3-L1 cells in adipocyte-induction media were treated every two days with <I>Achyranthes bidentata</I> Blume at various concentrations (1 to 25 <I><I>μ</I></I>g/mL) for eight days. We found that <I>Achyranthes bidentata</I> Blume root inhibited 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation without affecting cell viability, and Western blot analysis revealed that phospho-Akt expression was markedly decreased, whereas there was no significant change in perilipin expression. Furthermore, administration of <I>Achyranthes bidentata</I> Blume root (0.5 g/kg body weight for six weeks) to rats fed with a high-fat diet significantly reduced body weight gain without affecting food intake, and the level of triglyceride was significantly decreased when compared to those in rats fed with only a high-fat diet. These results suggest that <I>Achyranthes bidentata</I> Blume root water extract could have a beneficial effect on inhibition of adipogenesis and controlling body weight in rats fed with a high-fat diet.</P>

Objectives The relationship between depression, obesity, life style of adolescents has been reported, but the results were not consistent. Thus this study was designed to find out the relationship. Methods The participants were the first and second grade middle school students. The participants were asked to measure their height and weight etc, and were asked to survey questionnaires. To diagnose the students' degree of depression, Children's Depression Inventory(CDI) by Kovas and Beck. Results The average depression score in the obese group was significantly higher than that of the normal body weight group. In addition, male obese group scored higher on CDI than the female obese group, and the obese group of participants who don't exercise, but like to play computer games and watch TV scored higher on CDI than the group who exercise and don't play computer games. Conclusions This study proved that depression in adolescent was closely related with obesity and obesity-related lifestyles. 전력계통의 지락사고에 대한 매트릭스형 초전도 한류기의 동작특성

전력 계통 내에서 발생하는 과도한 고장전류의 억제를 위한 가장 이상적인 방안은 초전도 한류기이다. 초전도 한류기의 전력계통 적용을 위해 본 논문에서는 전력계통 내에서 발생하는 1선, 2선, 3선 지락사고를 모의하여 매트릭스형 초전도 한류기의 동작 특성 및 소비전력을 분석하였다. 모든 지락사고에 대해 매트릭스형 초전도 한류기는 사고 초기에는 85[%] 이상, 1주기 이후에는 95[%] 이상 고장전류를 제한시킬 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 초전도 소자간의 임계특성의 차이를 줄여줌으로써 소비전력이 균등해진다는 것을 확인하였다. It is very important for power stability to suppress the excessive fault current happened frequently in the real power grid. The superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) is one of the most effective ways to reduce the fault current among the facilities developed so far. In this paper, we have investigated the operating characteristics of the power grid with the SFCL according to three types such as the single, double and triple line-to-ground faults. In addition, we analyzed the consumption power of the superconducting units based on the working data of the SFCL. We confirmed that the fault current could be limited lower than its peak value to 85 percentage in initial fault condition and to 95 percentage after one cycle in the matrix-type SFCL. The consumption powers of the superconducting units were almost equal by reduction of the difference of the critical current between superconducting units element.
감맥대조탕(甘麥大棗湯)이 적출 흰쥐 심장의 혈역학적(血力學的) 기능(機能)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objectives : In order to verify the cardiovascular hemodynamic function of Kammaegdaejo-tang, the experiment was performed in the rats. Methods : Twelve hearts removed from male Sparague-Dawley rats weighing between 250g and 300g were perfused by the Langendorff technique with modified 37 Krebs-Henseleit's buffer solution at a constant perfusion pressure. They were randomly assigned to one of two groups, supplied with either normal saline or Kammaegdaejotang administration. Heart rate, left ventricular pressure, +dp/dt maximum, -dp/dt maximum, and -dp/dt/ +dp/dt ratio were evaluated at baseline after the administration of either normal saline or Kammaegdaejotang. Results : Kammaegdaejotang made the heart rate increasing significantly (p<0.05). Kammaegdaejotang did not effectively work on left ventricular pressure of the isolated heart(p=0.11, no significance). The significant effects of Kammaegdaejotang were observed on +dp/dt max and -dp/dt max(p<0.05). Kammaegdaejotang did not effectively work on -dp/dt/ +dp/dt ratio(p=0.24, no significance).
