MCFC (molten carbonate fuel cell) power generation system is prime candidate for the utilization of fossil based fuels to generate ultra clean power with a high efficiency. In the MCFC power plant system, a combustor performs a role to supply high temperature mixture gases for cathode and heat for reformer by using the stack off-gas of the anode which includes a high concentration of H₂O and CO₂. Since a combustor needs to be operated in a very lean condition and to avoid excessive local heating, catalytic combustor is usually used. The catalytic combustion is accomplished by the catalytic chemical reaction between fuel and oxidizer at catalyst surface, different from conventional combustion. This experimental study presents the investigation on combustion characteristics of the model catalytic combustor(1㎾). Various effects on the performances of the catalytic combustor are observed, depending on the operating condition. Consequently, design point of combustor system is a fix on and try to scale up the catalyst combustor(25㎾).

The behavior of spray impinging on the inclined constant temperature flat plate was experimentally investigated. To clarify the wall effect of a high pressure DISI injector, a relative angle of the inclined wall to a spray axis was varied. Spray penetration along the wall was observed optically and it was compared with that of a Fan spray type and Swirl type spray. To evaluate various spray motion quantitatively, a spray path penetration which describe the development of a spray tip along the wall was newly introduced. To observe the structure of an impinging spray, it was visualized by a controlled stroboscope light and its visualized image was captured on an CCD camera. Using the digital image of impinging spray Hx and Rx was extracted to clarify the structure of impinging spray. The main parameter of the relative position of the wall was the inclined angle which was defined as the angle was varied from 0˚(vertical impingement) to 60° at the same condition.

In this study, a mathematical model for the prediction of internal flow and catalytic combustion characteristics in the catalytic combustor adopted in the MCFC power plant system is suggested by using the numerical methods. The numerical simulation models are then implemented into the commercial CFD code. After verifying result by comparing with the experimental data and calibrated kinetic parameters of catalytic combustion reaction, a numerical simulation is performed to investigate the variation of flow and combustion characteristics by changing such various parameters as inlet configuration and inlet temperature. The result show that the catalytic combustion can be effectively improved for most of the case by using the perforated plate and subsequent stable catalytic combustion is expected.

Hazardous particulate matters from off road diesel engine. In order to eliminate particulate matters in engine exhaust gas, we designed and developed a DPF system using burner. In this study, the active DPF system with a diesel burner is an attractive alternative because the regeneration of the filter at all engine condition could be possible. This study describes the development of the active DPF system using a diesel fuel burner regeneration considering the stability of flame region, high efficiency of the burner and control logic of the system. The engine bench tests are performed to verify these performances of the burner system.
Relevancy of Dominated Strategies in Long Run Equilibria

2×2 대칭 전략형 게임의 경우 매우 많은 내쉬 균형이 존재할 수 있음은 잘 알려져 있으며, 이 중 어떠한 균형이 상대적으로 중요한 의미를 지니고 있는지에 관한 연구는 심도있게 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 강전략 내쉬균형(strict Nash equilibrium)은 기존의 내쉬균형의 정치화로도 더 이상 예상가능성을 줄이기가 어렵다. 그러나 많은 경우, 다수의 강전략 내쉬균형이 존재할 수 있으며, 이러한 경우, 어떠한 내쉬 균형이 상대적으로 보다 많은 관찰될 수 있는가에 관한 이론은 Kandori-Mailath-Rob(1994)의 확률적 안정성(stochastic stability)의 개념이전에는 매우 드물다 할 수 있다. KMR에 의하면 위험우위적 내쉬균형(risk dominance Nash equilibrium)이 장기적으로 안정적이며, 이런 의미에서 장기균형이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 KMR의 관찰이 얼마나 일반적인 상황에서 성립하는가의 여부를 살펴보는 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 2×2 대칭게임에 강열등 전략을 추가하여 3×3게임으로 확장하는 경우, KMR의 주장이 성립하지 않음을 보인다. We re-examine the robustness of the KMR-mutational process(1994) for selecting Nash equilibria with respect to the manipulation of adding or eliminating dominated strategies. We show that any strict Nash equilibrium for a given normal form game can be selected as a unique long run equillibrium under the KMR-mutational process for the new game that is obtained from the given game by adding a strictly dominated strategy. In this sense, dominated strategies do matter in selecting long run equilibria even though they can never be one of such equilibria.
Evolutionarily Stable Correlation

Most results of evolutionary games are restricted only to the Nash equilibrium. In this paper, we introduce an analogue of the evolutionarily stable strategy (ESS) for correlated equilibria. We introduce a new concept―the evolutionarily stable correlation (ESC)―and prove that it generalizes the ESS. We also study analogues of perfection and properness for correlated equilibria and discuss their relationships with the ESC.
