        During an object-oriented software life cycle, software developers try to redesign existing components with minimal modifications on the class hierarchy so that components can be refined and reused easily. Numerous attempts have been made by researchers to show the algorithms and heuristics to produce "good" and "reusable" class organizations based on the inheritance hierarchy. In this paper, we propose the Simplified Class Hierarchy which characterizes "normalization" of reorganization of class hierarchy structures. And, we also present an algorithm which transforms a given class hierarchy into the simplified form. The simplified class hierarchy is helpful to us in a number of way: it is easier for the designer and programmer to find out which classes can be instantiated and which cannot. And, it helps us map the inheritance and aggregation paths in a class hierarchy to paths in an object hierarchy which is an instance of the class hierarchy. Finding all subclasses of a given class hierarchy is performed quickly. Adding or deleting attributes from objects as well as changing their representation is facilitated.
