This study focused on the hybrids of silica (or Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane (POSS)) based on inorganic nanoparticles and UV curable organic materials. We successfully synthesized silica nanoparticles and POSS synthesis & their surface modification with acrylate and thiol. It was found that the key parameters related to these silica nanoparticles diameter. Also, we designed and synthesized UV-curable polyurethane acrylates (PUAs) using some chemicals of poly tetramethylene ether glycol (PTMG), Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and biomass-derived isosorbide (ISB). Among these three-component, ISB contributes to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Especially isosorbide having rigid properties due to its bicyclic ether chemical structure was used as the hard segment, and PDMS with flexibility and heat resistance was used as the soft segment. Finally, we try to the hybrid of POSS containing acrylate, methyl methacrylate (MMA), thiol, and synthesized UV curable urethane acrylates via sonication with high-intensity power. Additionally, we investigated their inorganic-organic hybrid films properties such as surface hardness and transparency, etc.
