<P>Three new species of Crinipellis (Basidiomycota, Marasmiaceae), and one new variety of Moniliophthora are described from the Republic of Korea. Crinipellis birhizomorpha is characterized as having a short stipe arising from both substrate and rhizomorphs, and as forming rhizomorphs of two types, one forming abortive pilei; C. pallidipilus has golden brown, then distinctly pallescent pileus hairs, very long, hairy rhizomorphs of one type, and rather wide basidiospores in comparison with other species described here; and C. wandoensis has a brown to dark brown pileus, hairy rhizomorphs of one type, and both non-dextrinoid and slightly dextrinoid basidiospores. A new combination, Moniliophthora conchata is proposed. A new variety, Moniliophthora conchata var. brevispora differs from the type variety in having smaller basidiospores. Their detailed macro- and microscopic descriptions are given, and their taxonomic positions were confirmed using DNA studies. A key to the identification of Crinipellis and Moniliophthora taxa recorded in this country is also provided. </P>
Marasmioid and Gymnopoid Fungi of the Republic of Korea. 8. Gymnopus Section Levipedes
( Rhim Ryoo ),( Vladimír Antonín ),( Kang-hyeon Ka ) 한국균학회 2020 Mycobiology Vol.48 No.4
Collections of Gymnopus sect. Levipedes from the Republic of Korea have been studied. Two new species, Gymnopus dryophiloides and G. brunneodiscus, are described based on their macro- and micromorphological and phylogenetic characteristics. Three other species, referred to as Gymnopus spp. 1, 2, and 3, are distinguished as separate taxa without formal descriptions. Taxonomic and phylogenetic positions of all taxa have been inferred and confirmed by analyses of ITS and LSU sequence data. Their detailed descriptions, illustrations and an identification key are provided.

The development and design of novel functional and smart textile materials such as textile sensors and multicoloredsystems based on photochromic dyes necessitate controls of color intensities, switching speeds, and materialdurability. Precise control and synchronization of dye kinetics are important for multi-colored photochromic applicationsespecially. However, durability towards abrasion and washing should not be compromised on if we aim to design reliablefuture textile products. In this study, two different commercial photochromic dyes – a naphthopyran and a spirooxazine-baseddye – have been applied on PET fabric by inkjet printing and UV-LED curing. The photochromic textiles’ color behavior, fastness to abrasion and washing, and handle are evaluated using spectrophotometry, scanning electron microscopy, andKawabata evaluation system. Despite a decrease in color performance after washing, the photochromic inkjet print iseffective and barely influences the textile structure. Reduced rigidity of the host matrix promoted higher color yields andfaster dye kinetics, but also improved durability towards abrasion and washing. In order to synchronize kinetics of thedifferent dye types for multi-colored applications, distinct curing conditions are preferable, which, however, result in varyingprint durability. In the design of multi-colored photochromic textiles, dye kinetics, and durability have to be balanced.
Class and the Crisis of Higher Education in North America
Anton L. Allahar(Anton L. Allahar ),James E. Côté(James E. Côté ) 한국캐나다학회 2015 Asia-Pacific Journal of Canadian Studies (APJCS) Vol.21 No.1
A salient theme in the debate over the challenges facing the educational system concerns the failure to make the basic distinction between education, on the one hand, and training, on the other. The former speaks to the formation of well-rounded intellects in the tradition of the humanities and classical liberal studies, while the latter deals more narrowly with the technical and vocational aspects of acquiring specific job related skills. Thus, as Randal Collins notes, “most skills are-or can be-learned on the job so given the evidence that job skills of all sorts are actually acquired in the work situation rather than in a formal training institution” (1979:192-93), what needs to be stressed is the education of students as opposed to their training. This sentiment is captured by James Côté, and Anton Allahar (2011:14-16), who echo the earlier sentiments of Terry Wotherspoon, who states bluntly that: “Formal education is about much more than job training” (1998:133). Thus, if we are to address a key element in the crisis of higher education, we must all guard against the trend which sees universities being converted into pseudo-vocational institutions.

Taiwan’s Toxic Chemical Substances Control Act (TCSCA) was promulgated in 1986. To reflect subsequent changes in the regulatory environment, the Act was revised in 1989, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2007, and 2013. The most recent revision could be seen as the most significant, as it introduces and integrates the well-known European “Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals” (REACH) into the legislation’s provisions. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the TCSCA with particular focus on the law and actual practice with regard to information disclosure and access to information clauses.
An Exploratory Study of Living Place Changes at Old Age

For many resource-limited households, residential mobility is largely unplanned and unpredictable, and is often a result of factors including family stress and breakup, the inability to pay rent and bills, and poor or unsafe housing quality. In this study, we reviewed many reasons for residential mobility in later life. The relationship between residential mobility and tenure status has been identified in a number of studies. The findings suggest that residential mobility is negatively related to home ownership; subsequent mobility is much higher for renters than it is for those who own their homes. Dimensions of decision-making related to individual health and functioning, individual beliefs and attitudes, physical environment, and social pressures have applied relevance to other significant late-life decisions such as undergoing hip replacement surgery or relinquishing driving. In this study, framework decision described here instigated an environmental change to address physical body, internal expectations, and external pressures.
