In this paper, we obtain the approximate analytical bound-state solutions of the Dirac particlewith the generalized Yukawa potential within the framework of spin and pseudospin symmetries forthe arbitrary state with a generalized tensor interaction. The generalized parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used to obtain the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions inclosed form. We also report some numerical results and present figures to show the effect of thetensor interaction.
Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Klein-Gordon Equation with an Exponential-type Potential
Akpan N. IKOT,Hillary P. OBONG,Tamunoimi M. ABBEY,Joy D. OLISA 한국물리학회 2015 새물리 Vol.65 No.8
The approximate analytical bound and scattering state of the Klein-Gordon equation in Ddimensions for an arbitrary l-state for a seven-parameter exponential-type potential is presented. We obtain the bound-state solutions by using the supersymmetry quantum mechanics method, and the normalized wave function and the scattering phase-shift factors are determined by using the properties of the partial-wave analysis technique. Special cases of the seven-parameter exponentialtype potential are discussed in detail.
Cointegration,Causality and Wagner's Hypothesis:Time Series Evidence for Nigeria, 1970-2008
Usenobong F. Akpan 한양대학교 경제연구소 2011 JOURNAL OF ECONOMIC RESEARCH Vol.16 No.1
This paper examines the validity of Wagner’s Law of long-run causal relationship between national income and public expenditure for Nigeria over the period 1970-2008. Deploying modern advances in Econometric techniques, such as the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach to cointegration, vector error-correction method (VECM) and the standard Granger causality test, we found strong support forWagner’s longrun postulate of causal relationship from national income to public expenditure in Nigeria. However, we also found that there is a short run causal relationship running from public expenditure to national income in Nigeria, in validation of Keynesian theory. The policy implication of our findings is that public expenditure still remains a veritable short run instrument that could be utilized to stimulate economic growth in Nigeria, since national income does not explain short run changes in public expenditure in the country, except in the long run as Wagner’s Law suggests.
Environmental quality and economic growth: A panel analysis of the “U” in Kuznets
( Usenobong F. Akpan ),( Dominic E. Abang ) 한양대학교 경제연구소 2015 JOURNAL OF ECONOMIC RESEARCH Vol.20 No.3
The primary motivation behind this study was to search for evidence of the link between environmental quality and economic growth so as to answer the relevant question of whether economic growth alone could serve as a long-run solution to environmental damage as implied by the EKC hypothesis. Here we analyze the relationship using a panel of 47 countries over the period 1970 -2008. Using Random-effect estimation and two-stage least squares, our results lead to the following conclusions: relying on a quadratic model can easily mislead researchers to ratify the existence of EKC; the EKC hypothesis ceased to hold whenever an alternative functional form (cubic) is employed. At best, the relationship between economic growth and environmental quality is shown to be typified by an N-shaped curve. The paper maintains that simply waiting for an automatic arrival of a delinking point for environmental damage given long-run growth will not be a feasible solution to environmental quality. Proactive policies and measures are required to mitigate the problem.

In our study, the improved version of the deformed exponential-type potential energy model is reported for different diatomic molecules. The effectiveness of the improved deformed exponential-type potential is tested by simulating the inter-nuclear interaction potential curves for the state of, state of, state of and state of molecules.
Relativistic Symmetries in the Dirac Equation for an Eight-parameter Exponential-type Potential
H. P. OBONG,Akpan Ndem IKOT,I. O. OWATE,Hassan HASSANABADI 한국물리학회 2016 새물리 Vol.66 No.2
Applying the Pekeris approximation to the centrifugal term, we investigated the spin and pseudospin symmetric solutions of the Dirac equation for $an$ eight-parameter exponential-type potential with a Coulomb-like tensor interaction. The energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding eigenfunction are obtained using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The effects of the Coulomb tensor interaction are investigated numerically.

In this paper, we study the Dirac equation with a multiparameter exponential-type potentialincluding two tensor interactions. We obtain the energy eigenvalues by using the Nikiforov-Uvarovmethod. The corresponding wave functions are obtained and expressed in terms of hypergeometricfunctions. The effects of the Coulomb and the Yukawa tensor interactions are also investigatednumerically and discussed in detail.
