      • 선형 함수를 적용한 이동 객체의 위치정보 관리 시스템

        이동 객체 관리 시스템은 시간에 따라 위치가 변경되는 시공간 데이터를 관리하며 차량 추적 시스템, 디지털 전장, 위치 기반 서비스 등에 적용된다. 기존의 이동 객체 관리 시스템은 이동 객체의 과거 및 미래의 위치정보를 동시에 관리하지 못하며, 과거 및 미래의 위치를 추정하지 못한다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 이동 객체의 이력 정보를 관리할 뿐만 아니라, 동일한 데이터베이스에 저장된 이력정보를 이용한 이동 객체의 과거 및 미래의 위치 추정이 가능한 이동 객체의 위치정보 관리 시스템을 제안한다. 아울러 제안 시스템을 차량 추적의 응용 시나리오에 적용하여 구현 및 실험한 결과를 보인다. Moving object management systems manage spatiotemporal data, which change their location over time. These moving object management systems can be applied to vehicle tracking system, digital battlefield, location-based service, and so on. The existing moving object management systems cannot manage the past and the future location of the moving objects simultaneously, also cannot predict uncertain past or future location. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a location management system of the moving objects, which not only manages historical data of the moving objects, but also predicts the past and the future location of the moving objects using the historical data stored in database. Also, we apply the proposal system to an application scenario of vehicle tracking and show the results of implementation and experimentation.

        To examine completion degree amongst gymnasts from different countries and bonus points acquired by the gymnasts from degree of difficulty based on flow of movements, this study compares gymnasts starting points and acquired points in four different competitions (the long horse, the parallel bars, the balance beam, the floor exercise) among the gymnasts from South Korea, China, Japan, and North Korea, who participated in the Busan Asian Games 2002. The results of this study are as follow: 1. North Korean gymnasts acquired high points in the long horse and the parallel bars, while Chinese gymnasts showed their strength in the balance beam and the floor exercise. Despite the relative higher points acquired in the balance beam and the floor exercise than North Korean gymnasts, South Korean team showed its weakness in long horse and the parallel bars. 2. In the bonus points acquired from flow of movement, Chinese team scored the highest while South Korean team scored the lowest. 3. In comparing the starting points and acquired points among the four competitions, little variations were shown among gymnasts from China Japan. However the variations were high among gymnasts from South and North Korea. 4. North Korean team showed a highest average score in the difference between starting points and acquired points in four competitions. A few suggestions can be made in order to improve the performance of Korean gymnasts based on the analysis of this study. The statistically low scores in bonus points acquired in flow of movements indicate that there is a room for improvements in developing new techniques and higher degree of difficulty movements. While South Korean gymnasts have equal capability in technical aspects in comparison with Japanese gymnasts, they showed higher degree of difference in starting points and final score. This difference indicates that more practice should be concentrated on mastering the movements to improve the degree of completion. With focused exercises and experiences gained from various International games, good performance by Korean gymnasts can be expected in the upcoming international events, as well as in the 2004 Olympics in Greece.

        In this paper, we implement a GUI which transmits real-time production information by PDA in the production information system for an auto-component company. The implemented system is composed of data input interface, data transmission module, data conversion module, and data store module. We use embedded VC++ for PDA client program and Java for PC server program in the proposed system.

        Moving Object Management System for Battlefield Simulation

        A battlefield simulation is the evaluation and analysis of the battlefield area, based on the data for terrain, climate, unit`s maneuver and tactics basically required in battlefield simulation. Because it is difficult for the military authorities to collect all of the information perfectly for the reason of communication technology, jamming, and tactics, the military authorities need the future moving status for the target units by using acquired moving information. Therefore, we propose a moving object management system that concurrently provides domain reasoning function for the battlefield simulation. In order to implement the proposed system, we show the data modeling of the moving object for the battlefield simulation, and propose an inference engine using domain rule base and spatiotemporal operation. Also, we analyze the query response rate by inference function to verify domain reasoning of the implemented system.

        Reappraisal of the Immunogenicity and Safety of Three Hepatitis A Vaccines in Adolescents

        <P>Although the overall incidence of hepatitis A in Korea has been decreasing, adolescents remain highly vulnerable to its outbreaks. This study was conducted to compare the immunogenicity and safety of three hepatitis A vaccines in Korean adolescents. Healthy anti-hepatitis A virus seronegative subjects aged 13 to 19 yr were randomized in three equal groups to receive two doses of Avaxim™, Epaxal®, or Havrix®, 6 to 12 months apart. Seroconversion rates one month after the first dose were 98%, 95%, and 93% for Avaxim™, Epaxal®, and Havrix®, respectively. Seroconversion rates reached 100% for all vaccine groups one month after the second dose. Anti-HAV geometric mean concentrations (GMCs) were 7,207.7 mIU/mL (95% CI, 6023.1-8684.7), 1,750.5 mIU/mL (95% CI, 1362.9-2248.3), and 1,953.5 mIU/mL (95% CI, 1459.4-2614.7) after two doses of Avaxim™, Epaxal®, and Havrix® respectively. Avaxim™ was significantly more immunogenic than Epaxal® and Havrix®, whereas there were no significant differences in antibody responses between Epaxal® and Havrix®. Local and systemic solicited adverse events (AEs) were mostly of mild-to-moderate intensity and resolved within 5 days. No serious AEs were reported. In conclusion, all three vaccines are highly immunogenic and well-tolerated in Korean adolescents. (Clinical Trial Registry NCT00483470)</P>
