KEMAL TAHİR is on the special place in the Turkey cultural society. KEMAL TAHİR basically has socialistic point of view and prefers secularism. Acting like socialist or marxist, he is considered as the defender of the Ottoman Empire and the writer, the theorist to be researched attentively. According to KEMAL TAHİR, westernization gives so many things to the Turkish arts, but also gives big damages, because westernization makes Turkey two seperate society. “Westernization is useful when we bring what we don’t know, but we accept it, throwing our national knowledge. KEMAL TAHİR discuss the West and the East by the depress and the justice. He defines the West as the center of depression and exploitation, also defines the Eastern culture as humanity, justice, true humanism. KEMAL TAHİR says that the Eastern society will lose all the national characteristics aiming at the westernization. With the westernizatio, now the nation will conflict with its character and historical development.
