This study was performed to design and to construct a digital soil cone index(CI) measuring device replacing conventional analog type devices. The device developed in the study consisted of a load cell, a rotary encoder and a motor with a decelerator as its main parts. The cone speed was controlled lower than 3.0 m/s which keeps the standard suggested by the ASABE S313.3 specification. The experiment was conducted in a soil bin system as well as in various fields. The CI data measured by the developed device were compared with those by an existing measurement device(SC900, Spectrum, USA). Based on the experiments at various field conditions, the CI measuring characteristic of the device was quite similar to that of the conventional device within a acceptable R(2) range of more than 0.5(mean=0.76). It was concluded that the digital cone index measuring device was an effective and comprehensive sensor for measuring soil strength.
저온 성장 AlN 층이 삽입된 Al<sub>0.55</sub>Ga<sub>0.45</sub>N/AlN/GaN 이종접합 구조의 구조적 특성 및 이차원 전자가스의 광학적 특성

저온에서 성장된 AlN (LT-AlN)층이 삽입된 $Al_xGa_{1-x}N/LT$-AlN/GaN 이종접합 구조를 금속유기 화학기상 증착법 (metal-organic chemical vapor deposition)을 사용하여 사파이어 기판 위에 제작하였다. Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy 실험을 통하여 $Al_xGa_{1-x}N$층의 Al의 조성비 x가 55% 임을 확인하였고, X-선 역격자 공간 mapping을 통하여 층간 변형력을 조사하였다. LT-AlN층의 삽입 여하에 따른 $Al_{0.55}Ga_{0.45}N$ 층의 깨짐 현상을 광학현미경과 주사전자현미경을 통하여 조사하였는데, LT-AlN 층이 삽입된 시료의 경우에 깨짐 현상이 현저히 줄어든 $Al_{0.55}Ga_{0.45}N$ 층을 얻을 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 LT-AlN 층이 삽입된 $Al_{0.55}Ga_{0.45}N$/LT-AlN/GaN 이종접합 구조에 대하여 이차원 전자가스 (two-dimensional electron gas, 2DEG) 관련된 photoluminescence (PL) 신호를 관찰하였다. 이 시료에 대하여 온도 변화에 따른 PL 실험을 수행하여 100 K 근방까지 2DEG 관련된 PL 신호를 관찰하였다. 여기광 세기에 따른 PL 실험을 통하여 ~3.411 eV에서 나타난 2DEG PL 신호와 함께 ${\sim}3.437eV$에서도 PL 신호가 관측되었는데, 이는 AlGaN/LT-AlN/GaN 계면에 형성된 2DEG 버금띠와 Fermi 에너지 준위에서의 재결합 특성으로 각각 해석되었다. We have investigated the characteristics of $Al_{0.55}Ga_{0.45}N$/GaN heterostructures with and without low-temperature (LT) AlN interlayer grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition. The structural and optical properties were systematically studied by Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscopy (OMS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and photoluminescence (PL). The Al content (x) of 55% and the structural properties of $Al_xGa_{1-x}N$/GaN heterostructures were investigated by using RBS and XRD, respectively. We carried out OMS and SEM experiments and obtained a decrease of the crack network in $Al_{0.55}Ga_{0.45}N$ layer with LT-AlN interlayer. A two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG)-related PL peak located at ${\sim}3.437eV$ was observed at 10 K for $Al_{0.55}Ga_{0.45}N$/GaN with LT-AlN interlayer. The 2DEG-related emission intensity gradually decreased with increasing temperature and disappeared at temperatures around 100 K. In addition, with increasing the excitation power above 3.0 mW, two 2DEG-related PL peaks were observed at ${\sim}3.411$ and ${\sim}3.437eV$. The observed lower-energy and higher-energy side 2DEG peaks were attributed to the transitions from the sub-band level and the Fermi energy level of 2DEG at the AlGaN/LT-AlN/GaN heterointerface, respectively.
산란계에 오염된 방사성동위원소의 난 및 분중에서의 흡수 배설에 관한 실험적 연구

This experiment was carried out in order to study the transference of the radioactive materials into eggs of laying hens. Eggs were taken as the samples first at ¾ day after injection of seven radioisotope (^(85+89)Sr, ^(45)Ca, ^(24)Na, ^(32)P, ^(35)S, ^(131)I and ^(55+59)Fe) in dose of 80 μci. to the thigh muscle of laying hens of each experimental group respectively and then i day interval. They were devided into 3 parts: egg yolk, egg white and egg shell, and their feces were taken at the same. Uptake rate of the radioisotopes into the 3 parts of eggs and release rate in feces were investigated. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Uptake rates of the radioisotopes into the egg yolk were the lowest at ¾ day after injection and were the highest at different time (^(24)Na: 2 ¾ days, ^(45)Ca: 4 ¾ days, ^(32)P: 3 ¾ days, ^(85+89)Sr and ^(35)S: 5 ¾ days, ^(55+59)Fe: 6 ¾ days) and thereafter decreased gradually, showing the significance with P$lt;0.01 in process of time. 2. Uptake rates into the egg white were the highest in the early stages: ^(131)I at ¾ day, ^(35)S and ^(24)Na at 1 ¾ day, ^(45)Ca and ^(85+89)Sr at 2 ¾ days, ^(55+59)Fe and ^(32)P at 3 ¾ days, and then decreased significantly (P$lt;0.01). 3. Uptake rate of ss+seFe into the egg shell were the highest at 2 ¾ days and the others at ¾ day, and showed the decreasing significance with P$lt;0.01. 4. Release rates of ^(32)P and ^(55+59)Fe into the feces were the highest 1 ¾ day and the others at ¾ day, and then decreased significantly(P$lt;0.01) as the time elapses. 5. The transference rates of the radioisotopes into eggs of laying hens showed a tendency to be in direct proportion to their half life. The transference of ^(24)Na was insignificant about 6 days after injection and that of the others were ended about 10 days. The transference rate of ^(24)Na was high into the egg white and that of ^(55+59)Fe into the egg yolk only, being insignificant into the other parts.
하수체척출 암흰쥐에 있어서 Hexestrol 의 투여가 부신에 미치는 영향

To ascertain whether ovary affects directly on the function of adrenal gland without the cooperation of hypophysis, rats were hypophysectomized and weight of adrenal gland, thickness of various zona of adrenal gland and histopathological changes were compared with those of control group during the period from 1 to 56 days. The results were summarized as follows; 1. No significant difference of adrenal gland weight was observed between hypophysectomized group and hypophysectomized and hexestrol administered group, but the adrenal gland weight of both experimental groups reduced consistently after hypophysectomy and high significant difference (P$lt;0.01) was observed compared with normal group from 7th day. 2. No significant alternation of the proportional size of adrenal zona was observed between hypophysectomized group and hypophysectomized and hexestrol administered group, but the marked atrophy of zona fasciculata and reticularis of both groups were found, and it showed significant difference (P$lt;0.05) from 7th day and high significant difference (P$lt;0.01) from 14th day whereas no difference of zona glomerulesa was observed between compared groups. 3. There was no difference of histopathological changes of gonad between hypophysectomized group and hypophysectomized and hexestrol administered group, but no atrophy of zona fasciculata and reticularis was found in experimental groups whereas zona glomerulesa and adrenal medulla was not altered compared with these of control group. These results indicate that ovary does not affect directly on the development of adrenal gland, but cooperate with the hypophysis.

This study was conducted to investigate the applicability of true model theory for pull prediction in a powered lugged wheel-soil system and to examine the possibility of using principles of similitude in investigating the dimensions of soil parameters pertinent to a powered lugged wheel-soil system concerning the pull prediction. The following conclusions were derived from the study; 1) The pull of prototype wheels proved to be predicted by those of the model wheels for the range of the dynamic weight tested. The pull curves of models and prototype were respectively very similar in the shape. From this basic knowledge, it was enabled to apply the similitude theory to the performance prediction of the true model. 2) A conditional equation which can be used for the prediction of pull of prototype by model test was derived as follows. $n_f=n_1^{-b}$ where $n_f$ : force scale = $w/w_m$ $n_1$ : length scale = ${\ell}/{\ell}_m$ b : exponent on the length dimension of the soil property ${\alpha}$ The range of the numerical value of b, which was determined by the least square method, was found to be -2.0~-2.6. 3) Considering a relatively wide variation of b values in the pull prediction, b is considered to be a function of many variales. Thus it was concluded that there are several soil properties which are pertinent to the powered lugged-wheel-soil system concerning the pull prediction, and these soil properties may have the different effects on the pull of model and protytype wheels, to give the different dimension on the soil parameters.
