        辛夷散에 의한 아나필락시 反應의 抑制에 관한 硏究

        Shinisan has been used for treatment of allergic disease in Oriental Medicine. However, its effect in experimental models remains unknown. The mast cell plays a pivotal role in initiating allergic response by secreting intracytoplasmic granular mediators such as histamine. The present report describes an inhibitory effect of Shinisan on mast cell-mediated immediate type allergic reactions. Topical application of compound 48/80 can induce an ear swelling response in normal ($WBB6F_1-+/+$) mice but not in the congenic mast cell-deficient $WBB6F_1-W/W^v$ mice. Shinisan inhibited concentration-dependently mast cell-dependent ear swelling response induced by compound 48/80. Shinisan inhibited concentration-dependently passive cutaneous anaphylaxis induced by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE in rats by topical application. Shinisan also inhibited concentration-dependently the histamine release from the rat peritoneal mast cells by compound 48/80 or anti-DNP IgE. Moreover, Shinisan had a significant inhibitory effect on compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic reaction. These results indicate that Shinisan inhibits immediate-type allergic reactions by inhibition of mast cell degranulation in vivo and in vitro.

        알레르기성 鼻炎 患者에 對한 臨床的 考察

        The author analyzed 46 cases of allergic rhinitis patients, who were treated in the Kwang-ju Oriental Medical Hospital of Wonkwang University from January 1997 to April 1996. I've examined the 46 cases in the view of age and sex distribution, seasonal distribution, distribution of the job, duration of the disease, past history, family history, distribution of complicated signs, the degree of recovery about the total patient, the relationship of the ages and the remedial value, the relationship of the duration of disease and the remedial value. The following results are obtained. 1. The ratio of under teenagers was $32.61\%$(15 cases), teenagers was $30.43\%$(11 cases), 2th decade was $17.39\%$(8 cases), 3th decade was $17.39\%$(8 cases), 4th decade was $4.35\%$(2 cases), 5th decade was $2.17\%$(1 case), over sixty was $2.17\%$(1 case). 2. The ratio of the male was $58.70\%$(27 cases) and femal was $41.30\%$(19 cases). 3. The ratio of spring was $21.74\%$(10 cases), summer was $8.70\%$(4 cases), fall was $43.48\%$(20 cases), winter was $43.48\%$(20 cases) and unknown was $10.87\%$(5 cases). 4. The ratio of the students was $45.65\%$(21 cases), house-wives was $15.22\%$(7 cases), office men was $10.87\%$(5 cases), farmers was $4.35\%$(2 cases), driver was $2.17\%$(1 case) and unemployed was $21.74\%$(10 cases). 5. The ratio of the under six months was $8.70\%$(4 cases), under 1 year was $17.39\%$(8 cases), under 3 years was $32.60\%$(15 cases), over 3 years was $41.31\%$(19 cases). 6. The ratio of atopic dermatitis was $32.61\%$(15 cases), allergic dermatitis was $21,74\%$(10 cases), the asthma was $17.39\%$(8 cases), digestion disorder was $6.52\%$(3 cases) and etc. 7. The ratio of paternal line was $21.74\%$(10 cases), maternal line was $13.04\%$(6 cases), paternal and maternal lines was $4.35\%$(2 cases), brother or sisters was $13.04\%$(6 cases) and non-significant was $47.83\%$(22 cases). 8. The ratio of sneezing was $100\%$(46 cases) , nasal discharge was $100\%$(46 cases), nasal obstruction was $86.96\%$(40 cases), pruritus was $45.65\%$(21 cases), headache was $13.04\%$(6 cases), asthma was $10.87\%$(5 cases), digestion disorder was $6.52\%$(3 cases), light phovia was $6.52\%$(3 cases), tears was $4.35\%$(2 cases), nosebreeding was $2.17\%$(1 case). 9. The total remedial value of the 46 patients was revealed $52.17\%$. 10. The remedial value of under teenagers, teenagers were higher than the total remedial value($52.17\%$). 11. The remedial value of under 6 months, under 1 year were higher than the total remedial value($52.17\%$). These results demonstrated that in the point of remedial view, the patients who were younger and shorter of the duration of disease, would be well recovered.

        難聽의 原因, 症狀, 治法에 對한 硏究;中醫雜誌를 中心으로

        This is the study on causes and remedies of hearing disturbance in chinese medical journals(1991-1993). The results were as follows. 1. The causes of sudden deafness(突發性耳聾) were usually fire in the liver(肝火).phlegmatic fire(痰火), deficiency of the vital function and essence of the kidney(腎虛), blood stasis or sludge due to stagnation of vital energy stagnation(氣滯血瘀). Remove endogenous heat or fire method(淸瀉火熱法). circulation of phlegm and dampness(運化痰濕). using tonics to cure disease due to deficiency of vital essence of both the liver and the kidney(滋補肝腎) were used for each treatment. 2.The causes of menieres disease were usually mental disturbance due to phlegmatit fire(痰化上搖). dampness-phlegm long standing(痰濕內停), water-dampness retention(水濕停滯), Method of remove heat and circulation phlegm(淸熱化痰法), method of remove water and dampness(利水渗濕法), invigorate function of the spleen and circulation of dampness method(健脾化濕法) were used for each treatment. 3. The causes of toxico-deafness(中毒性 耳聾) were usually heart, liver and kidney functional weakness(心肝腎虛), vital essence and blood weakness(氣血虛弱). Remove obstruction in the flow and circulation phlegm(通窮化痰), reinforce vital energy and tonify blood (補氣活血), using tonics to cure disease due to deficiency of vital essence of both the liver and the kidney(滋補肝腎) were used for each treatment. 4. The causes of deafness (耳聾), tinitus(耳鳴) were usually mental disturbance due to wind and heat(風熱上搖). flaming up of excessive heat of the liver(肝火上亢). exhaustion seat of reproductive essence in kidney(腎精虧虛). Remove endogenous heat and disperse wind(淸熱疏風). remove the fire of liver(淸肝瀉火), through nourish kidney check exuberance of yang(滋腎潛陽), nourish kidney yang(補腎陽). replenish vital energy and improve essential substance(益精血), blood activate for treatment of blood stasis(活血化瘀) were used for each treatment. 5. The effects of mainly used drugs were classified into method of water and dampness remove medicine(利水渗濕藥), nourishing liver and kidney medicine(補肝腎藥), improve blood and vital energy activate medicine(活血行氣藥), through nourish yan medicine check exuberance of yang(滋陰潛陽藥).

        龍膽瀉肝湯의 抗바이러스 活性 및 免疫反應에 對한 實驗的 考察

        During the last few years, nitric oxide(NO) as a potent macrophage-derived effector molecule against a variety of bacteria, parasites, and tumors has received increasing attention. More recent studies suggest that NO also has antiviral effects in both murine and human cells. The objective of the current study was to determine the effect of Yongdamsagantang(YST) on the production of NO. Stimulation of mouse peritoneal macrophages with YST after the treatment of recombinant $interferon-{\gammer}(rlFN-{\gammer})$ resulted in the increased NO synthesis. YST had no effect on NO synthesis by itself. When YST was used in combination with $rIFN-{\gammer}$, there was a marked cooperative induction of NO synthesis in a dose-dependent manner. The optimal effect of YST on NO synthesis was shown 6 hour after treatment with $rIFN-{\gammer}$. This increase in NO synthesis was reflected as increased amount of inducible NO synthase(iNOS) protein. NO production was inhibited by $N^G-monomethyl-L-arginine$. The increased production of NO from $rIFN-{\gammer}$ plus YST-stimulated cells was decreased by the treatment with staurosporin. In addition, synergy between $rIFN-{\gammer}$ and YST was mainly dependent on YST-induced tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}(TNF-{\alpha})$ secretion. These results suggest that the capacity of YST to increase NO production from $rIFN-{\alpha}-primed$ mouse peritoneal macrophages is the result of YST-induced $TNF-{\alpha}$ secretion.

        金元四大家의 眼病治療法에 關한 文獻的 硏究

        This is a literature Study on ophthalmologic disease remedies of the four famous physicians in Jin Yuan period. The results were as follows: 1. Yu Wan So regarded the cause of ophthalmologic disease as the wind and heat(風熱), the blood deficiency(血少), or the deficiency of vital function and essence ,of the kidney(腎氣虛). For each treatment he used the method to remove wind and heat(除風散熱), the tranquillizing and tonifying method to nourish the heart and to relieve mental strain due to dificiency of vital essence(養血安神). the method to nourish Yin in the kidney(補腎水). The important nature of the these medicines is bitter and cold. 2. Jang Jong Jeung regarded the cause of ophthalmologic disease as the blood excess(血太過). or the blood deficiency(血不及). or the fire and heat(火熱). For each treatment he used the method to extract blood(出血療法). the method to nourish the liver and the kidney(補肝腎療法). or the method of vomiting and diarrhea(吐不法). The medicines are usuallly classified into external treatment medicines(外用藥). medicines to disintegrate mass(破積聚藥). purgating medicines(攻下藥). 3. Lee Dong Won regarded the cause of ophthalmologic disease as the spleen and the stomach weakness(脾胃虛弱), excessive fire in the heart(心火太盛). For each treatment he used the method to tranquillize the spleen and the stomach (調理脾胃). the tranquillizing and tonifying method to nourish the heart and to relieve mental strain due to deficiency of vital essence(養血安神). 4. Ju Dan Gye regarded the cause of ophthalmologic disease as the wind and heat(風熱). the blood deficiency(血少). the mental exhaustion(神勞). the kidney weakness(腎弱). For each treatment he used the method to remove wind and heat(除風散熱), the method to nourish blood and yin water(養血補水), the method to relieve mental strain and to remove spiritual heat(安腎瀉神火). the method to nourish yin water(養陰水). These drugs are usually classified into the medicines to remove endogenous heat(淸熱藥). the medicines to nourish yin(補陰藥).

        升麻葛根湯加味方이 마우스의 抗 ALLERGY 및 免疫反應에 미치는 影響

        Seungmagalgeuntang-gamibang has long been known to have anti-allergic effect. However, the mechanism of action of Seungmagalgeuntang-gamibang is not well investigated. The author analysed the effects of Seungmagalgeuntang-gamibang on the vascular permeability, delayed-type and contact hypersensitivities, and phagocytic function, the results obtained are as follows: 1. Administration of Seungmagalgeungtang-gamibang decreased the vascular permeability induced by serotonin in the mouse. 2. Administration of Seungmagalgeuntang-gamibang decreased the vascular permeability induced by histamine without statistical significant. 3. Administration of Seungmagalgeuntang-gamibang decreased the delayed-type hypersensitivity induced by sheep red blood cells. 4. Administration of Seungmagalgeungtang-gamibang decreased the contact hypersensitivity induced by dinitrochlorobenzene. 5. Seungmagalgeungtang-gamibang increased the phagocytic-activities of macrophages in vitro and in vivo. 6. Seungmagalgeungtang-gamibang enhanced the formation of reactive oxygen intermediates in vitro and in vivo. The above results demonstrate that Seungmagalgeuntang-gamibang suppresses the hypersensitivity reactions with increasing the phagocytic functions and formations of reactive oxygen intermediates from macrophages.
