Adhesive bond joints are available for structural applications as understanding of adhesive bonding which has been improved. After adhesive materials are decided, the design of adhesive bonding joints is mainly focused on shape, dimension and surface treatment of joints. ill the design of single-lap joints lap length, thickness of adherend materials and surface treatment should be decided, these parameters have an main influence on strength of adhesive bonding joints. This study explains that surface treatment affects strength of Al/Polymer single-lap joints and loading speed affects adhesive strength design.
