The purpose of this study is to improve the guidebooks for experiments of revised science textbook for the second year of middle school (specially about the field of physics), to apply it to research-experimental learning, and to show the degree that they contribute to the inquiry abili-ty of students. The students selected for this study were the second year in Chillgok ``S`` Middle School. They were divided into the experimental group(one) and comparative group.(one class). For this study, the experimental items were chosen after analyzing the five kind of science textbooks for the second year. The guidebooks for the experiments of these chosen experimental items were developed. The author gave lessons to the students of experimental group with using the developed guidebooks for experiments, while the students in the comparative group were instructed in the old ways. The equal progress of class, contents of class, teacher, contexts, scope of evaluation and the equal method of evaluation were used for the quality of the respective groups. As rating scale and CR certification were used for the average of result of that evaluation. The guide-books for experiments developed by this study contributed to elevating the inner mo-tive for learning of students, or the interest and self-confidence about science class, and the de-velopment of inquiry ability. This is the consecutive study of development of evaluation items for inquiry Learning of middle school science (Ⅰ) and (Ⅱ) which were conducted to improve the Evaluation methods for inquiry learning in the middle school science education by the Science Education Research Institute, K. N. U. during the year 1983-1985. In this atudy, we developed evaluation I tems of scientific laboratory learning In the3rd grade middle school science according to the methods of previous studies. Evaluation i tems were made by the paper and pencil test items and performance test Items. Application of these items were carried on in the 5 classes of 3rd grade of Middle school. The paper and pencil test was conducted after study of wxperimental And observational learning, and performance test was conducted by tester evaluation, Peer evaluation and self ecaluation. The results obtained from the analysis of paper and pencil test I tems show that The validity of the items aer considerd as the most effective in practicing students` Scientific inquiry skills dur to ite, diffculty (70 to 85) and item discrimination considered more desiracle than peer and self evaluations, but peer and silf evalua-tions make possible the perfect learning by feedback. Therefore, skill of the inquiry abilities in experimental and observational learning can be evaluated correctly through the performance test.
PIN Diode 검출기에 의한 PEIPS의 Plasma Current Sheet 분석

Average speeds of the plasma current sheets ploughing up in the 20 KJ plasma focus device, PFIPS(Plasma Focus with Inverse Pinch Switch), are measured with PIN diodes. The measured speeds are in agreement with theoretical ones founded on the snowplow model, and are in best agreement with the modified in this study. The average speed range of the current sheets in the device operating at 9-17 kV of applied voltage and 0.1-10.0 torr of gas(H2,He, Ar) pressure is 1*10~5*10cm/sec. Measurements also show that more efficient pinch of the plasma sheet for the lighter gas.
플라즈마 콘파인멘트를 위한 스페레타磁場構造의 調査에 關한 硏究

Spherator fields are used as a kind of magnetic field of toroidal system for plasma confinement in this experiment. Spherator fields have several merits such as ease of field production, having axisymmetric field and having long confining time. Field structures of spherators are calculated by computor, and each calculated feld structure well coincides with the plasma shape confined in the same magnetic surface as calculated one. The existence of rotational transform in this spherator is also observed, and plasma shapes coincide well with the calculated rational number of the magnetic surface. A method to investigate the error field by a current feeder to the internal ring of a spherator is also sought by observation and measurement of plasma in the field.

It is investigated that the relations between the movable regions of a charged-particle in several bi-cusp field configurations, and the status (energy and momentum) of the particle are intimate. Bi-cusp fields calculated by the method of near axis expansion in a cylindrical coordinate system are consistent with strictly calculated field configurations by a computor within r=4cm region in our device (radius; 7.5cm, space between each coil; 8.5cm). The topological form of the movable region is depend not only on the status (energy; ø_0, momentum; P_θ) of a particle, but also on the structure of the field (field structure parameter; L). It is shown that the greater the energy of a particle, the more expansion the movable region of the particle near the center of the field. It is also shown that the greater the momentum of the particle, the more shift to the radius direction of the movable region. Both side z-directional movable regions from the coordinate origin on the axis tend to separate when the field structure parameter (L) is small.
