The effect of titanium addition on the deoxidation and denitrogenization of stainless steel was studied by laboratory scale experiments using a 50㎏ induction furnace at 1600℃. The equilibrium dissolved oxygen content in 18%Cr-8%Ni steel containing titanium concentration between 0.1 and 0.35wt.% is in the ranges from 35 to 40 ppm in agreement with the measured values. The deoxidation products formed in liquid steel were identified as TiO and TiO₂ at the Ti concentration between 0.15 and 0.25wt.%. These oxides were found to have spherical shape of single phase with the size less than 3㎛. Titanium nitridue(TiN) of hexagonal shape was formed mainly as clusters. The top slag treatment of CaO-Al₂O₃ was found to be superior to the 100%CaO treatment in removing titanium oxides and nitrides out of the melt.

Most of interactive multimedia contents proved to be effective auxiliary tools for virtual education on the worldwide web. We have to note that this valid under the assumption that the multimedia contents are well-designed and well-managed. But, the simple and/or tedious webpages which consist of only text/image-based learning materials have made the lowering of educational efficiency on the worldwide web. The predominantly one-way nature of the media used in planning and preparation of learning materials results in little or no student-to-student and student-to-teacher communication. This lack of interaction leads to students' feeling isolated. Thus, the objective of this paper is to develop several JAVA applets for understanding the principles of digital logic systems. The results of this paper can be widely used to improve the efficiency of lectures which were given to the learners in the cyber university.

The worldwide web provides new opportunities for distributing all learning materials over the internet. The web, when combined with other network tools, can be used to provide useful educational information to learners. Thus, according to this recent trends this paper presents a web-based professor-oriented homepage authoring tool which can be creating efficiencies in the learning process. Informative and unified homepage for professors can be made and updated very easily. The process of making a homepage is to fill in the appropriate textfields with useful learning materials. The results of this paper are to allow the implementation of well-designed websites, and are also expected to make a contribution to the activation internet-based educational systems.
비주얼베이직 컨트롤을 이용한 단순화된 디지털 회로 시뮬레이터의 구현

Recently, internet applications for efficient cyber education have drawn much interests. The worldwide web provides new opportunities for cyber education over the internet. By using internet students can access the educational resources easily and learning process can be monitored. The proposed web-based simulator provides the improved learning methods which can enhance the educational efficiency in engineering experiments. Under the web circumstances, the students can simulate several digital logic circuits on the web under specific input conditons. The simulator can be designed to be executed by simple mouse clicks. Several simulation procedures are illustrated as examples.
