        OTR 필름 종류가 왕고들빼기 어린잎 채소의 MA 저장 중 품질에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 OTR 필름 종류가 왕고들빼기 어린잎 채소의 MA (modified atmosphere) 저장 중 품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 수행하였다. 플라스틱하우스에서 4주간 재배한 초장 10 cm 내외의 왕고들빼기 어린잎 채소를 산소투과도가 50 cc, 1,300 cc, 10,000 cc, 20,000 cc, 40,000 cc, 그리고 80,000 cc/m<sup>-2</sup>/day<sup>-1</sup>/atm<sup>-1</sup>인 OTR 필름과 대조구인 미 세천공 필름(∅0.06 cm, 36 ea/100 cm<sup>2</sup>)을 사용하여 포장하여 8°C에서 22일간 저장하였다. 저장 종료일 모든 OTR필름 처리구의 생체중 감소율은 1.1%를 보였고, 대조구인 미세천공 필름은 5.5%의 감소를 나타냈다. 포장 내 산소농도는 20,000 cc, 40,000 cc, 그리고 80,000 cc OTR 필름 처리구에서 저장 중 19% 이상의 농도을 유지하였고, 50 cc 처리구에서 저장 기간 중 15-16%의 농도로 가장 낮게 유지되었다. 포장 내 이산화탄소 농도는 50 cc 처리구가 가장 높게 유지되어 저장 종료일 11%의 수치를 보였고, 1,300 cc와 10,000 cc 처리구는 각각 7%, 5%의 농도를 보였고, 나머지 OTR 필름 처리구는 저장 기간 동안 4% 미만의 농도를 유지하였다. 미세천공 처리구는 저장종료일 20% 이상의 산소 농도와 0.1% 이하의 이산화탄소 농도를 보였다. 포장 내 에틸렌 농도는 모든 처리구간 유의성은 없었으나 저장 기간 중 1-4 μL/L<sup>-1</sup>의 농도를 유지하였고, 저장 17일째 급격히 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 저장 종료일 조사한 외관상 품질은 50 cc 처리구와 1,300 cc 처리구만이 상품성을 유지하였다. 저장 종료일에 조사한 엽록소 함량과 Hue angle 값은 50 cc 처리구와 1,300 cc 처리구가 가장 높게 유지되었고, 황색도를 나타내는 b* 값도 50 cc 처리구와 1,300 cc 처리구가 가장 낮았다. DPPH 라디컬 소거능은 저장 전과 비교하여 저장 종료일 산소투과도가 높아짐에 따라 DPPH 라디컬소거능이 비례하여 감소하였다. 따라서 왕고들빼기 ‘선향’ 어린잎의 MA 저장 시 황화 억제 및 품질 유지 효과가 가장 우수한 1,300 cc OTR 필름을 사용하여 포장하는 것이 적합하다고 판단된다. This study was conducted to examine the effects of OTR film types on the quality during MA (modified atmosphere) storage of ‘Sheonhyang’ (Lactuca indica L.) baby leaf vegetable harvested at baby leaves size less than 10 cm plant height packed with 50 cc, 1,300 cc, 10,000 cc, 20,000 cc, 40,000 cc, and 80,000 cc/m<sup>-2</sup>/day<sup>-1</sup>/atm<sup>-1</sup> OTR (oxygen transmission rate) films and MP (micro-perforated) film, and then stored at 8°C for 22 days. Fresh weight loss rate of all OTR film treatments showed a 1.1% until the storage end date, and MP treatment showed a 5.5% until the storage end date. The oxygen concentration in the packaging during storage period was maintained at 19% over in 20,000 cc, 40,000 cc, and 80,000 cc OTR film treatments, and the 50 cc OTR film treatment was maintained 15-16% during storage period. And concentration of the carbon dioxide was showed the highest at 50 cc treatments of 11% at the storage end date, and 1,300 cc, 10,000 cc OTR film treatments to show the levels of 7% and 5%, respectively, and the other OTR film treatment showed a concentration of less than 4%. Micro-perforated film treatment was showed more than 20% of oxygen concentration and less than 0.1% of carbon dioxide concentration at storage end date. Ethylene concentration in the package was maintained 1-4 μL/L<sup>-1</sup> in the all treatments during the storage period, and tended to increase rapidly at 17 days of storage. The visual quality was maintained in the 50 cc, 1,300 cc treatments at end of storage date. The chlorophyll content and Hue angle value were surveyed highest at 50 cc and 1,300 cc treatments at the end of storage, and the b* value of yellow color was lowest in 50 cc and 1,300 cc treatments. The DPPH radical scavenging activity decreased with increasing oxygen permeability at the end of storage compared with before storage. Therefore, 1,300 cc OTR film treatment which was most effective for yellowing suppression and maintaining quality during storage is considered to be proper for packaging of ‘Sheonhyang’ (Lactuca indica L.) baby leaf vegetable.

        Active MA조건이 치콘 저장성과 절단면 갈변에 미치는 영향

        본 실험은 active와 passive MA 조건이 치콘의 저장성 과 절단면 갈변에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. Active MA 조건은 저장중 생체중 감소를 억제하였으며, 그 감소폭은 0.2% 미만이었다. 저장중 포장내 이산화탄소와 산소 농도는 active MA 0:50:50 (CO2:O2:N2) 조건에서 가장 큰 변화를 보였다. 에틸렌 농도도 passive MA처리구보다 active MA조건에서 높았으며, 10:10:80 (CO2:O2:N2) 조건에서 가장 높았는데, 그 농도는 0.6 ppm 미만 이었다. 저장중 외관상 품질은 passive MA 보다 active MA조건에서 높게 유지되었는데, active MA 처리구간에 통계적으로 유의성 있는 차이는 없었다. Active MA 조건은 10℃ 저장중 치콘 절단면의 갈변 방지에도 유의성 있는 효과를 보였는데, 이는 active MA 조건의 고농도 이산화탄소가 원인인 것으로 판단되었다. This experiment was carried out to find the effects of packages with chicon in active and passive MA (Modified Atmosphere) conditions preventing for browning on the cutting plane and their storability during storage. The active MA condition suppressed the loss of fresh weight of chicon with less than 0.2% to that of control or passive MA condition. The carbon dioxide and oxygen contents in packages have beed particularly shown as highest values in active MA 0:50:50 (CO2:O2:N2). The content of ethylene was also shown higher in active MA (CO2:O2:N2=10:10:80) than passive MA condition at less than 0.6ppm. The quality of chicon maintained by both conditions seems to be shown better in active MA than passive MA condition, but there was no significant difference among the trials in active MA treatments. Furthermore, the active MA condition has significantly prevented the browning on the cutting plane of chicon at the storage temperature of 10℃. We consider these helpful effects of active MA condition to be a carbon dioxide rather than oxygen and nitrogen.

        왕고들빼기"선향"MAP에 적합한 저장온도 및 OTR 필름 구명

        These studies were conducted to identify the proper temperature and the effects of laser ablation OTR (oxygen transmission rate) film on storability of Lactuca indica L.‘Seonhyang’. Respiration rate in 2℃ and 8℃ was low (20CO2mg/kg/hr). We used 3,000 cc, 5,000 cc, 7,000 cc and 10,000 cc/m2·day·atm OTR films in this research. Fresh weight loss rate was less than 1.0% in all OTR films and storage temperatures. This was lower in the low temperature. The change of oxygen and carbon dioxide contents in packing show the normal trend. The more oxygen transmission rate rises, the more oxygen contents rises. On the contrary to this, the carbon dioxide contents became low. The more temperature rise, the less oxygen contents and the more carbon dioxide contents became. Visual quality had the long storage times for sail in the low storage temperature and the low oxygen transmission rate film. Following these results, it comes to conclusion the suitable type of OTR film such as 3,000 cc and 5,000 cc for MA storage of Lactuca indica L.‘Seonhyang’ in 2℃ low temperature and storage time was 40 days.

        아스파라거스 순 품질에 미치는 강원 영서지역 봄철 환경 요인들의 영향

        Recently, asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L.) has become a popular vegetable in republic of Korea. So the greenhouse cultivated area of asparagus has increased by more than 100 ha. In particular, the cultivated areas (chuncheon and yanggu) in western Gangwon province were increase rapidly. But we have problem of standardization of spear quality during spring harvest of asparagus because of the last cold snap. This study was conducted to investigate correlation between environmental factors (temperature, lowest air temp., ground temp., RH and solar radiation) and spear quality, whereby, to provide basic information of growing conditions of standardized asparagus for export. Correlations between environmental factors for 3 days before harvest date and fresh weight, SSC, firmness were no significant correlation. On the other hand, the mean lowest air temperature for 3 days before harvest date was strongly affecting red color intensity (a) on top of spear due to significant at its correlation coefficient (-0.838**). As a result, when the mean lowest air temperature during 3 days before harvest date is decreased by 1℃, it showed that red color intensity (a) on top of spear increases 1.35 unit.

        레이져 가공 OTR 필름 종류가 저장온도에 따른 몇 가지 엽채류의 MA 저장에 미치는 영향

        These studies were conducted to find the effects of laser ablation OTR film types on MA package in perilla leaf, rape, pak choi and chicory sort of leaf vegetable. They were treated at two different temperature conditions and storage for 7 days, except the rape 25℃ treatment, which was stored for 5 days with four types of laser ablation film such as 3,000 cc, 5,000 cc, 7,000 cc and 10,000 cc/m2·day·atm films for perilla leaf and pak choi, 10,000 cc, 20,000 cc, 30,000 cc and 40,000 cc for rape, as 5,000 cc, 7,000 cc, 10,000 cc and 20,000 cc for chicory. In the all treatments, fresh weight loss rate was lower than 0.8% in 12℃, 1.6% in 25℃ except for the 10,000 cc film of perilla leaf. In the carbon dioxide contents, perilla leaf was maintained at the lowest in 12℃ and 25℃ for 10,000 cc, rape was maintained 3-4% in 30,000 cc and 40,000 cc at 12℃, and more than 6% in all film when finish stored at 25℃, pak choi was maintained about 5% except for the 3,000 cc film in 12℃, and chicory was showed average 3% that slightly higher at 12℃ in the 20,000 cc and increase more than 12% at 25℃ in all treat films. Ethylene content tended to be low with higher gas transmission film, but rape treated with the 10,000 cc and pak choi treated with the 3,000 cc film showed low content than average. It was considered that high carbon dioxide and low oxygen content inhibited ethylene occurrence. Rape was highly damaged by yellowing, but perilla leaf cleared. The 5,000 cc film at 12℃, 7,000 cc film at 25℃ for perilla leaf and the 10,000 cc film at 12, 25℃ for rape and 3,000 cc film at 12, 25℃ for pak choi and the 20,000 cc film at 12℃, 5,000 cc film at 25℃ for chicory had the best visual quality through panel test. In the off-flavor, the 7,000 cc film at 12, 25℃ for perilla leaf and 20,000 cc film at 12, 25℃ for rape and 7,000 cc film at 12℃, the 3,000 cc film at 25℃ for pak choi and 5,000 cc film at 12, 25℃ for chicory showed the best results. The conclusion was 5,000 cc and 10,000 cc films were the best film for MA storage at 12℃ and 25℃ in perilla leaf because it showed the best quality of visual quality and off-flavor. In the case of rape, 12℃ treatment was better than 25℃, and the 10,000 cc film showed the best results in carbon dioxide contents and off-flavor. In pak choi, the 3,000 cc film treatment was better than other films at off-flavor, carbon dioxide and visual quality for 12℃ MA storage, and the 10,000 cc film treatment was better than other films at off-flavor and visual quality. The 20,000 cc firm was the most reasonable treatment in both storage temperatures for chicory.

        강원지역 여주 노지재배 시 정식시기가 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to examine effects of planting date on the growth and yield of bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L.) under open field condition in Gangwon area. All seedlings of bitter gourd were separately transplanted during the early-May, the mid-May, the late-May and the early-June at, 2015. The training method of all plants was made with four lateral stems after pinching the main stem. Bitter gourd of planted at the early-May and the mid-May had significantly higher than other treatments in the main stem length, number of leaves, leaf area index and number of fruit set. However, the length, diameter and weight of fruit had no significant difference among all treatments. The application of planting date was effective in increasing the number of fruit set, number of harvested fruit and yield. The treatment of planted in mid-May had the highest marketable yield (3,812 kg/10 a), and follow the early-May (3,697.7 kg/10 a) and the lated-May (3,697.7 kg/10 a), the early-June (3,697.7 kg/10 a) was higher in the order. The number of harvested fruit also showed a similar trend. Therefore, planting date of bitter gourd in mid-May was effective in increasing yield of fruit under open field condition in Gangwon area.

        아스파라거스 순의 굵기가 저장 중 품질에 미치는 영향

        본 실험은 MA저장과 관행저장(유공필름 포장)조건에서 아스파라거스의 굵기가 저장 중 품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 아스파라거스는 10 mm, 15 mm 로 선별하여 40일 동안 4℃에 저장되었다. 생체중은 굵기에 상관없이 MA저장에서는 약 0.3% 이하의 감소율을 보였으나, 관행저장에서는 3-4%까지 감소하였다. 포장내 이산화탄소 농도는 모든 MA저장에서 5-15%를 보였으며, 산소 농도는 5% 이상유지 하였다. 에틸렌 농도는 1일차에 급격히 증가 하였다가 이내 감소하는 경향을 나타 내었는데, 포장 내 가스 농도 변화는 아스파라거스의 굵기에 상관없이 유사한 경향을 보였다. 저장중 외관상 품질은 MA저장이 관행저장보다 우수하였으며, 관행저장에서 10 mm가 가장 낮았다. 저장최종일에 조사한 이취는 굵기에 상관없이 관행저장에서 MA저장보다 높았는데, 관행 저장에서 저장 후반기에 곰팡이 발생과 부패가 많았기 때문이라 판단된다. 경도는 MA저장이 관행저장보다 높았으며, 굵기별로 15 mm가 10 mm 보다 더 높았다. 당도는 관행 15 mm에서 가장 높았다. Hue angle 값은 10 mm와 MA저장에서 높았다. 이상의 결과로 관행 저장 및 MA저장의 경우 모두 15 mm가 적합하다고 판단된다. 따라서 아스파라거스의 MA저장은 황화억제 및 품질 유지에 관한 유통기간 연장효과가 있는 것으로 판단된다. This study was carried out the investigate the effect of different stem diameter on qualities of asparagus in MA storage and conventional storage (packed with perforated film). Asparagus were sorted by stem diameter, such as 10 mm and 15 mm and then stored at 4℃ for 40 days. Fresh weight loss rate was 3-4% in conventional storage and under 0.3% in MA storage regardless of stem diameter. Carbon dioxide contents within a package maintained 5-12%. Oxygen contents were more than 5%. Ethylene contents were quickly increased after one day of storage and then dropped down to the final storage day. Gas compositions within a package did not shown any significant differences between asparagus stem diameter. Visual quality in MA storage had higher value than conventional storage and 10 mm stem diameter of conventional storage was shown the lowest value. Off-flavor had shown the better result in MA storage regardless of stem diameter, because fungi and decay occurred during the late period of storage. Firmness was higher in MA storage than conventional storage and 15 mm stem diameter showed higher than 10 mm in MA storage. Soluble solid contents were highest the 15 mm conventional storage. Hue angle value was higher the 10 mm MA storage than others and MA storage had higher value then conventional storage. The results were indicated that the 15 mm stem diameter of asparagus was suitable for conventional storage, although the stem diameter of asparagus did not have a significant effect on storability in MA storage.

        몇 가지 국화과 어린잎채소의 MAP에 적합한 OTR 필름 종류 구명

        본 연구는 몇 가지 국화과 어린잎채소를 대상으로 OTR 필름을 이용한 MAP에 적합한 필름을 구명하기 위해 진행되었다. 로메인, 롤로로사, 그리고 엔디브의 어린 잎채소를 수확하여 8℃에서 저장하며 생체중 감소의 변화와 이산화탄소, 산소, 에틸렌 가스 농도 변화를 측정하고 저장 종료 후 엽록소 함량, 경도, 그리고 패널테스트를 통해 외관과 이취를 조사하였다. 세 작물 모두 생체중 감소는 OTR 필름 포장 처리구는 0.1% 이하로 매우 적었다. 포장 내 이산화탄소와 산소 농도는 엔디브, 에틸렌 가스농도는 롤로로사를 제외하고 투과도에 따른 일정한 경향을 보였다. 엔디브의 경우 10,000 cc 처리구가 다른 처리구에 비해 저장 종료일에 이산화탄소 농도가 8배, 롤로 로사는 20,000 cc 처리구가 저장 1일째 3배 가량 높았다. 저장 종료일의 로메인과 롤로로사는 각각 40,000 cc와 20,000 cc가 경도가 높고 외관상 품질이 우수하였고, 그리고 엔디브의 경우 10,000 cc가 엽록소 함량과 경도가 높고 외관상 품질이 우수하며 이취가 적었다. 이상의 결과로 로메인은 40,000 cc 필름, 롤로로사는 20,000 cc, 필름 그리고 엔디브는 10,000 cc 필름이 MA 저장에 적합하다고 판단되었다. These studies were conducted to identify the effects of laser ablation OTR (oxygen transmission rate) film on storability of several Compositae baby leaf (romaine, lollo rosa, and endive). Fresh weight loss rate of spinach was less than 0.1% in all OTR films at three different Compositae baby leaf vegetables except for the perforated film. All OTR films had lower carbon dioxide concentration than the optimum MA storage condition. Ethylene concentration was less than 8.0 μL/L in all OTR films at every treatments during storage. The 40,000 cc film was suitable for romaine with less ethylene concentration, and also shown higher results in hardness and visual quality than any other films. The 20,000 cc film had higher results of hardness and visual quality in lollo rosa. The 20,000 cc film was suitable for endive with less ethylene concentration and high score in visual quality and low off-flavor. Following these results, it comes to conclusion the suitable type of OTR film such as 40,000 cc, 20,000 cc, and 80,000 cc for MA storage in romaine, lollo rosa, and endive baby leaf vegetable.

      • UV-C 조사와 MAP 처리가 저장 중 아스파라거스의 품질에 미치는 영향

        This study investigated the effect of UV-C irradiation and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) treatment on quality of asparagus spears (Asparagus officinalis) during storage. Asparagus spears were irradiated with 15 or 20 kJ/㎡ of UV-C irradiation. Untreated spears served as control. Treated and untreated spears were packaged using oxygen transmission rate (OTR) films (10,000 cc/㎡ ·day · atm) for the MAP and with perforated film for conventional storage. Experimental and control spears were stored for 30 days at 4°C and 85% relative humidity. The weight loss rate was less than 0.4% in all MAP-treated samples, whereas it was more than 4.5% in the conventional storage stored samples. Carbon dioxide content stayed at 5.0-10.0%, and oxygen content remained higher than 10.0% in all MAP samples. All treatments satisfied the recommended range of controlled atmosphere (CA) and modified atmosphere (MA) conditions of asparagus spears. Ethylene content stayed consistently at 2.0-4.0 μL/L during storage. The atmospheric composition (i.e. carbon dioxide, oxygen, and ethylene contents) in all MAP samples was not significantly different according to UV-C irradiation treatment. The off-odor of samples irradiated with 15 kJ/㎡ UV-C was lower regardless of the storage method. Soluble solid contents did not differ significantly with the MAP treatment. The soluble solid content was the highest in the samples irradiated with 15 kJ/㎡ UV-C and stored conventional storage. The hue angle value was the highest at 15 kJ/㎡ UV-C irradiation and MAP storage, indicating inhibition of the yellowing effect of the UV-C irradiation. Visual quality of samples subjected to 15 kJ/㎡ UV-C irradiation and MAP treatment was the best among all samples. These samples retained their marketability for up to 30 days. In conclusion, 15 kJ/㎡ UV-C irradiation combined with MAP treatment is appropriate to maintain visual quality and soluble solid contents and to inhibit the development of off-odor and yellowing of asparagus spears during storage.
