        기능적 Brassiere 개발에 관한 연구 Ⅰ : 착용실태 조사를 중심으로

        The object of this study is to perceive the discomforts of the brassiere consumers according to their age groups & weight groups. The study procedures consisted of a status quo study, a rating on fit and performance according to brassiere types. 1. The result of the status quo study are as follows. (1) The study showed that with getting age bust circumference and bust size become larger with a bigger tendency to droop. Thus older age, bigger bust circumference and size require a technically improved version of brassieres. (2) Slightly tight fit brassieres were favored over more ample ones. The hobbling areas were center front, under armpits, and shoulder strapareas in that order. 2. The results of fit rating on different brassiere types are as follows. (1) The areas affected by brassiere performance were length from side neck point to bust point (bust length), width between bust points and bust height. (2) Compared among brassiere types, the wire type proved most effective. The bigger cup size group had higher satisfactory rate and low discomfort on wearing.

      • 하지분리형의복의 열특성에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of garment silhouette, fabric type, length, and the presence of lining on the thermal insulation values and the regional thermal resistance when bifurcated garments were worn on the manikin. A standing, electricallv heated thermal manikin was used to measure the thermal insulation values of 96 different bifurcated garments. The results are as follows ; 1) The I_(cle) values of bifurcated garments were significantly different in various lengths, materials and presence of lining. 2) The regional thermal resistances(ΔR_(i)) of belly and hip area were higher when baggy type was worn. (ΔR_(i)) of thigh area was different in various length. 3) Clothing variables such as clothing weight, clothing area factor(f_(cl)), and garment patten area were highly correlated with the insulation values of the bifurcated garments. Especially garment weight was regarded as a good predictor of garment insulation.

        트윈세대(Tween Generation) 아동복의 치수적합성에 관한 연구 : 초등학교 5,6학년,중학교 1,2학년을 중심으로 focused on the Tween Generation from fifth grade to eighth grade

        The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on the propriety of the ready to wear garment sizes of Tween Generation(ages from 5th grade to 8th grade) who has different clothing preferences in color, styles, and design and also different body sizes and shapes from younger and older students. The objectives of the study were to ascertain (a) the body figure changes occurring during Tween Generation; (b) the coverage of manufactures' garment sizes. The body measurements of elementary school students(5th & 6th grades) and junior high school students(7th & 8th grades) provide the basic statistics for this study. The mean differences of each size within each figure type are compared by using t-tests. The differences in various manufacturers apparel sizing and figure size are investigated. Also the body measurements and the apparel sizes of the manufacturers are compared in order to evaluate the suitability of the garment size. Results indicate that the body type factors are different in each age group. And manufactures' sizes come out to be much smaller than the actual body measurements. Young casual wear can cover junior high school students satisfactorily but for elementary school students, because of low drop-value, the overall satisfaction with fitting is low.

        기능적 Sports-brassiere 개발에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to proviede basic data for designing sports-brassiere by a questionnaire survey about sports-brassieres preferences and physiological wearing test. The results of the survey and the physiological wearing tests on sports-brassieres are as follow; 1. According to the survey, dissatisfied factors on the sports-brassiere are "drooping and vibrating of the breasts". Preferable factors are supporting breasts by stretch and seldom changing its position by motion. The bigger cup-size and more hemispherical-type causes more discontent than flat-type. 2. The shape of breasts is oval, on what ground, horizontal line is longer than vertical. For the cross section of bust line, shirts type-brassiere is more gently curved than cup-brassiere. 3. The feeling of wearing comfort is correlated with bust-up, shield, close adhesion. The vibration of breasts is correlated with covering area and close adhesion, and the changing band's position by movement, close adhesion. Too much covering area or strain are in inverse correlation of the comfort. 4. The rate of prevention of vibration is 75-80% on superior sports-brassieres, which has broad covering area and excellent close adhesion.

        장갑의 적합성 향상을 위한 손부위 2차원 계측정보 DB구축에 관한 연구 : 성인 남·녀 만 18세에서 만 64세를 중심으로 focused on the ages from 18to 64 of male & female adults

        The aim of this study was to provide the basic 2-dimensional statistics requisite in the sizing system and design of gloves. The 64 static measurements were selected to provide information about hands. Participants in the study were 824 adults, aged between 18 and 64. Subjects were divided into four age groups: 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and50 to 64, and separated according to sex. Statistical tests such as Descriptive Analysis, and Anova were conducted to analyze the data and ascertain the differences among the ages. The disparities between sex groups were compared by T-test. In addition, correlation among the 57 measurements was analyzed and the results were compared to the data from Japanese and other studies. The results indicated that all the measurements were significantly larger in the male group. There were significant differences among age groups for most hand circumferences, breadths and thickness items. As the age increased, the hand circumferences, breadths and thickness items became wider and thickrer. In addition, as the age increased, the mean measurement value of the length items decreased, so that it became shorter. Hand length was highly correlated with finger length, palm length and height. Maximum hand circumference Ⅱ was highly correlated with hand circumferences, hand breadth and weight.

        통신판매용 의류제품의 사이즈 체계에 관한 연구 (제1보) : 미국과 한국의 통신판매 이용현황 비교분석 PC 통신을 이용하여 order Market Compared between Korea and the U.S. Through the Surveys Using PC - Network

        This report gathers data on current catalogue and online order market in the apparel products in order to: 1) identify the current status and critical issues in this area, and 2) identify the differences between the department store markets and the domestic markets on catalogue and online order. In addition, it collected the information on consumer shopping behaviors through surveys in both Korea and the U.S., in order to: 1) compare the consumer behaviors between both countries, and 2) identify any correlations with demographic factors such as sex, age, marriage status, income, education. This was discovered by means of the collected data that in Korea there were the problems related to the apparel products and the apparel size specification, and related to the p.c.-network. Also in Korea the department store companies do not have properly worked out size specifications and are more likely to use 'freesize' categories, while in the U.S. and Europe the reverse was found and the size specification gave more detailed information. Results of the questionnaire suggested that the U.S. was superior in the almost part of questionnaires especially in terms of the user's experience and satisfaction with catalogue & online order in apparel. Additionally, the U.S. had 2.5 times more catalogues and online sites and those were more frequently used compared to those in Korea. The consumer shopping behaviors in Korea showed a correlation with sex, age, job, marriage status and income. And there were significant correlations with education, sex and income in the U.S.

        This paper aims to provide an overview of development trends and applications in smart wear. Electronics products are increasingly penetrating all aspects of daily life. Modern people who have to get around here and there without staying at a specific place tend to take mobile products and computer with them to access network at any time and any place. No one ever leaves the house without having been occupied with textiles. So electronics devices or computer are added to the textile and clothing, Wearable computer and smart wear are good examples. For the textile industry, the integration of electronics can create new market opportunities in the areas of sports, medicine and health, and in the area of safety. And the advent of smart textiles makes it possible to bring the traditional textile sector to a level of high-technological industry.

      • The Effect of Method of Wear on the Insulation of Reversible Jackets

        본 연구의 목적은 의복의 소재, 착의방법, 디자인이 착의시 보온력에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위한 것이다. 실험복으로는 소재 (A―side : polyurethane coating 된 nylon으로 공통, B―side : fur cloth, pile knit, w/nylon plain weave중 1종), 착의 방법 (겉쪽이 A―side인가 B―side인가), 디자인(개구부의 여유분에서 차이를 둔)에서 차이가 있는 12벌의 양면점퍼를 제작하였다. 인체와 크기 및 형태가 동일하고 인체와 동일한 피부온으로 유지되는 동제인체모형을 이용하여 보온력을 측정하였고 인공기후실에서의 착의실험을 실시하여 피험자들의 생리적, 주관적 온열반응을 측정하였다. 실험 결과는 다음과 같다. 소재에 따른 차이는 두께가 가장 두꺼운 fur cloth의 보온력이 가장 높았고, 그 다음이 pile knit, 평직의 혼방직물의 순이었다. 디자인에 따른 보온력의 차이는 밀폐형 점퍼의 경우가 개방형 점퍼를 착용했을때보다 높았으며 그 차이는 w/nylon 평직의 경우가 가장 컸으며 pile, fur cloth의 경우는 상대적으로 낮아 기모된 표면이 안감으로 사용되는 경우 밀폐형, 개방형 디자인의 중요성이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 착용방법에 따른 차이는 B―side (기모된 쪽)가 겉으로 착용되는 경우가 일관성있게 보온력이 낮게 나타났다. 이는 hairy surface를 겉으로 착용하는 경우 외관적으로는 따뜻하게 보이나 실질적으로는 안쪽으로 착용하는 것이 더욱 따뜻하다는 것으로 해석된다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the thermal properties of the reversible jacket. The research design for this study was a 3×2×2 randomised block design. The independent variables for this study were : (1) one side (Side A) of the jacket was identical with micropours nylon with polyurethane coating, whereas material of the other side (Side B) was one of three kinds―plain woven fabric/pile weave/furlike fabric, (2) two degrees of garment closure―open vs. closed design of neck, sleeve and hem openings, and (3) method of wear―depend on which side is out, either side A or side B. Thermal insulation values of twelve set of reversible jackets were measured on an electrically heated thermal manikin. Six females served as the subjects of wear trial. At each testing session, the subjects sat and took rest for 40 minutes and run on the treadmill at the rate of 8 ㎞/h for 10 minutes and took rest again for 40 minutes. Skin temperatures from five locations of the body, temperature and humidity of the microclimate of the chest area and pulse rate were measured every five minutes and thermal comfort and thermal sensation, moisture sensation were evaluated. The results of the study were as follows. Thermal insulation values of the reversible jackets when worn as the microporous fabric (side A) out were higher than vice versa when measured on a thermal manikin. And this is partially proved during wear trials, the skin temperature and temperature of microclimate of the chest area were significantly higher.

      • 스트레치 투습방수포의 성능평가

        Noticeably, new materials for pleasant and well-fit multi-function optimally suitable for human activities have been developed recently in a cut-throat competition though only the aspect of high function was highlighted in the past when we look into the trend regarding the development of materials used for functional wear. The design of functional sports wear is shifting its focus to multi-wear design that allows a person to be casually dressed in normal times, not merely confined to the role of sports wear. In that way, stretch property is the most typical characteristics of material which is being applied to the multi-function & multi-wear. Therefore, this study evaluated whether stretch waterproof-breathable fabric which has been developed and has been sold in Korea met its requirement when it was put on. The result of evaluation indicated that stretch waterproof-breathable fabric neither met the function requirement of bench marking brand nor demonstrated the stretch recovery due to the exfoliation attributable to the stretch property difference between fabric and film when stretched, and to make it worse, the water pressure and tensile strength dropped suddenly. Therefore, we need to improve the methods for producing localized stretchable waterproof-breathable fabric and proceed further with the production of stretch property laminating film.

        기능적 Brassiere 개발에 관한 연구 (Ⅱ) : bust up 기능을 중심으로

        The object of this study is to develope an improved version of brassiere with better fit and improved performance by conducting a try-on test on 6 types of revised brassieres (constructed on above basis). The study procedures consisted of a try-on test of experimentally constructed brassieres and a sensory test on fit. The results of experimentally constructed brassiere trial are as follows. 1. The sizes showing performance effects due to different types of experimentally constructed brassieres were bust length, bust height, under bust curve length, vertical and horizontal bust diamenter, upper-lower bust slope angle (direct measurement, parallel standard, upper torso tilt rate), side bust slope angle and top bust slope angle. 2. Concerning the changes in lower cup interior, elastic materials and wider portions performed better in bust up effect. 3. No effects due to different shoulder strap positions were observed, but combined with lower cup interior changes the side types proved more effective than the standard types.
