      • Agrobacterium transformation 에 의해 Manganese SOD가 과발현된 transgenic tobacco의 개발에 대한 연구

        식물체는 냉해, 가뭄, air pollutants 등과 같은 다양한 외부 환경적인 스트레스에 노출되어짐으로써 매우 활동적인 oxygen radicals 생성을 유도한다. 이러한 활동적인 oxygen radicals 는 식물체 내의 수 많은 생리적 문제를 유발시킨다. 이러한 스트레스에 적응하고자 식물체 내에는 다양한 방어 기작이 있으며, 그 중 하나가 superoxide를 Hydrogen peroxide로 바꾸는 효소인 superoxide dismutase (SOD, EC 1.15.1.1)이다. 방어 기작에 있어서 SOD의 역할을 조사해 보고자, 본 실험에서는 담배의 엽록체에 완두의 manganese SOD를 과발현시킨 형질 전환 식물체를 개발하였다. Northern hybridization과 SOD activity gel staining을 해 본 결과, 이러한 형질 전환된 담배 엽록체 내에서 완두의 manganese SOD가 안정적으로 발현되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. Upon exposure of plant to diverse environmental stress such as chilling, drought, and air pollutants, the activated oxygen radicals are actively produced. These reactive oxygen species are associated with a number of physiological disorders in plant. One of the enzymes involved in the defense is superoxde dismutase (SOD, EC 1.15.1.1) which converts superoxide into hydrogen peroxide. To test the role of SOD in the defense system, We produce transgenic plants which are overexpressed Mn SOD of pea (Pisum sativum L.) in chloroplasts of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L. cv Xanthi). Using Northern hybridization and SOD activity gel staining, it was confirmed that these transgenic plants overexpressed the introduced gene.

        This study has been mainly undertaken to analyze the character and function of the Russian Communist Regime, especially clarifying the relationship of law to politics and economics. In the first place these writers have surveyed the variety of the Marxism in the modern world and found that the Lowenthal, phrase "The history of world communism is at an end" and Djilas's assertion "The obsession with power…… the essence of modern communism…… is at the root of all the evils that modern totalitarian states generate" are rightly suited to the Soviet Russian Regime. This has been true not only of Leninism and Stalinism but of the presen regime of Breznev, who is striving to consolidate his own political authority and dictatership under the name of collective leadership through his present revival movement of Stalinism and has manifested his determination to revise a new constitution. In the second place the writers have recognized the necessity to evaluate the strength and weakness of the Russian system and the beliefs and values on which it is founded by studying the reationship of law to politics, economics and party politics. Making clear the classic views of law of Marx and Engels, they have compared them with those of the Soviet Russian dictators, especially through the study of the Soviet Criminal Law which may express in a most vivid and real way what the political regime stands for. There work two systems of governing people; one is a system of law and the other a system of force (terror). Here law occupies saubordinate position with reference to politics. In the strict sense of the word there are not many realms in which the rule of law and due process of law are applied. These doctrines are workable only to the nonpolitical crimes at most. Every law in the Soviet Union is enacted, interpreted and applied ultimately to protect and strengthen the Soviet dictatorship of few people and the communist party policy.

      • 참깨粕 蛋白質과 Phytate의 溶解度에 의한 pH와 鹽類의 影響

        The solubilities of phytate and protein in defatted sesame meal extracts as influenced by salts were measured. Optimum extraction conditions as influenced by only pH without salt were identified as: extraction of defatted sesame meal at pH 12.0 and precipitation of protein at pH5.0. Crude protein precipitation was better in higher pH. The protein extraction was more effective with the solution containing Na2C03 under the pH 8. The results showed that papain treatment increased the rates of the protein and phytate solubility when those values were compared to the salts treatment. Glutamic acid contents of water soluble protein and salts soluble protein were 33.3% and 20.0% respectively. Both proteins contained relatively high levels of essential amino acid.
