경남서부지역에는 6세기 전반대의 倭係 石室이 다수 분포한다. 본고에서는 그 중 발굴조사 되지 않은 泗川 船津里 石室墳에 대해 봉분 측량과 석실 실측의 결과를 보고하고자 하였다. 선진리 석실은 사천만에서 400m 가량 떨어진 해발 20m정도의 구릉 정상부에 단독으로 위치한다. 약 0.5m 가량 성토한 후 분구의 중앙에 석실을 배치한 것으로 분구 규모는 직경 30m, 높이 5m이다. 석실은 兩袖式 羨道를 갖춘 橫穴式石室로 玄室 규모는 길이 5.7m, 폭 2.27m이다. 석실 벽면은 梯形으로 최하단에서 5단 정도 수직으로 쌓은 후 그 위로 약 13~20˚정도로 들여쌓기 하였다. 입구부는 서향으로 門柱石과 門楣石을 이용해 玄門施設을 만들었고, 양 장벽과 단벽 상위에 1m 이상의 長大石을 배치하였다. 이 선진리 고분을 비롯한 경남서부의 남강 이남에 분포하는 횡혈식 석실의 입구방향은 모두 서향이고, 남강 이북지역은 모두 남향임을 알 수 있었다. 이는 가야지역에서 왜계 석실을 비롯해 석실 축조 방식의 지역차에 대한 연구방향을 제시할 수 있는 자료로서 의미가 있다고 생각된다. A number of Japanese archipelago-influenced stone chamber tombs have been found in west Gyoung-Nam province which are dated in the first half of the 6th century. Mound tomb of SeonJinri,S acheon is the one of them and it didn’t took the excavation. Thus,t his report include the results of surveying data. It is located separatedly in the top of hill that is 20m above the sea level, about 400m from the Sacheon bay. The Stone chamber constructed in the centre of mound(diameter 30m,hei ght 5m) after piling earth up to about 150cm. The stone chamber has central corridor,5. 7 length,2. 27width. The stone walls of chamber are constructed vertically beneath the 5th stair. and sloping 13~20degrees above. The entrance of main chamber is made of large-sized rectangular stones. Horizontal-entered stone chamber tombs including Seonjinri mound tomb that are distributed in south of Nam river have south-directed entrance. On the other hand,wes t-directed in north of Nam river. This fact might be one of the meaningful elements in studying regional differences of stone chamber tombs.
